Raw Vegan GRAVY Recipe with Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes

- Super Healthy Plant-Based Gravy! Easy, fast and super delicious. Put it on everything and anything.
Cara's Gravy Recipe
To blender add:
2 Cups UNsoaked walnuts
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
3 Tablespoons Tamari or Soy Sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1 large garlic clove
1 cup water
hot pepper to taste (optional)
Blend till smooth. For a sweet kick, add about 2 tablespoons maple syrup or your favorite sweetener. Then blend.
Store in tightly sealed glass jar on top shelf of fridge (coldest on top shelf).
For an exciting, new salad dressing, add savory or sweet gravy to salad greens, and gently toss to coat. Finish with a second dressing of olive oil, lemon juice and a dash of apple cider vinegar.

@@SJGore-jp3lq It's ironic that you posted carrots, I feel a strong grounding energy when chopping, and sense a calm reassurance that "It's going to be ok." I assume this is because it's a root vegetable, and is grounded.
The gravy really does resemble a gravy - very savory. I can't taste any cauliflower in the finished mashed potatoes! It's quite a trip! Yummy but I can only have a small side dish of this since it's all so creamy. I feel so energized after eating this. My mom has made this 4 times since you posted this video 🥰 she's obsessed lol

hey i just realized that sunflower microgreen sprouts (3days weight ontop, 2 days covered not exposed to light, 3 days exposed to light) eaten as (the main ingredient of a) salad - if u eat them with any sort of sauce - somehow give the same mouth feel like (wheat) pasta but in al dente (with a bit of a crunch)
may wanna give it a try if u havent already :O
When you are tasting and enjoying and savoring which is fun to watch I can just imagine all the nutrients exploding into your tastebuds and body!

I did this dish. Or almost. Thank you for the recipe! I also put lingonberries on the top. Since in Sweden we often eat sausage, mashed potatoes and lingonberry jam. Love this!

Hey i tried it today. Its wondefull, just i used to much garlic (2 cloves). You know what I found out with Cauliflower fitting perfectly: Hazelnut and Cacaonibs. Thats just a nice flavour like nothing else. I don't blend it but cut everything into tiny peaces.

Put the cream in a bowl and put it in another bowl with hot water. Stir it up and it will become warm.

Can I use Markus Sweet instead of Maple Syrup or does this gravy need maple flavoring? If so, I have Maple flavoring on hand and maybe a few drops along with the Markus Sweet would do the trick.
Also, in recipes like this should I dissolve Markus Sweet in a bit of warm water first to dissolve granules?
I now use Markus Sweet for anything requiring a sweetener because I want to keep my glycemic intake down. I was previously using Stevia and feel like it’s a step up in terms of nutrition. I also love the flavor. It’s kind of carmel-y. Best sweetener I’ve tried.

Thank you for this simple recipe. I don't know how you get away without a top on your vitamix, mine would throw everything out.
Crispy Apple is yours the shorter model that fits u dear the counter?? As the taller model is easier as less flies out. But not with the shorter model.. I'm still debating as we all want the shorter model to fit under the counter space. But the taller one is only good if you have a island or bar like counter, like what Cara has. Everything has its pros and cons.

Some people have to work up to a raw diet because it works like a vacuum cleaner, in that it cleans out your insides. Most of us start out vegan clean, then move to high raw before eating fully raw. Your intestinal microbiome needs time to change and it can be uncomfortable for awhile.
