True. The upper midwest has some of the largest seasonal temperature swings of anywhere. common to see a low of -20F in the winter, and 105F in the summer (with humidity). That's a 125-degree difference.
Montana here. Just went through a solid week of -20F+. No bugs in the summer, though. Because Idaho is usually on fire and the smoke blows this way. Stay where you are. Especially if where you are is California. It's awful here. We all hate it but we live here anyway.

I used to be a security guard, ages ago. Had to guard this outdoor tent sale some place was putting on. My car had broken down, so I had a buddy drop me off at the site and I just unpacked a lawn chair, blanket to sit on, and my radio. August 19th... The temperature dropped to 33 degrees Fahrenheit that evening!! I about died of exposure, huddled in my blanket, curled up next to a running generator!
Omg I live in Iowa and all my cousins live in Wisconsin I love it there we visit almost every month for about a week but yes the weather is totally accurate ❤
FRLL i live in southeast wisconsin right by the lake and istg the weather is like a roller coaster! one day it will be like 75° and then the next it will be 32°

@@mmmd3429 I thought so.... Funny thing. We used to see huge swarms of starlings flying around the city and filling the trees and power wires. We do not see them in the last number of years. Birds eat bugs. Correct? There are few if any mosquitos, there are few Flys, referring to flying insects only. Several years ago the city was warning of mosquito spreading Zika Virus. I am a polymer chemist, not an entomologist, but our first clue regarding the eradication of flying insects was noticing we have no bugs on our windshields doing 80 mph down the vast freeway system, reportedly the largest in the world. I haven't called Vector Control but I'm not exaggerating in the slightest,we live near the top of a 40 story high rise and we see few if any bugs anymore. I don’t get why people are so bothered by the UEG exercising dominion over its own colonies. I think the word colony immediately brings up memories of European Colonization, but that’s not what the UEG is. Each planet is more like a U.S. state than a British colony. Each planet get to elect their own governors and their own senators. My point is, I don’t understand why it’s such a strange concept that a government would want to govern it’s own people. You might take issues with how they govern, but the UEG is a colonial empire made up of humans. Earth did not go through a brutal and devastating Civil War to establish a unified government just for people a few hundred years later to decide that they don’t like pulling their fair share.
