- ABC Action News tracks tropical developments in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico. Category 5 Hurricane Milton continues its approach to Florida bringing devastating storm surge and winds to the Gulf coast
Give this guy a raise. Best TV meteorologist I've seen.
This guy is the best one.
Best I've ever seen too
Keep running people and don’t look back be safe I am praying for you guys. Love from Montreal Quebec Canada
Can my family come up and stay with you? ;-)

@@Nick-kq2swwe just left our car on the highway and now have a truck taking us further down till we can get out of the state
There's nowhere to go!
Oh no! That's what i was afraid of
I could watch and listen to this guy all day long. Absolutely never ever do I turn to the Weather Channel.
I live in Tampa bay
Praying for our state of Florida 🙏🙏🙏
You know he's in deep when he's announcing the weather without his suit jacket.
😂
Sleeves aren’t rolled up yet…….
Its all for show to come off he is so concerned
Those suspenders are.... suspenseful...
Mans looks like he stressing for some more pictures of spiderman
This weatherman is incredible!! Best I've heard!! The way he explained where and what to expect with Hurricane Milton , was clear.
To all my Floridian brothers and sisters: stay safe. It will be a bumpy ride but we will get through it.
Thank you. Can use all the encouragement we can get. 🙏
Evacuate.

Hes just putting on a clinic out there!
This dude literally just said yesterday it was NOT going to go south... give me a break. Meteorologist are all the same. This thing will do whatever it wants..
Denis is the f-ing man. I’ve trusted him for almost 20 years.
None of them ever get it right.
Never trust anyone

We moved out of Tampa and I miss Denis and his hurricane reporting.
I'm praying for Florida from New Orleans. 🐊❤️
This forecast brings me back to the Weather Science classes I had in college. Awesome meteorologist!
This guy exudes competence, thanks.
Very experienced weatherman. Speaks very clear.
He's our boy, all day baby!
Stay safe Floridians. ❤
🙏🏿
This guy needs a raise! Really great job
Great report. With the traffic jams headed north, think I'd head south.
If I saw this guy on the street I'd say "he either sells cars or is a weatherman, but whatever he is he does it well"
😂
Imagine if he left weather to be a car salesman, imagine how well he can sell a 4 wheel suv to anyone because he would convince them of the weather. He'd make a killing
😂😂
Thank you Denis for always breaking it down for the layman. As serious as our storms are and can be, you always keep us informed in a calm manner. You always say, don't freak out unless you do...
give this man a raise tho
Denis explains it well. Thank you! 🙏🏽
agreed!!! he has been my go to hurricane guy since 2004
I worked Hurricane Andrew relief in 92. The devastation was life changing.
PLEASE, KEEP ANIMALS AND INFANTS WITH YOU AT ALL TIMES. An infant of 8 months was found in NCa wondering ALONE this week. Please, take your animals with you and get very far from the coast and above in mountains far from lakes, rivers etc. SPREAD THE WORD!
I never heard of a millibar before, but after Milton, I know more about millibars than I ever dreamed of. Thank you.
918 millibar is the same as .918 bar. 1000millibar = 1 bar
High pressure pushes storms away - low pressure attracts them.
@@leonskum6864
To add, 1 bar equals atmospheric pressure at sea level, approximately.
14.7 pounds per square inch approximately.
This guy is informative, wish we had him here, mid- Atlantic.
Subbed just because of this guy. Willing to give his professional opinion gained from experience+education in the context of modelling. We need more people to speak from such a place and not be hyperbolic or, conversely, afraid to state what they think. GJ!
This guy is absolutely incredible
Andrew wasn't supposed to hit Miami, and it turned and hit us.
The eye of Andrew was forecasted to hit Aventura/Hialeah in Miami-Dade County -- I don't think the shift spared Hialeah/Miami Springs
Tsss
Yes. I was born and raised in South Florida. I moved to Orlando two years ago and we haven’t had a storm this big hit since the 90s when Andrew hit. I can remember how devastating Andrew was and the eye of Andrew hit Homestead. You are right it turned last minute. To all my fellow Floridians, I know were used to hurricanes, but don’t take this lightly.
@@nicolemyrick86 whats Andrew
@SouthSudanCountry the name of the storm that makes you ask "What's Homestead?"
I'm in S. America, watching this monster head for my home state!
I appreciate these updates. Thx!

