This is a KoЯn song indeed but KoЯn did perform on an Ice Cube track that’s got a tight beat. It’s called F*ck Dying. Another KoЯn song you should do is Here To Stay and Did My Time. They also did a joint with Nas called Play Me.
Play me was really bad, to be fair...That was during a dark period in KoRns history though, Guitarist Brian Welch was going through a bad meth habit and was sort of AWOL during the recording sessions for Take A Look In The Mirror. A large majority of the guitars were written and recorded by Munky.
How did you type a backwards R lmao
@@ethanfowler1752 just do a google search for backwards R it's very easy, then copy and paste it.
The song is about all of the abused and neglected kids rising up against the adults
It’s inspired by the story and movie Children of the Corn by Stephen King about a small town where all the kids kill all of the adults and take over because they are sick of how adults have made a mess of the world, they are actually being controlled by an ancient demon which actually speaks to an idea that even when the kids broke away from adults they were still being controlled by an older being
The original movie is the best. Between Isaac and Malachi. I didn't know which one to fear more
Good choice. I also recommend the song "BBK" from the same album. It has beat-boxing/scatting as well. It's also heavy.
My parents never got it either but I was obsessed with Korn. Johnathan Davis (lead vocalist) went through lots of abuse and dealt with it by screaming his lyrics. Teens have a lot of aggression built up and music is a great expression.
I’ve heard some cool stories of when Korn collaborated with Ice Cube on this song. They were both under the same management at the time which is how they reached out to Cube. And Cube was the one who came up with the idea for the song concept. Head, from Korn, said that Cube wanted to see what they drink, and they had Jack & Coke and Coors Light. They showed a picture of him drinking a Coors Light with Fieldy and Ice Cube looked less than impressed like “why do they drink this? It’s like water”. They also played it live together every night on the ‘98 Family Values Tour. It’s actually pretty rad live.
Loved this song since it came out when I was in 7th grade in 97/98, I had been listening to Ice Cube since the NWA days and Korn since 94 when their first album came out
Around the 8:30 mark he is using some sort of guitar effects pedal to make his voice sound like that...there is a video of him recording that on their DVD called Deuce.
I saw this tour 1999! Ice Cube, Korn, Limp Bizkit and Rammestein
Was 1 of my favorite tracks when the album originally dropped.
Old school Korn was so much better, they had more rap & hip-hop infuince/colabs on thier tracks.
Maybe try all in the family. It’s Korn and Fred durst
It’s like a rap battle between the two. It’s kinda cool but not a song I would legitimately listen to
Nononononono
Love the drums on that one. Of the songs that really got me into Korn.
That song is so bad its good
@@tpp5151 It's a fun song, and not meant to be taken seriously which is what makes it work even though it's for sure the worst song from FTL...
he jonathan davis, is the voice of the abused, the molested. he speaks the thruths no one will. go down that rabbit hole my friend. being a grown man who was molested as a child. he was a saving grace
The story of Children of the Corn is about a small town where the kids kill all of the adults
Being a fan of music is the best thing on the planet besides people themselves
This song goes hard AF
My name is Michael and that’s the Defeander/warrior of god in the original Hebrew but I was actually named after Michael Jackson and I was a weird outcast just like MJ
Fire track. AOL instant messenger time, my screen name was "child of korn nn" i had to add shit cause the original name was taken. live and die by this one.
Hey! Remember EZ MILL? EMINEM AND DR. DRE signed him to AFTERMATH/SHADY RECORDS.
Woow, congrats to him 👏🏾
It’s inspired by the Stephen King story and movie Children of the Corn
Yeah Jonathan Davis was a big fan of Jazz scaring and beatboxing
Yeah Ice Cube and Korn were representing the Queer youth that got kicked out of their homes or sent to Conversion therapy camps where they were tortured for just who they loved
suggest any of the rest of the follow the leader - reclaim my place - a hype song. justin - dedicated to a fan that died. seed - similar to bbk. my gift to you - one of the darkest songs. Cameltosis feat Tre Hardson - a rap song that is mid. All in the Family feat Fred Durst - a rap song that is funny. Earache my Eye - funny song but wouldn't recommend
HERE TO STAY by korn should come next

NO ONE REMEMBERS JONATHAN DID A TRACK WITH BUSTA RYMES TOO. I didn’t like it but it’s out there.
No one remembers Jonathan did a track with the rapper Marz either...
