Definitely not a '90. This one would be a 1991 model or '92 the latest. 1991 was the year where the headlights, grill and tailgate on all Dodge Dakotas would be redesigned. However, the Dodge Dakota would still have the 1987 - '90 body style. 1996 was the last year for the first generation Dodge Dakota and was completely redesigned for the second generation in 1997.

That's my favorite Dodge truck.
I like the interior
its actually its a 92 or newer, i have a 91 and it was only offered with sealed beam head lamps, not the aero style head lamps that he has. it has alot of stuff only the newer 92 and up models have, i switched over the speedo, adjustable mirrors, cruise control, steering wheel adjustment and seats because the 91 didnt come with all of that. but it is a nice truck and its mpfi magnum block the tbi LA block motor was pre 92.

This was also the last year it had the old manual crank windows which date back to the 1970s.
***** I mean the design of the crank window handles on the 1991 model date back to 1976 whereas the ones in the 1994 models are the ones used in the 1996 Dodge Caravan.
Not a 1990, this is a 91-96 and psychedelic dragon is wrong I own a 1990 Dakota and it's automatic and they made V8 models but they weren't as popular as the 91-96 V8's were
could you drop the seats and have some storage for small things, like in the Tacomas of that era?
been looking for a topper/camper shell like the one here for my 90 Dakota 4x4 ....by any chance is the Tag still on it for the model# and the manufacturer . if so shoot back a message ,Please thank you ...( if you could please take the measurements for it also. )

1990's had only manual stransmission in it i have the manual from my dads old 90 dakota and it only offered manual and the biggest engine for it was a 3.9
