Thank you Jayda. This is such a sweet idea. I made a few changes. Kitty is my daughter and A taller beige kitty is her fiancé. They are both holding little silver double heart jewelry craft pieces. I will give each the other kitty. Important to remember the other before the wedding. My daughters fiancé lives in London. I love your craft ideas.
For my daughter and her fiance I made two hello kittys. White and black was the bride. I added tiny heart earring pieces. The brown cat wore blue jeans. He had a white bow tie on, heart jewels as well. When it was time to give the gifts My daughter received the brown/fiance kitty. Her fiance received the white kitty. He lives in London and I thought they might enjoy remembering each other with a kitty. Thanks for the instructions Jayda. My daughter asked, "Did you make these?" Of course. I love them both. The wedding is in June. More crocheting to go.
+ruth frantz Hi Ruth, thank you so much for watching :) While I have two other granny square tutorials up (you can find them both on my channel homepage!) I don't have one that is specifically one colour. But it's a great suggestion, thank you!
Hi Ruth, if you're using a thick yarn, a simple double crochet will suffice (plus it will be a fast build) if you have thinner yarn, than my Easy Fan Stitch pattern would be lovely. Working with black yarn can be hard on your eyes, so make sure whatever stitch you go with, you have PLENTY of light to crochet by! Have fun! :)
I was also wondering.....if you could make a crochet Divergent collection....maybe different faction designs on a messenger bag or something......hehe....it would be much appreciated :)
+Alanna Martin Hi Alanna, those beads are from a pack of multi coloured beads that I got an eon ago. Having said that, in the past I picked up most of my craft supplies at bargain stores, dollar stores and the V&S department stores (which are hard to find now). They are plain, round plastic and I would say around 4mm in diameter. But flat-topped buttons (like I often use on the other Pocket Pets) are readily available in Walmart's craft section and I've also picked up small beads there too.
+Rhonda Maner Hi Rhonda :) I actually have a pattern on an amigurumi giraffe for sale in my Etsy shop, if you want to visit and take a look at it, you can find it here: www.etsy.com/ca/shop/JaydaInStitches .
It will turn into a little "bowl" shape either the first or second row after the increasing finishes. If your tension is a little loose, then switch to a smaller hook size. Once you add stuffing and the bottom, you can "squish" your amigurumi into the shape you want 😊
