I really liked the format of this video! The mix of vlogging and showing what you're doing, like the before and after comparisons, was really affective and enjoyable to watch :)
I watched yours and Hannah's video on organising calendars and tasks etc., and I've just finished organising my Google Calendar. I feel a lot less stressed lol. Thank you for the tips in this video!!
💡loved this, so helpful :) I've put this into my bullet journal: have a page dedicated to 'daily healthy habits' that are easy, small things to do everyday, often things you forget about like drinking 2L of water, exercise, personal hobby/pleasure etc that you can check in on everyday, ask 'have I done this?', and either physically or mentally tick off everyday to ensure your day-to-day life is generally good for you :) x
A wonderful thing I started doing in 2018 is scheduling specific time to sit by myself and do whatever I wanted. Obviously most days it wouldn't be an insanely long time but I would have a minimum of 20 minutes carved out of my day for just me. It can be a nap, watching TV, meditation, staring at the ceiling, anything. But it is alone and it is entirely for me. I think it did wonders for my mental health and I highly recommend.
This has been in my watchlist for aaaages and I just got around to watching it now! Suuuper helpful, thank you!! Would never have occurred to me to clear out my phone and who I'm following on socials but I've just added it to my to-do-list!
i change my linen once a month and my towels and pillow case weekly! that should be a good amount of times to do it. also if you air your blankets/covers out frequently they'll be less gross in the long run
These videos are so beautifully edited and produced, your content is honestly so inspiring and calming, thank you so much for everything that you do! X
Your videos are honestly so calming and make me feel better when I’m stressed, thanks so much for what you do and keep up the amazing content ❤️❤️❤️ and your content on social media is so inspiring as well, keep being you! 😀
i've had to adapt my organizational habits drastically over the past eight or so months since i dropped out of school and started working full time doing something not dissimilar to freelancing. last month i wiped my ical clean of everything prior to like. july so i could create new categories (though i don't think i've perfected them yet lol) and i also bought a really simple dry erase monthly calendar off of amazon i think which sits at my desk. i love my ical for being on the road on my phone and for the weekly overviews but i love having a physical calendar that oversees the whole month at my desk for when i'm doing admin stuff. another thing i started which has been totally incredible is a timesheet of sorts in excel for me to keep track of all of the hours and income i'm getting off of freelancing. as a newb it's really useful to have a clear way of identifying patterns and seeing how much i'm earning, where it's coming from, how many hours i'm getting at different places, stuff like that. i hope to develop a spending budget in a similar fashion but i've always been bad with money and i've always had a lot of internalized guilt about that so it's going to be a process i think i'm also a huge fan of a good clean but being a total disaster i often will book myself like a whole afternoon to like. do laundry and take out all my garbage and vacuum and wash the dishes that have built up and clean my desk of etc etc etc cos fifteen minutes is definitely not enough for me once my room gets messy lmao
I'm not sure if you've heard of 'oddbox' i saw it featured in a cooking video once, it's like a box full of wonky or mishapen fruit and veg and i think all the packaging is paper x
This really inspired me to curate my instagram. And wow, I knew I was following pointless accounts, but I didn't know how many!! I went from 350 to 208, which in my opinion is pretty good :)
I love this!!! So helpful!!!! I'd love to see more content like this from you. And you're so realistic in your suggestions and explain them really well. I'm on a little bit of a mindfulness improving kick atm and I'm definitely taking these tips on board
Moonuary season is finally here! Love seeing your growth and change over the time I've been following you. I think you've been really honing in on your particular style of video and persona. Great job! Can't wait to see how you progress in the future. From Instagram btw! 💡
You should do a video on how to get a good, matching Instagram theme? I've been trying to get my photos a certain theme for ages but I can't seem to do it. Also love your theme!
I’m curious what other people think about curating social media. I’m trying to be more aware of echo chambers online and the ones I take part in. What do you do to make sure you’re staying connected to the bigger picture while also not feeling super sad about the world’s state? (also want to include that I don’t hate Lucy, I love her and have followed her for over a year now. I think she’s doing a great job. I simply want to know how people see curating their social media to be positive or negative)
That’s a very good point! I think it’s all about having real life discussions with people in your life who have viewpoints you may not agree with and also keeping up to date with the news - even though the news is biased, you know what the bias is and can trust its accuracy to some degree
