Thank you for lifting many Nova Scotia hearts, Johnny. Such a powerful song and this video brings it home. From a Nova Scotia gal, thank you for being the person you are. You are humble and kind. It is evident in your eyes and the way you speak of Nova Scotia and her people, that you are feeling the raw emotions that many Nova Scotians are at this time. Thank you for helping us, the people of Nova Scotia, and others who have been affected, including yourself, to heal and collectively remain #NovaScotiaStrong.

A very heartfelt thank you from Shubenacadie NS 💙. Mr. Reid, you've sang no truer words than these. I appreciate your compassion. 'People like you' are always welcome by people like us. I had tickets to your concert but my anxiety of crowds took over and I couldn't go. 😪 Someday I hope to attend ...for sure. Thanks for all you do. You're a good guy.
Have always been the giver vs the taker in my adult life. It seems the world is a different place, where if you give of yourself freely, especially in a new town, you are looked at with suspicion and mistrust. I still have a giving heart ❤️ but I now share its contents with those who are reciprocally sharing their heart. I still try to give individuals the benefit of the doubt, but experience has taught me there are many who are driven to use and abuse when your intentions are pure. Sad but true. I carry on with reservations of freely giving, and try not to lower myself to their level. Plus. I am free to choose my life's course now. It feels selfish after a lifetime of giving to others. I know it is the right path where I can do the most good where I give to myself. I try to be a light.
Johnny, have loved your music since the early 2000s, got to see you live at the Pictou Lobster Carnival and you made us love you even more doing this song for our beautiful province and for the 23 souls that were lost on that terrible weekend.
