@@bobbyjohn7225 The match 3 and logic grid puzzles are the ones which aren't random, they're all handmade and have unique solutions. This is especially important for match 3, because randomly generating match 3 puzzles like that tends to result in very hard puzzles that are also quite unsatisfying (I've tried it), but it's also quite important for the grids to end up being as nice to solve as they are. Apart from the ones which exist in enclaves (dungeons), all the other puzzle types are randomly generated -- the game scatters about skydrops and armillary rings and I think possibly even some of the matchboxes, and it makes new random sentinel stones puzzles and crystal mazes in a few places on the main island. I think it also has a large number of areas where it can place hidden archways and cubes and rings randomly.

At first I didn't think I would enjoy this series, but it has grown on me as the world has opened up and the puzzles are more engaging. Think I might give it a try!
I love how Tyler had areas where he was like "Maybe you gotta go outside and find a way to jump up" only after getting the wings, forgetting about his mega jump.
I once found what I can only assume was a six difficulty logic grid. It had a star thing above it. I know it wasn't a five difficulty because right next to it was one with five dots.
For the mirror mazes, it seems like Tyler's poor crosshair placement had actually been a blessing. The shininess of the floor seems like the way to navigate them
Oh dear... After your first video I had time to explore what I believed was the entirety of the playtest, but almost every single puzzle you showcase is one I haven't found :O I'm really enjoying the puzzle design, but I was wondering how you felt about the MMO part of the game. I personally really wished that the game would have at least some form of co-operative puzzles. I also find it odd that most milestone rewards for puzzle mastery unlock cosmetics, yet theres no real social aspect to the game. I really hope in the future that they create some form of Hub area where you can chill with other people and maybe find a party to enter more complex co-op puzzles (: This game has so much potential and I'm super exited for it.
almost certain more multiplayer interaction is coming, they've already done the difficult part of setting everything up. developing an online game is orders of magnitude more diffucult than making it singleplayer, and server costs are expensive. no developers in their right mind would go through the trouble of laying the groundwork for an MMO, sync player actions/movement etc. only to leave the gameplay as a singleplayer game.
-there is no mistake- -I'm assuming you think the upper left corner should be a white square?- -but if you look at the pattern, that is actually the bottom of one of the black shapes, not the center- I messed up, I was shifting around the main shape without considering the larger pattern

This playtest was amazing and I'm very excited for this game's future (especially when I looked at the potential puzzle types shown by the skill tree)! Only complaint was skydrops not having an explicit tutorial (all it needed was something as simple as a screen showing you to make a white circle of spheres), something more than just the circle of them that forms when you enter the empyrean journey.
10:17 "so now I got 2 spheres at the same time" with editor note "my buddy in college did that" I wonder if that is a reference to the banach-tarski paradox if so, my respect to the editor
Oh WOW. I didn't even see the solution in the puzzle at 27:40. I went and looked for a pattern in each of the 9 "pixels" and applied it to the bottom row. Which I guess is another way to solve it, but simply seeing the vertical connection of complimentary filling would have been much easier. Also, I'm really glad Tyler finally figured out Skydrops exist.
This is a game I would have so much trouble with, but I love watching the puzzles getting solved. I'm not bad at puzzles, either. I just don't have the patience to solve them...😅 And Autumn is cool, helping you now and then when you need a little hint. More gamers should be like Autumn. "Oh, this player seems stuck, I'll give 'em a nudge in the right direction if they're still there for a minute."
For just the first area of the game, there's a lot of variety between baby puzzles and some stompers. I'm assuming this is prerecorded and you're pretty much done with the alpha, but in case, spoiler alert, there's a small island with a bunch of very tricky connect 3s, which is shocking to find this early in the game. Despite the pc constantly struggling to make it through, this game looks so promising
