    Many thanks to them.
Paul Rodgers is in fine form, and Simon Kirke pushes the track along like his life depends on it. Sadly, it has the strange 'chord' sequence in the middle rather than a full-out blast from Koss (no wonder he felt he was getting squashed). I once asked Andy Fraser about this, and he said he had absolutely no idea what possessed them to put that in the song there, replacing the blazing solo. Lovely to see Kossoff smiling however. Absolutely outstanding.

Wow! What a find. I have been a Free fan for over fifty years. Probably one of the greatest talents to come out of the UK ever. What an outstanding band they were in every respect with Paul R being the finest singer of all time imo. Koss was brilliant and set standards others can only ever hope to reach. Frasers' punchy bass lines were incredible at the time and Kirke kept the whole thing driving along with such a solid beat. If you don't know this band then suggest you seek them out and love what you find!

Absolutely incredible band !!! Adored their music then - and still do almost 60 years on.
This recording is great as you can pick out every single perfect note from Andy Fraser’s bass. Magic!
If Rodgers was the heart of the band, and Koss was the excitement, Fraser was the SOUL of the unit, with that unique funky approach to Blues/Rock! Way ahead of his time.
The ONLY reason that Stealer did not quite match the success of All Right Now, was the lack of a soaring solo from Koss - but what a brilliant song !!! Happy days.

I keep wondering how Andy Fraser can be SO overlooked. I mean, Paul Rogers... my favorite singer of all time. Paul Kossoff... gone way too soon, and widely admired. But Andy Fraser? Good golly, he was driving this groove. Free fans from the beginning knew he was a great bass player, but every time I see a video of them from their prime, I am amazed by the way it revolves around Andy Fraser's solid groove. It's almost like he was playing lead and Koss was playing a kind of "harmonics" on top of it. Of course, Simon Kirke was of the same caliber as the rest of them, but in a band where Andy Fraser is kind of a mere footnote to many people, it is easy to be overlooked. It was kind of amusing though that nobody wanted to be interviewed, but the announcer referred to Andy as "the leader." That might indicate what his band mates thought of him... I dunno.

60, can't remember when Free was'nt in the "collection",
this performance is cool to see, seen a lot of this time period vids of them. strikes me in this particular vid that
    "Dem boys was "jacked"....just sayin.
The "Free" self titled album Is my go to when I'm in the mood for hearing them, if you're young or just learning about them find it....Mr Big..you better watch out!

    Andy is the leader?
    This statement became a frustration,
I can feel it expressed in Paul Rodgers' vocals!
It's so raw and it shakes my heart so violently!

No frustration at all, A. Fraser was the founder, along with Rodgers.

I resent this band for recording Alright Now. I got so sick of hearing it on the radio for the next twenty years.

NO. He's absolutely right. I love Free. One of my favorites of all time. But that song so clashes with the rest of their repertoire. At this point I hate to hear it. The only thing that saves it is Andy's bass part.@@julianp4787

RIP Paul Kossoff, and Andy Fraser. Such a terrible waste. Paul would have been one of the guitar greats, and Andy's bass playing [Mr Big live] was fantastic for such a young guy. I bought this single when it came out. I couldn't believe it didn't chart, it was better than "Alright Now".
