What an instrument, though...
I'd blind swap my Les Paul for one of these, sight unseen, not knowing the price tag. It just looks like Les Paul evolved I a parallel universe, by a different guitar making juggernaut (i.e. from Gibson to Taylor).
Love the top. Love the thickness - thinner than a LP, fatter than an SG. Just one volume/one tone and 5way witch in a convenient spot. More effective cutaway with cookie bite cute aswell (ala PRS). And the minihumbuckers...I've always had a fascination with them.
In all, it could be the perfect LP style guitar...
I have one; it is my favourite guitar ever. I’ve had lovely a USA Strat and Tele, and played and recorded with some stunning Gibsons, including a ‘69 Black Beauty. The SBS1 is something really special.
Needs more likes- seesh!
Wish we knew what amp he was playing through. this is great!
W.J is an excellent musician.
listen and enjoy the ARROWHEAD cd of Wayne johnson trio, it's my favorite record
wayne's one of the best around I wish he'd put out a blues album Larry Carlton did Iwant to steal more licks from these guys.
Hey thanks a bunch for checking out my vid and thanks for your comment. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that. If you feel so inclined share it with your friends on face book.
What a great demo of tones, possibilities and the Taylor SB1. I have a standard model, great guitar, very innovative, flawless, lightweight, beautiful to my eye and ear, I treasure its uniqueness, so completely don't care that I am one of the few players that wields on of these, the guitar serves the musician who serves the music....This sits happily in my guitarsenal. I am pretty convinced I can get any sound I want on this guitar and more. It causes you to explore. Funny how now iconic guitars like to LP, etc. were flops when first introduced.
"Guitarsenal" stealing that...
@@ThomasStrings I got it from Tony Pelecastro.
Man if only I could play like this...
super duper!
Taylor should stay by A.Guitars or do somethig radical alse!!!There is enoug copys!
The Taylor Solid Body guitars were anything but a copy. I bought a Custom Walnut in 2007, but unfortunately lost it in the Wooroloo bushfire earlier this year...just to remind yoY: guitars like the Les Paul and the Jazzmaster/Jaguar were failures too...
