I started following you and some other ant channels. i got an acrylic ant nest off of amazon, and i took a rotted wood full of pheidole megacephala queens and brood and workers took as much as i can i will post them on my channel
They went deep into the ground to avoid the intense heat at ground level. Today as it's cooler they're right back under the rock where they normally are
The two places I go anting in Wisconsin is southwestern Wisconsin and northern Wisconsin. I generally try to avoid southeastern Wisconsin because ant diversity isn't the best.
