Chad Lingafelt chats with Jonathan Jenkins, Community Manager at Kuester Management Group, all about HOA’s. We dive into what is an HOA, the fundamentals of HOA Management, and how they are effective. Jonathan shares some great information about what you should look for in a HOA Management Company and some tips to help other Community Managers!
3 Things HOA's should look for in a management company:
Response Time - Communications with Board members and Home Owners (24 - 48 hours)
Technology (how they manage information) how the Home Owners get and send notifications
Vendor Management (who do they use?)
3 Things Community Managers need to focus on
Proactive (What is coming up, how do I prepare for the future of the community) Budgets, Preventative Maintenance
Relationship Building

I was looking for this comment 🎉
Great conversation guys. Very helpful.
It actually starts around halfway through the video.
Thank you for promoting the good HOA management companies do!
Our pleasure!
BS! Management Comp are the pit bulls for our personal agenda driven power hungry board member (neighbor volunteer just like me) to selectively enforce arcane rules and generate income to solidify ego and self worth! There is always an agenda with these folks! not hard to discover when you get the time to look (which they count on you not doing)!
How would one get into this field? I’m trying to change my career from restaurant management to HOA community association management, I applied for a company that seemed like all they were looking for was someone with my skill set. I didn’t get the job but don’t want to be discouraged but can’t find another company that isn’t asking for experience like that one was,
What city do you live? I just applied to one today .. but the job openings are in the Bay Area California..
@@cristalmejia2939 I live in Houston
@@Missdede1231 keep Hoas out of houston, we don't need people telling others how to live their lives
Hell to the heck no you a Karen bruh
@@htowncaveman6433 Yup it’s enough to bow down to the City,State and Federal Government. Lol
Ask for the page number and paragraph to see it for yourself in YOUR community bylaws. Bias application and stretch of words in NOT allow. My percentage is 100 percent that HOA management intentionally or naively stated untruths and discriminatory application which in NOT allowed. Know your documents.
I like this type of organic content thank you fellas.
Where do all this money go
We hate HOA
Me too paying someone to get permission to do something to your home that you're paying
Yes. You are the bad guy. Your not for the co owner, you work for the hoa and keep accountability off of them.
Only thing you should know about HOAs, Dont move into a community that has one.
