He got the taal wrong in the stanza because he didn't pick the "ye kajrari chanchal akhiya" on correct matra after taking the harkat of Akhiya priorly. I am a tabla player so I can point out the mistake immediately. Shreeram is a great singer indeed and there's absolutely no denying in that fact but this type of major but silly mistake on national television should have been avoided as it's not live.
Even if we point out any minor mistake, we can keep it with ourselves. It's really not necessary to make it public. As far as audience enjoined and enjoying his music, these flaws are pointless. Try to keep it with you. No need to show off mate, i respect your knowledge as tabla player, but pointing others mistakes is not good for any artist.Hope you'll take that positively 😊

If I had to show off then I could have presented this comment in a majorly different way and with a lot of attitude. This is something which was overlooked. If it was recorded live then the mistake can be overlooked. But they had an opportunity to correct it which they didn't use to correct themselves probably due to sheer laziness of not having to re-record it. It could have been corrected while singing also but that also was not done. Regarding Sreeram I will mention it again that he is 2nd to no one. This is thing that should have been taken care of by the production. Getting the pickup point of taal wrong is a big no no as far as music & national tv is concerned. It sets wrong example for the students of music watching it because it encourages “are think hai chalta hai” attitude and then people will start quoting such videos as examples.
Yes, it does become an irritating point in the otherwise flawless singing. You are right in pointing it out. I am also a student of Tabla and it does irritate me while listening. People don't understand the difference between Criticism and Trolling.
@@adithyahegde7469 Finally someone here understands what I was trying to say Thanks buddy Taal is the most basic thing which should not go wrong specially in the show of such a high reach and caliber Some think it is a minor mistake As I am both a tabla player and a vocalist I do think this is a major mistake Mistake is not that he got the taal wrong because we all tend to get wrong some or the other time while singing or playing in taal But the real mistake here is the laziness on the part of production team and the music arranger not to correct the mistake that has occurred just because general public doesn’t understand these things deeply