This guy explains things very well!
I can`t even imagine such wind speeds. This is crazy. I would die of fear.
Ohhh my goodness, this is so awful, all the residents living in the area, poor people 😢. I really hope everyone gets out of the hurricane and get to safety 🙁🙁🙁🙁🙁
milton is just flexing at this point
He has to live up to the horrible destruction heaped upon humanity by the theories of Milton Friedman.
Also. WFLA’s in house model that’s literally been spot fucking on for the last 3 hurricanes still shows it hitting directly through Tampa Bay so we will have to wait and see. I think we will know more at 11pm or even possibly at 9:15 when the next batch of spaghetti models come in
Excellent analysis. Appreciate your professionalism and common sense insights into how we should be preparing for this storm.
Prayers ppl in Florida
Geez Nick Saban does everything !
😂

😂😂😂😂
Great comment!!!. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 He does look like he could be his brother
We got hit in New Orleans Cats 2 or 3 before. It was enough to destroy houses, flooding, and power outages for weeks. I can feel your pains.
This thing is headed directly over my apartment
What county is that ?
Thanks for the update. I live in St. Louis and I have family in Valrico in Hillsborough County. Praying for all people of the Tampa Bay Area to get through this nasty hurricane okay. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
This guy is great.
Oh I don't know. He sound like kind of a dork if you listen at his voice.
It’s about his delivery stop being critical
it may seem weird but I think it’s nicer at night because it’s too dark to truly see the devastation hapening til dawn’s early light
Not sure if it would matter. I’ve been through a tornado at night. Very terrifying not seeing it, but hearing and feeling it in complete darkness.
@@Easyrecliner yep been through that, during the day and at night a few times. I find it less frightening not seeing things flying to be honest. I hope you and your family make it through the storm safe and little to no damage 🙏🏻
A+ explanation here by Denis

Sir,you are the best .Thank you for details
Just say it. It’s coming to fort Myers ! Darn it
Very thorough! Thank you
Awesome weather report
Thank you 💞
Great weather information!
Excellent explanation
It's going to dodge the wind shear by staying south and destroy Miami as a Cat 5
Greatest thing I have ever heard.
When panic starts to kick in. They start talking as if the audiance is a toddler.
How about fix your app? When I try to check the latest updates everything is in fast motion and there is no sound.. what? do I need to go to UA-cam to get to get updates since ABC Action News can't get it right?
Ian was supposed to hit tampa/south tampa then it turned and hit fort myers. Looks like a repeat of that
This isn’t Milton it’s Helene coming back for round 2
I've been watching a lot of the local newscasts re the hurricane and these folks are so stressed out. Best reporting because these people know the actual impact of this event on their communities. Dennis here looks absolutely exhausted.
it's going south relax
indecisive ahh storm
I’m in Sarasota literally next to the airport on 41 Tamiami
Well hurricane milton better get the he'll on bc I just got my baby back and he ain't finna take it no mo that ong
I said this would head a little south yesterday and I'm no meteorologist. Just a gut feeling...and those feelings are usually right. It annoyed me a little that no one was reporting what could happen if it DOES go south of Tampa. Ignoring the Port Charlotte area in all the news channels. And, apparently, still ignoring it.
Always trust your gut! Your instincts always know.
@@AshCupricI'm afraid it will go lower :( more towards S. Florida
Yep I agree ☝🏽
Category 5 is my bet when it comes ashore. I hope it weakens, but chances are with that warm water it won't. Better to error on the side of caution on this one and get out ! Brick houses were totally destroyed during category 5 Andrew with gusts over 235 mph, it's not worth taking the chance.
Who is Andrew? Also I live in north port should I get out of Flo
@@SouthSudanCountry Hurricane Andrew struck Florida in 1992.
It has the rest of today, all of Wednesday and most of Thursday to strengthen over very warm water. The experts are saying that we may need a new category 6 to describe this storm so it could very well land as a cat 5.
@@SouthSudanCountry Yes I would. North Port will probably be ground zero if it doesn't start moving more northerly. The winds and surge will be the highest on the south side of the storm.

it's gonna hit more south than they think

Exactly no body knows, we just have to be careful and not panic as floridians we know 👍🙏
7 inches of rain is just crazy. There's going to some major flooding.
Ooh, it's too real
It’s moving back and forth, you just don’t know where it going to go perfectly.
To quote the incredibly talented Ben Shapiro:"when the Florida coastline goes underwater people will just sell their homes and move" so to all you Floridians bracing this storm, therein lies your answer.

Florida may want to call this the “SR-60 Cane” - Clearwater/ Tampa to Vero Beach.
So how is this a category 3 storm when the highest wind is going to be 82 mph?
I don't live there but this guy gives great analysis so it's easy to understand the seriousness of this storm. I'm in Savannah......we welcome all of you to GA. ❤️
Looks bad for Sanibel again !
Why are these wind gusts so low if it's suppose to be Cat 3 with 125mph sustained winds at landfall
Pretty sound advice , as someone with over 29 years experience in Disaster Services, the best we can hope for is it keep tracking south and avoids catastrophic damage in Tampa Bay, stay safe friends
That's the best you can hope for for you, not so much for Ft. Myers and surrounding areas.
somoene still going to get hit :(
Best you can hope for is that somewhere else gets destroyed?
@@CageyCretin That was never what I said and if you grew up in area like I did, there are far less people and homes south of Tampa Bay and All of Bradenton Sarasota already completely evacuated. I say its better it hit a less populated area that is not inhabited rather than slam and flood over a Million
@@Vincy4Life Police already executed a mandatory evacuation of Bradenton Sarasota and Anna Maria Island, so it can only damage what Helene already TRASHED A WEEK AGO
