Once again I must say that when Matt says, "I would like to say Hi to Andrea" and the camera pans to reveal that it really is Andrea, it is always the highlight of any RV review.

This is my favorite class C! The space with the slide in, the tv not in the bunk, but across from the seating, the counter space, the north-south bed, nice big windows, u shaped dinette, an 800lb bunk, there's a whole lot to love about the 319MB! Not a fan of the privacy curtain in the bedroom...needs a sliding door!!! I agree that if this is meant to be a top of the line Class C, it needs some updating.

Disconnect switch for a compressor fridge is very useful !!
It prevents your batteries from draining when not connected to shore power. Or during storage. You may not want to use the #RV disconnect switch if you want to use lights etc and still turn of the fridge.
I am assuming the fridge does not have a off position. The early magic chef (everchill)compressor fridges did not have on/off capability

I agree it generally didn’t feel like a premium product, but I LOVED the valances!! I hate kitschy patterned valances and think these plain ones with the metallic accents are really nice.

I strongly agree with your likes and dislikes.
    Additional likes:
Rear ladder to get up on the roof, rear storage, and the bedroom slide with the closet.
    Additional dislikes:
Power cord is not permanently attached to the RV, cheap blinds on the kitchen window, cheap cabinetry, tower of power in front of the televator, tight bathroom, and the bathroom door with no frame or wall above the door.

We have the 2019 version of this RV and we love it. However, you asked for things we like/don't like or would change. We have the captains chairs in the entertainment area, which I we love versus the new bench seating. Something I would change is the TV. Take out the window behind the TV, mount the TV in that spot, then the counter space would be huge and totally uninterrupted. Mounting the TV would allow for deeper drawers. This video shows a fireplace; in this area we have a cupboard. We prefer having the cupboard. We love the bathroom area. When you open and latch the door to the bathroom, and close the door to the living area, it creates a large bathroom area. We love the outside kitchen; having that sink provides a place for the kids to wash their hands before eating without going in and out of the camper area. We have had other RV's in the past our 2019 Leprechaun is the best!

I LOVE how you can use everything with the slides closed
I LOVE all the seatbelts (I have a family of 5 I don't really see a lot of seat belts in a lot of these vehicles)
    I Love the layout
    3 dislikes
    1. I dislike the step up to the bathroom.
    2. I HATE the propane (do they have option of no propane because that is a deal breaker for me)
    3. I dislike the toilet room size (just a touch bigger would be better)

    • @LeoHernandeznyc
      @LeoHernandeznyc 2 роки тому

@Wesley Smith I'm Not afraid about gas. Problem is you cannot go on certain Bridges or tunnels if you even have propane tank on or in your vehicle. I don't understand what you mean about the weight issue.

    • @LeoHernandeznyc
      @LeoHernandeznyc 2 роки тому

@Wesley Smith actually yes there are about 8-10 police at the toll boothes right before you go onto the bridges/into the the tunnels to stop vehicles with such items.

    • @LeoHernandeznyc
      @LeoHernandeznyc 2 роки тому

@Wesley Smith you seem to not understand which police are at the bridges and tunnels and airports versus the police in the cities. The police that are at the ports airports Bridges and tunnels protect those areas from crime including combustible canisters that may be used in attacks. This is why many of those places have restrictions. This is one of the reasons you do not hear of explosions in the United States on our bridges ports airports and tunnels

We watched Matt's previous review of this unit before our purchase and it helped with decision-making. That said, after years of RV shows we were already pretty sure this was the one.
We love the north-south bed, accessible without opening the slide-out. The living space is quite ample without extending the front slide-out. We also appreciate the outside TV/sound bar, built-in table, and fridge.
Our RV plan is to ride bicycles and paddle in every state. We crossed Northern Tier US for the first time last summer and plan to cover the Southwest with a focus on Rte. 66 this fall.
The outdoor acoutrements work together to create the perfect spot to maintain the bikes, then put the grill on the table, connect the gas and cook up a nice meal, all under the cover of the big, big awning.

