Ices take on Christianity was terrible. Not terrible because he shouldn’t ask questions. Terrible because he has the take of a 7th grader who thinks hes the first one to come up with the question that actually does have an easy answer, Joe was going to go into it but he recognized that he is not an expert so he’ll shut his mouth. Also, religion is also what freed the slaves. It was Christian’s who thought slavery was wrong and fought against it. They were called abolitionist and history wants you to forget that their motives were based in religion. Slavery had been a part of HUMAN history, why don’t you look up who sold the slaves to the colonies? African tribes enslaved each other, it was a by product of war. It has always been around. And yea people have used “god” to justify horrible shit, I think that is evidence enough that they were not good followers of christ. Sorry if this doesn’t make much sense , tried to say a lot with a little. I hated how no one challenged it with common sense, and how parks co-signed and doubled down, when it’s clear they are just repeating a narrative that they heard.

I understand everyone has their own beliefs and I can respect that, but what people need to understand is that what falls under the umbrella of Christianity is more than just Catholicism. There is a blatant disrespect for Christianity as a whole. I don't hear anyone talk about the Quran the way they talk about the bible, and they most certainly don't talk that way about any of the other major religions like Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, or Judaism. However it always seems like the people who have the most to say are the ones who haven't even taken the time to actually do the research themselves. God doesn't hate you if you're gay. It's the sexual act in itself that's considered an abomination, the same goes for fornication and adultery. A parent can love their child and at the same time dislike their actions but still have love for said child.
In regards to who wrote the bible, it was prophets, priests, kings and servants, lawyers and fishermen, scholars, and ordinary men wrote it under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit through dreams, visions, and some recall hearing his voice. God was very much part of that process from start to finish.
Shout out to Flip for being the only one to speak up and pretty much call it out for what it is.
