@@GuitarLessons365SongLessons Still, will be nice to recap the lesson with the full song it does help the learner. not to sound ungrateful or anything, appreciate the lesson very much
Well hopefully UA-cam will start helping me out eventually and make my lessons show up higher in search results so you don't have to search so long for them. Ahhh one of these days I guess. Thanks a bunch! Carl..
It’s a little hard to get that concept down, and your way of explaining is a little confusing. It’s a really good tutorial, but to make it easier for some begging players to put time stamps for each part covered, otherwise, thanks for the help sir
I know I am a lousy guitar player but guess others too. So in fact 50 people have watched this a thousand times. Best "here comes the sun" tutorial on youtube period and I have tried 4 others before. Each pick movment is correct.
Hey Carl, the performance video is awesome and it works perfectly with the tutorial videos. Hey Everyone, the performance video is awesome and it works perfectly with the tutorial videos. I love this song, what a beautiful, beautiful melody. George was special. Thank you.
Great tutorial! Most lessons are about just moving your hand up and down with a d shape and just "get" it. Pffft. Much better to see each string as it happens. So much better and thorough. Thanks...
This tutorial helped me a lot - thank you very much. It is without tabs, but you can see perfectly what the fingers and the strumming hand are doing. Always pause, rewind, look again - imitate - until it fits. Thanks a lot for that! A small drop of bitterness: The second half of the verse is missing - that confused me a bit. I watched this on another video.
Yes, definitely, I noticed it too that the second part of the initial verse is missing! Now I have to try to figure it out for myself what he's doing in that part!
hi, i really enjoy your tutorials; your instructions are easy to understand and the two simultaneous viewpoint video clarity is right on- there are two other people on you-tube that are top notch they are very good and i appreciate them too, but i think yours are the best- thanks from nw side of chicago- keep up the good work
thank you so much i have been wanting to learn this song for so long but never could find a good tutorial and then i found this thank you so much!!!!!!!!
It's already been said but it is very very helpful to hear the parts played out before the lesson. If you've ever learned a song through youtube you always reference the beginning to see where you've progressed and where you're still off on something. Still a good video but it would be a great tutorial if it had the intros
My 58 (fiddy eight) year old fingers are like a bird's nest for the end of the verses so I came up with what is easier for me, the old sumbitch! For the - it's been a (long cold lonely winter)" etc. part. I keep the D chord formation when I start this song. For the first change - starting with D shape lift only your index and place it on fifth string 2nd fret followed by the 4th string open. Using a down-down single note for each string Hit the 5th/2nd fret DOWN once followed immediately by the 4th Open DOWN once. The index 5th/2nd - Open 4th starts on (Long) Stay in this shape - then With the middle and ring finger still on the D chord shape positions - strum UP on the 1st string 2nd fret then UP on the 2nd string 3rd fret. The 1st/2nd - 2nd/3rd starts on (Cold) REPEAT these two (1st & 2nd strings) with the middle finger lifted up. UP Open 1st string - UP 2nd string 3rd Fret The 1st/Open - 2nd/3rd starts on (Lonely) Finally, DOWN on 5th open into the A chord. That was as clear as mud, but works great for me!! Jack ~'()'~ Canada
GuitarLessons365Song you’re showing all notes and patterns slowly , very slowly but you don’t play the parts naturally flowing... so it gets really confusing.
I love this version and you explanation is very good. Yet I still find it difficult to follow the structure of the song. For an experienced player, this might not be a problem but as someone who only just got to this level of playing, it is a bit confusing sometimes. It would help if you played it through once. Other than that it's taken apart very nicely so thanks for doing this song ☺️
This is a great lesson, but you did leave out half of the verse. I personally figured it out, but is there any chance that you'll make a video with the second half of the verse for those who can't figure it out?
If you're thinking about playing this on electric guitar don't worry it sounds really nice, just play on the cleanest settings possible to preserve the sound of the pick hitting the strings
great tutorial, i just learned this from you. ty. but i would suggest as alternative to mute the 5th string on the G chords and at 11:40 mark playing 2nd sting open instead of 3rd string 4th fret. not saying you played it incorrectly, just a tip to make it a bit easier for beginners.
Good teaching...I would suggest that you open with playing the whole intro and then explain it, and then playing it again...This is just a suggestion from one who makes a living teaching.
I think a tab should be there but you have to understand it’s not a beginner song so you should already be able to follow along and know what he’s talking about
Hey, I know this comment is years late but I'm struggling with the G part at about 3:12. In one part you keep your pinky on third fret second string and the other part you only play it with the upward stroke for the 2nd and 3rd string

@@dylanchan7913 after some time of struggling to do how the man in this lesson does, I decided to do just like you described it, and it is A LOT easier and intuitive, because it goes nicely with the next chord
Hey I was wondering, the way you teach it it seems that the intro is only played once, but in the original record that intro part is played twice and theres a little pause moment on A7, right before the vocals come in. Is your version different on purpose in that way? Because i prefer learning through your version but it comes out different
I know what you mean. Carl has got the first bit of the intro spot on for the first bit. But then on the record it goes around again but it sounds slightly different before it goes into the verse.
