Great advice. I’ve been told of a myriad of deck formats over the years and all have had an element of ‘argument from personal experience’. Your format resonates more with me than all the others so far. Rewriting my deck starts after posting this comment! Thank you!
I can't believe how relevant and helpful this is to the product deck I'm currently working on. Thanks for all the great tips and keep the content coming!
I love those videos with details and real life examples. You are becoming one of my favorite start up youtubers to watch now along with Garry Tan and Justin Kan. With a couple more videos I think your youtube is gonna blowup and go to the moon 🚀🚀🚀🌕🌕🌕
Super video Wayne. I agree with a lot of what you were saying - and STRONGLY disagree with what you presented on some other points! Create controversy, right?
@@nogatekeepers Absolutely, Wayne! Your videos definitely stand out. 🏆 You keep it crisp and clear. I discovered your channel about two weeks ago and have been a huge fan ever since. Thanks!
Absolutely top notch content Wayne! Networking is one of the great challenges in today's lockdowns for entrepreneurs, specially us here in SE Asia reliving 2020. Intrigued by SignalFire's model, do you target SE Asia?
Thanks Farah!! We unfortunately do not, since we don't have anyone native to the SE Asia ecosystem on the team. I'm personally very bullish on tech in the region and broadly outside of Silicon Valley though!
@@nogatekeepers cool, pls consider coming here with your model, terrific opportunities over here and a great life! No need for a native in the team, just dive in and the tech ecosystem is pretty compact in each country, happy to help with the Philippines, I miss SF/Bay Area but found my heart in SE Asia :)
Looking for how to pitch B2G business model I found your channel and only I can say it’s great because has a lot of work and detailed words to express your content. But I can’t find any hack about refining my pitch idea . Any chance to hear from you a tip about that?. P.S. already subscribed
Thanks for the video! The most tricky thing is to get some PayPal mafia folks to the Team slide :) Many VCs (and top accelerators) explicitly prefer to engage primarily with founders with exits experiences or at least ex-C-levels at hot companies. So how can the rest, 99.999% of the world's founders, stand out? Only traction? It's okay, but it would be nice to outline it.
Thanks for dropping the nice note and the question! I agree that a lot of VCs back pedigree or previous founding experience. I think in lieu of that traction as you mention is the simplest way to standout, but it's perhaps also possible to do so with a demonstrated pace of learning/iteration (e.g. very fast product launches and clear early signs of strong engagement even if not huge scale yet) or unique insights and knowing a problem space better than others
Tricky question - in my opinion depends on a lot of factors: the company stage, the amount of capital raised and the amount of runway you have, how much revenue/cash the company is generating, how much equity you own in your company, and personal factors which have to be considered as well. A good topic for another video! I see anywhere from 25-100k for Silicon Valley founders at the seed stage.
It's incredible how much high-quality content you managed to pack into a video!! Thanks for doing this!
Thanks so much Viki! Glad you enjoyed it!

Hi. Just wondering what tool/software you used for creating the video? Thanks
Adobe Premiere for my core workflow, a little bit of Davinci for color grading, Audition for sound and Aftereffects as well
Oh no, OpenSea might hit the $1B revenue before 5 years. Launched in Dec 2017!
Ah you’re right! It’s a brave new web3 world :)
How much should a CEO pay himself?

I'm going to start shooting this video in the next couple weeks!
Super useful as I was working on structuring my pitch. Thank you. 🫶
