Allow me to state that I do not agree in abuse or sexual violence. However I do agree with Repentance, Forgiveness, & Reconciliation. In the beginning it was all about the ML gaining life with no regards to another's. However, ML was willing to compensate in any way possible. However, ML should have been honest with FL & gave her the option to chose. It is noted that the ML soon fell in love with the FL & desired to be with her only if she would live. The ML suffered from an illness that caused him to lose control & yet, he was willing to suffer alone if it meant she would die. In the beginning he was selfish, but as he learned what love was through her own words and deeds, he no longer wanted to risk her life. Sadly he was deceived & ended up hurting the one he loved. Once he learned of the deception he was deeply greived & then devistated over FL "death". FL had every right to feel the way she did, not knowing the whole truth. ML should have been honest. He should have found a way to woe her once more that didn't involve more deception. To seek her forgiveness by way of witnesses who knew the whole truth. She was remorseful when she learned the truth & deeply greived. As to whose heart she had, it's believed to be his, from what we see at the hospital. However, at the end when we see him standing at the bottom of the steps, we could possibly conclude he was still alive. However, I know that sometimes they show the L seeing only a vision of the one who passed on because of their grief and longing. So, as to whether or not he was truly dead, that's left to be a mistery. I do believe it ironic that once they had consumated the second time the FL regained her sight. Had they not been torn apart by what others had said, they would have healed one another & lived happily. The ML was cold hearted until he learned to love. Yet when his love was talen from him, his heart beame cold again, which is why his daughter suffered at his own hands, because he was too impulsive. But when he learned the truth, that FL was not dead, his heard melted again. But he was afraid and acted in ways he believed were best to his clouded understanding. FL was clouded by pain & unforgiveness. Both ML & FL suffered. Although they were destined to be together, others tried to keep them apart. There is no greater love, than for one who lay down their life for a friend. I believe FL should have been informed by ML or even by the Personal Assistant instead of by the villian brother. She already loved the ML, but in that moment of feeling betrayed, she faught for her life. Had she time to consider, she might of layed down her life. Love is the greatest gift, sacrificial love is the ultimate sign of love.