    Likes:
    1. Televator with good viewing placement.
    2. Counter space.
    3. Low step into shower.
    Dislikes:
    1. Lack of kitchen cabinets/storage.
    2. Cheap look of the finish and cabinets.
    3. No King bed option.
    Easy fix recommendations:
    1. It looks like there was a sliding door between the frig and shower and a curtain between the shower and bedroom. The toilet door swung towards the bedroom. I would recommend reversing everything. Make the sliding door between the shower and bedroom. Have the toilet door swing towards the living room. This will ensure the most privacy for the people in the master bedroom.
    2. To create more kitchen storage, remove the gas oven. If you have a microwave/convection oven, why have a gas oven too?

  • @james23p

The fridge disconnect is for when you store it. Those compressor based 12volt even when off still draw a small amount of electricity. So the disconnect prevents parasitic draw on your batteries when put in storage.
But I agree it doesn’t look premium. But the bunk looks good. Tough call great video.

Ok, I really like this one. The outside kitchen and fridge, neutral pallet, and all parts are functional without the slides out. Love the dinette. Wonderful televator, great counter space. Don’t care for the outside TV. Can’t think of any other dislikes. I actually like the less fancy twist on this coach.

  • @Blakehx

I mostly agree with your likes and dislikes! Slam-latch doors are too easy and cheap enough that there’s no excuse for any manufacturer to use twisty doors! I really wish they had continued the cabinets over both the sofa and dinette. The weird decor accents… meh, don’t like em but I can ignore em! Love the fridge, fireplace, decent size sinks, layout, etc!

While Coachmen added a window to the overhead bunk they did not provide a shade. The sun down here in Florida will kill the indoor temperature in the summer - the A/C will never be able to keep up. The drawers in the kitchen are really small - won’t be able to fit silverware and accessories in them. A “refrigerator cutoff switch” - what were they thinking? Would much prefer theatre seating - I don’t think that jackknife would be big enough for small kids. Like the televator and spacious kitchen counter. On the outside, that “kitchen” is nothing more than a cheap, flimsy looking table and sink taking up one compartment and the a small fridge in the other compartment. If there was a delete option I would get rid of them and gain much need storage space.

We have a 2020 Leprechaun 317SA floorplan. Perfect for us! Has a hallway with entrance into bedroom and bathroom! And bedroom from bathroom! The hallway is perfect for our cat box and food and water bowls. And love the separation it creates between living space and bed and bath areas! And tv drops down from cabinet over dinette directly across from couch, which we replaced with recliners!!!

Matt, I’m surprised that you didn’t know that some 12 volt refrigerators turn on when you plug in the RV. When I’m not camping I keep my RV plugged in for lights etc but I do not need to keep the fridge running. The refrigerator disconnect switch is a great way to isolate the fridge from the rest of the electrical system.

Agree with all you said. Got a request for you, Matt. Can you start calling manufacturers out on how low some of them are installing the black and grey pipes? Coachmen and Entegra are way too low. Winnebago, Thor, and Forester/Sunseeker are less apt to be taken off from a pothole or steep incline.

I agree that it's not top of the line, but neither is that price point.
I like the valances. I love the space when slides are in, totally usable when you can't or don't want to put them out. And the counter/kitchen space is amazing!
I can live without the fireplace, and I hope that's an option. I would rather have storage there. If I want a fire, I'll go build one in a pit. I would rather have a theater seating option instead of the jacknife sofa, but that usually is an option. And I think they could have done better with the toilet. I know it was given a P3, but I don't think Will would have given it a P3. Matt did look a bit squished on the one side....maube it was the puffy coat, Idk, but... Just my 2 cents.
Really, none of these dislikes are deal breakers, though. They just are what they are.

    Thanks for another great review….
    Likes:
    1. The floor-plan
    2. The dinette
    3. Having both a conventional oven and a convection microwave oven
    Dislikes:
    1. The twist door latches outside
    2. The televator not being countersunk when retracted
    3. The Tower of Power is in a stupid spot right in front of the left hand side of the TV
    4. Crappy outside kitchen. Give us a fridge, a griddle, and a propane hookup for a BBQ.
    5. The couch with no armrests
    6. 24” wide shower is narrow compared to other split bathrooms
    7. Lack of solar capability
    8. Crappy interior design - colors, style, etc.
This dud doesn’t need much to make it a winner….
    1. Euro designed interior would be a start.

