I'm a bit experienced with sounds and I'm actually watching this comparison with Zealot s78. JBL BOOMBOX 2 here is already tuned to that deep bass and a lot of tweeter high frequencies without much of the midrange frequencies. The zealot in this comparison still has that natural midrange frequency but can compensate to a reasonable extent with the added EQ.
The jbl boombox 2 has a cleaner sound nd deeper bass while the zealot is louder.... i will go fr the jbl for sound clarity nd bass... zeelot sound distorted nd d frequency rate is poor 20hz by 20hz compared to 60hz by jbl

I have lots of zeelot on my workshop wit sound ic problems... zeelot products are just loud wit no details nd clarity... to get full prove, connect any zeelot to a smart tv nd see d response rate...dey lack clarity, dey try focusing on loudness nd upper bass, forgetting clarity nd mid bass nd lower... most zeelot are copy of jbl... if its not jbl den its not... harman d producer of jbl nd oynx has done dere assignment b4 production... jbl don't release products anyhow, bur u see zeelot, dey are like tecno inferior products wit too many models

The zealot without base boost is pretty nice so I can only imagine how much more deep base you can get out of it with the base boost on.But I have a feeling you should not turn that thing past seventy percent with base boost activated

I dont even know who still compare zealot and jbl, like both of the aren't in the same league. Jbl is waaaaayy more better in producing a pro sound. Zealot is just busy copying JBL while not doing it better Jbl is always a better option

Like judging from the view of a pro sound listener JBL sounds way better on low volume which is actually the real world volume you are will be paying this speakers on because they are both noise makers, then even on higest volume I will still choose JBL because their bass is consistent and more refined I have use both speakers even xtreme3 sounds better that this s98 especially on low volumes. In conclusion i advise people to get what they can afford 😁 but it's not worth it to buy a zealot speaker, its less reliable

S98 160 Euro.- vs. Boombox 2 320,- Euro --> Kaufe ich 2 S98, paare die und verstärke die Höhen. So müsste auch der Test aussehen. Man kann nicht Dacia mit Mercedes vergleichen.
I think the reason people will say the zealot is better is because of the mic u use to shoot the video, honestly its not that great. People need to listen to this stuff real life Zealot is just a noise maker, am so annoyed because i wasted money on this and am not getting my money worth. I feel so bad when I play a zealot this big and one random stranger with a small JBL or even HK onyx will come and humilate me with sound quality 😢😂

It's due to its frequency response
The bass is always faster on JBL due to its high frequency response unlike zealot whose Bass response is quite slow compared to the JBL

Yes the zealot passive radiators are too light and flexible so there’s high risk when playing at 100% with bass mode activated

They both have same bass as i listen, the only thing is the jbl has clarity, shines in the treble and a little full.
