Hi Colton, Congrats on your new camera. Glad the Canon R7 worked well for you! I never bought into Canon and their ecosystem, but if a camera is good and works well, it is a great investment! Thanks for sharing!
First, i love listening to people rabbiting on about their process of how they came to determine that they needed another camera... it gives me inspiration for the little stories i sometimes need to tell.😁 Second, those are only 'Pancake' lenses in the States - everywhere else, being where more moderate appetites prevail, these are 'Stack of Pancakes' lenses, with a 'Pancake' (singular) being a weeny Prime. Third, glad you like your new camera and that you've actually-finally got something that does everything you need. Now, all you chould to do is get that adapter and take that deep dive down into the rabbit-warren that is lovely vintage Canon glass (coz you don't ever want to consider paying Canon prices for their best contemporary stuff). Cheers, mon ami... good to see ya and have a great one!
Haha stack of pancakes makes a lot of sense tbh. I suppose the zoom range determines whether it's a "short stack" or a "full stack" of pancakes! Glad you enjoyed my rambling! Ain't no better place to ramble than the internet! Yeah I'm enjoying this new system and it makes me realize how much the Sony system was not serving me.
I completely agree. Canon needs to fully open their lens mount to 3rd parties and they need to invest further into quality 1st party options for their apsc lens. It's embarrassing that the best RF-S lens isn't even made by canon. Hopefully that improves in the future!
@@ColtonMatocha mostly corporate documentary and some commercial promos. I need a good hybrid camera, and this is the one! dual cards, stabilization and other features makes it suitable...

Thank you! So far it's been working nicely as an A6400 replacement!

Cool camera but lens system sucks

@monxyo yup I totally agree!
Easy to find a good camera, but hard to find the right camera.
I couldn't agree more