Great review again. Let me just say, we had a 40' Class A. We changed over to a Coachmen 5th wheel, that we loved, but we sold that too, because for us, they were just too big. Limited where we could go so to speak. I have been looking at Class C rvs with this kind of floor plan. Specifically the option to put recliners where the couch is, and having that TV directly across from the seating rather that up in the bunk, or above the door, or in a position where you get a crimped neck trying to watch the TV. Those two things may seem like little things, but to me they are huge! I would really live to see more of this in other models. If I buy another RV, it will be a class C, and it will be something with this kind of floor plan. I agree Matt, sometimes the smallest of details can make the biggest difference.
Thanks you guys for another awesome review.

Most people that use Class C that i know aren't out chasing the glampers.
Think it's a over priced but most all rigs are now.
    Lots of good storage throughout.
Like the televator cause 99% of the time i wouldn't be using the tv. I have a phone😱 annnd a projection screen. (They're putting them in with both screen houses & tents so we can tent glamp 😬😮)

We ordered the 319MB with full body paint in May of 2021 and it just arrived at the dealership at the end of January 2022. We are scheduled to take delivery of it in a few weeks, but have been in it twice since it arrived last week. Our unit does not have those odd looking metal plates on the valences. I do share your opinion that the quality is not up to par. We chalk it up to the supply chain issues. We still love the layout. The full body paint looks fantastic. The aluminum rims look great too.

Oh my gosh, I have relatives in Tampa and I sure as heck I've never seen them dressed like that I knew it was cold down south family in Georgia are making snowmen! I love your show and I would never buy an RV without doing it through you ❤️

Agree with most of what Matt said it doesn’t look premium at all to me. Also fridge disconnect button was totally stupid.

I like the layout. I like the plain valances. I like the space when closed.
I dislike the windshield over the bunk. It is a leak waiting to happen down the road. I dislike the bump when the TV goes down into the kitchen counter rendering that space near useless. I dislike the armless couch.

    Love this class c!
Well except the twisty door locks.

I actually like this motorhome. The floorplan is nice and reminds me of my current 1991 class A minus the TV in the kitchen. I do not like the curtain in the bedroom. I would rather have a pocket door. I prefer a sofa with arms. I love the U shape dinette. I am not a fan of the TV popping out of the kitchen countertop. I am not sure if there is a lip to prevent spills from going down into the TV. My current RV had a refrigerator cut-off switch. I say had because when I had to replace the refrigerator, the new one had an off switch built-in. But you are right Matt, I don’t know anyone who would rather have their food spoil to run both A/Cs.
I also agree with you that this unit is not high-end. Not with twisty latches and base model side view mirrors and a TPO-Crossflex roof (just to name a few)
    Great video as always guys!

Thanks for the review Matt and Andrea! The Leprechaun used to have w/d prep in the bathroom for a combo... I did not see it mentioned here. 😞 Also do not like those twisty knobs on the outdoor bay doors. The bathroom was way to small for me. I liked the bunk, the TV televator, and the counter space in the galley and 16 inch tires (affordable!). This seemed like an average Class C otherwise. Thanks again for the review!

I love the floor plan. Not crazy about the tiny doors on the cabinet over the couch-limits what you can put in there. But, while I’m not sure this would work when you pulled out the couch it looked like you might be able to put some stuff under the seat. I actually like queen beds in units this size. Gives a little walking around room, and I love that it’s north/south. I think a tv should be standard in there, though. And speaking of TV’s, while the extended kitchen counter is a plus, I can just see someone trying to prep dinner while the kids are watching TV (one reason why you need a 2nd TV in the bedroom). And even tho I agree about the decorating touches (the valances, etc.) the price point is nice.

