Seems the the 808 is the baseline now, and there is a kick. I only used to use one kick most of the time, and a bass instrument. I’m just trying to catch up to speed as quick as possible.

It’s now evolved to a point where most 808’s are processed and already have that “thump” where sometimes adding a kick makes it harder to mix, (but I personally always use a kick and take my time to mix properly). Don’t get it twisted tho, baselines are still equally as important as 808s depending on the sound of the beat. You might not even need an 808 and jus throw in a kick with a baseline. All depends on the mood. So many different sounds and options now brodie. Jus do some research, you’ll catch up quick.