I’m right there with you on the curation stuff! I...think it’s odd?? Like not necessarily bad, but there is something so privileged about “purifying” your feeds to make it full of only a certain kind of content or only a certain type of view point/message. Basically, I don’t think silo-ing is ever good and while “talking to people in real life” is great, it’s not always feasible and some people really don’t know anyone who will talk about their different viewpoints to them (ahem, me). Personally, if I’m going to curate my feeds, I’d curate for quality and importance, rather than how it makes me feel; as an example, there are some bomb journalists who have really important and interesting information, none of which will make me feel good 😂 and then just limit my time on social media (because at the end of the day, I think spending less time scrolling will have a larger impact on my well being). But you know, at the end of the day, anyone can do whatever!
Josephine Josephine I love that we can talk about this here! I can agree with your choice to depend on journalists that you trust to give accuracy as well as insight into difficult topics. That’s bomb. It can be all too easy to look at the pretty instagram feeds and forget that that’s not really the world we’re in. It can also be nice sometimes to find encouragement with like-minded people there.
@@airsea602 I'm so glad I found these comments! That aspect of the video bugged me a little because I did feel the "follow only what makes you happy" advice lends itself to echo chambers. I'm completely on board with going quality over quantity and staying tuned to varied news networks while limiting social media activity. It's the way I operate and while I may not always be happy with the news I see on Twitter, I'd rather feel that than be ignorant.
Get on Feedly and gather the rss feeds of print articles from newspapers (eg. Guardian has long-read articles). Make sure to include a couple foreign mews sources and left+right ones.
Love, love your mug! I purchased one the other day, and your black tee as well! Hoping the white tee and jumper will come back in stock in my sizes :) Love this video, organising is so good for the soul, it just puts you in a good headspace.
First off, loved the makeup, shirt, and necklace towards the end of the video. You're just so naturally beautiful! And second, DRINK MORE WATER IN 2019! You'll see improvement in skin, weight, thinking clearly, and just feeling better in general! :)
Been doing the same thing this past week to start off the New Year! If you haven’t already, I would highly recommend checking out Marie Kondo. She’s a tidying/organization guru! She has two books out (“The Life Changing Magic Of Tidying Up” and “Spark Joy: An Illustrated Master Class On Tidying Up”) and a show on Netflix (“Tidying Up With Marie Kondo”). Everything I’ve learned from her has been revolutionary and a total game changer!
Solution: delete social media apps off my phone entirely and my laptop browser also blocks them. I used to try and curate my social media but it was too much work and negativity always seemed to seep in eventually. So before exams in December I just stopped using them and I am so so happy with my decision
This was really interesting as I recently curated my Instagram and Facebook. I don’t have twitter anymore and haven’t got about 2 years. Insta is now 56 and Facebook is 165 people who I care about or who inspire me. UA-cam is now 40 and I’m slowly going through channels and if I don’t enjoy 90% videos I’m unsubscribing which is working really well for me :)
Oh god, alarms. I hate alarms so much, like I have an alarm which goes off every day and thats fine. But, if any other alarms go off (not to wake me up) then I have a moment of panic, it is horrible. This mainly happens when watching GBBO. :/
>says 'there's no affordable grocery shops in my area in walking distance' >orders off ocado ?? i mean i get it if that's literally the only supermarket that delivers directly to your area, but still... granted this is from a student perspective.
Yeah it’s not ideal at all but I could get a discount as a first time buyer so I thought I should try it! Also they use a lot less plastic than most other supermarkets which is something I’m trying to work on
Lmao I like the video but when you talked about clearing out your socials, it made me laugh. I just went ahead and deleted my accounts 🤣 such a waste of time and energy
Me starting this video: "was i just called an egg"
Im not saying im not an egg i just wasnt exoecting the call out
@@tessarabbit7160 you weren't "eggspecting" it LOL
being called a lovely egg made my day

I really liked the format of this video! The mix of vlogging and showing what you're doing, like the before and after comparisons, was really affective and enjoyable to watch :)
This is what I do on days where im feeling particularly anxious and it’s reassuring to see someone else do this
So original I love this 💕
Good morning you lucy Moon my Princess ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️☕ good morning you lucy Moon
Went straight to unfollowing and muting people right after this vid and I already feel better scrolling through social media. I honestly love you

This might be one of my favorite videos of yours! I love the blog type style but I’m still like learning something? idk lol

Not saying we're soul sisters or anything but I also have half a lime in my fridge right now 🐙