Love the review. As a follow MD guy, What do you think about the WFT getting a new name today?
I dislike the twisty doors and that sofa. But the TV placement is great.
Do you have any tips on RVing with cats? My wife and I are about to start a 6 month - year RV trip with two cats (hopefully we don't pick up any more along the way as both are rescues). Do you have any tips for keeping the furry ones safe and happy?

I can see Matt's point. If you don't know the Leprechaun history, then this is a middle of the road rig. Given what this is supposed to represent, it is living off the name. For a smaller coach is mostly well done. The slides in and ease of access is great. I was never a fan of the separated bathroom/shower, though with the size limitations it is common on these. The issue always is the price. Most of the answers to "How do you afford the cost?" has been a 240 month loan. I am not taking a 20 year loan on a vehicle that is never meant to last that long. :) My house with standard mortgage will break even or go up in value with routine upkeep.
Update: I went to the website and for the "real" price it is more inline with what the coach is currently. Remove options like full body paint and you are getting to before times prices.

The only dislike I have is the twisty doors for the outside storage, otherwise this is exactly the kind of Home I want to finance and get for my husband and I as a part time live-in

I agree with the dislike Matt. The difference for me is that I had no expectations of the Leprechaun line coming into the video. All I saw in this video was the same low end, price point, cost cutting Coachman materials that I see on their other Class C's. I never like that part of their units, but it doesn't bother me when the price is at or below $100k. For $140k+, I would expect better than balsa wood cabinets and plastic couches. Yes I'm exaggerating, but it all looks very cheap.

Great review again!! I like the lay out in this unit. I like that they put the window in the bunk like our new entegra 30z. I don't like the tv in the counter at all. I don't see this unit comparing with the entegra for luxury feel in the unit. Unlike Matt I like the twisties. We had slam latch with our toy hauler and the handles would fill up with water and they didn't always seal right. Loved the outside entertainment. Great review and I don't think you were too hard on them!

I am reviewing your class C's at the Tampa location, and the pictures did not do it justice, especially with the outside storage. The company did listen because of the upgrade to the seats. The generator changed so hope it is as good as the Onan.

The pointless lights that stay on in the frosted overhead cabinets.
The dark colors that makes the place feel warm and cozy.
    The generous MSRP.
I don't like the Odyssey better.

    ❌ No drawers in bedroom
    ❌ twisty locks on exterior
    ✔ Televator
    ✔ Kitchen counter space
    ❌ No TV in BR
    ✔ Bunk weight limit
    ❌ Definitely not premium

Like the floorplan/layout .....but not so much the execution...example...the ladder strapped to the bunk cushion 🤣 it even gave Matt a hard time. If Jayco or Thor built this....it would be a home run.

Andrea, you look so hug-able in your soft n' fluffy winter outfit, you're Amazing! Thanks for getting the CCC too. Matt looks like the Michelin Man in his Magellan jacket lol. Seriously tho you do the best RV videos. I think I'd like that RV better without the slides and swivel front seats.

I like the way the TV is, I like the bed usable at all times, I like the outside table thing. I like that the look is not too feminine. I do not like the name Leprechaun my buddy's would tease me endlessly. I don't like no washer dryer but maybe there was hooks up for it and that would be cool. I did not like how the cab was to low tech. Hopefully it had auto level I missed that if it was in the video.

Another great, informative, & entertaining video/review. I like the amount of space it has when the slide is in, north & south bed also usable when the slide is in, the tv view position. I think the interior is better than their 2021 model.

I gotta agree. That thing now looks like a cheap travel trailer on the inside. I just sold a 2017 319MB and it DEFINITELY had a better looking interior. The cabinets look CHEAP! The chairs look CHEAP... everything just yells CHEAP. Like Matt said... Coachmen you need to step up. Loved our 319 but I sure wouldn't buy a new one.. and the price!!!! wow... they are asking premium.. why not show it? Thanks Matt!

I agree 100% Jayco puts out a much better class c. With the exception of the valances, nothing is as ugly as the farmhouse ones.
The biggest difference for me is the (seamless) front cap Jayco uses.
