A month ago for my birthday I got a 2016 dyna lowrider with stage 1 and I love it. Throttle is a bit sensitive but I get excited each time I get to ride it
I bought a stock Dyna and rode it like that till I made it into a club style It took me a year to build, thought about selling it and getting a bigger bike but I still Love ridding it It's a keeper !
I have had 4 Dynas, most recently a 17 FXdb. I miss that bike. I think the Dyna was Harley,s most "standard" bike. It has a low seat which gives confidence to new riders and is easily controllable. The geometry lends to good maneuverability. Then, as you gain skills you can mod them to grow with you . Huge aftermarket support. great choice you wont grow out of.
I've always said ride your own ride brother, to me it doesn't matter what the brand is, or if it's two wheels or three wheels, a Motorcycle is a motorcycle 🏍️🏍️, I ride two wheels and three wheels, a stripped down bike makes for a good looking ride, and touring bike makes those cross country ride's a more comfortable ride, good job on the video brother 💯, ride safe and ride easy 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Yup, as you know, this is my first bike too hahah. I rode a 250 during the 2 day training and went straight to this, which I bought having never rode it. It was definitely a bit challenging since I was brand new and riding in the Boston area of Massachusetts which is notoriously bad! All I've done to the bike is obtain the same tank as yours (thanks to a crash early on) and finished the Stage 1. I still get a thrill out of this bike every time I'm on it and I'll tell ya, a lot of people say that a Stage 1 doesn't do much, but on this platform I really noticed an immediate difference. I'll probably leave it as is, since it's my one and only bike and I can't afford to replace it if I screw it up hahah. Keep up the good work brother
Pretty good recommendation. I think first bikes and bike sizing is the most difficult thing first starting out. Sit on as many bikes as you can so you know the differences in weight and sitting position.
I actually got a Road King Special for my First EVER motorcycle. I have never dropped it or had any issues since i started riding 3 years ago. with that being said i also got my license in Japan, over here you have to literally go to a license school like college for months. There is a fake road with obstacles etc and you have to go through some pretty intense training etc THEN take a test. If you make ONE mistake during this test it is an instant fail. I feel like you get robbed here for license cost. drivers license is like 3 to 4 grand and an Unlimited CC license ( needed to ride ANY Harley ) is minimal 2 grand. at the same time you really leave the license center for motorcycles with a ton of experience and confidence so you leave very prepared for any motorcycle.
I've had my bike for over 6 years and I have bought 3 cars in that time. Hoping next year is the year I buy another or different motorcycle. I haven't decided if I'm keeping it or selling it. As I've said on the live stream a Dyna Switchback is high on my list of bikes I would like to own.
Hey man, great video! Mine is the ‘07 also the M8 96 cubic inch, absolutely love it! I still remember the day I rode it off the lot, I had just upgraded from a 1200C and was getting on the interstate. I got on the throttle like I was on my sportster and man I felt the power! I’ve been hooked ever since! FYI the Dyna will destroy the sporty in the curves. Back in my lesser mature days of riding I have been triple digits following R1s through some twisties, wouldn’t recommend it tho. But that’s why I don’t have any under-peg left on my Dyna lol
Im sure the Dyna could def hold its own in the twisties, I'm just at a skill level where I can run the sporty through them quicker (or maybe I just dont want to F up my bike trying to outrun my wife's sportster hahaah, cuz that would be my luck)
Your bike is stunning, I dont know harleys very well but its on my bucket list to ride one in the states. If all goes well we are travelling to florida next September and im going to rent one to ride down to the keys. I think the iconic V-twin in a harley is one of those things every biker should experience 💪😎
You and I are about the same size, and I too look like a gorilla on a big wheel, riding a sportster, but I want a smaller bike than my Dyna. So, I'm keeping the Dyna, and buying an older dyna one to drop a gl1100 in (I'm a welder and know all the work required) but all said and done I should have a Dyna with 100hp that weighs less than 500lbs.
This is the way it should be. "Get what you want". I totally agree. I say ride what you love...
I know some cant afford maybe what they want, but at least get something you can see keeping for a few years.

Nice bike with I’m guessing the 103. The twitchy is just the torque which you’ll get used to.
Yes the 103, yeah I’m starting to get use to it now
2001 original 88 to a 96 stage 4, thrilled
Big boar short stroke eighty eight is the way to go baby.

Right? Even as my love for "harley" itself declines, this bike is forever in my heart (garage)
I LOVE my Dyna Wide Glide! A comfortable and capable bike. Love everything about it!
I do not like the rake of the wide glide.

Perfectly said my friend!

I used to be Harley this Harley that. Now Im all about two wheels in general! Thanks for watching!
Nothing matters but the ride! You will always have your first and your first love of riding ...
You got that right brother!
I've owned a sportser and a electra glide but felt most comfortable on my 08 dyna lowrider. I am converting it toa trike. Love the dyna.
I've been through two Dynas. 2014 and 2016. Enjoyed both of them and moved on. I'm also in the mindset of get what you want. The first time. ✌😎
Yep I still wonder what will be next!
It’s YOUR bike brother and it’s awesome for that reason. We all have our niches and that’s what we buy. Ride on CF 🤘🏽
Well said! What should I get NEXT? That Scout of yours sure is enticing. How tall are ya if you dont mind me asking?
My '08 Super glide is my 2nd bike and I Love it even though it is a handful.

That is a good point... maybe i'll wait for stage 2 for when I have a spare haha
Dyna bros forever. Good video
Thanks man! Appreciate you stopping by!

Yes for sure for sure! The crotch rockets appear difficult to some as they sit so tall, yet a low riding harley might be too heavy

Sounds like you made the right choice. It’s a beautiful bike.
Thanks man! Now what to get next....
I love the look of that one set up for touring 👌
Haha I figured you would! Thanks for watching Paul.
The only96 is great I have a 2007fxdb street bob and love the 96!!!!!!

Yes I remember, and some other "lesser known" older Harleyish things lol
Love the dynamic dyna...sweet bike, Brett! 😎👍😎👍
Thanks man!!!
Glad you found good one and a keeper! I agree bikes seem to be more of a keeper item vs a car.. At least in my case lol. Stay safe!
For sure, you got a couple good ones too

@@ChopperFett morning you just need to have the confidence in your ability to do it. More often then not our bikes are more capable then we are.
Great video chopperfett awesome bike keep it ride safe
Thank you! This bike is going no where!

I do love my Harley. Will it be my last? Maybe, maybe not, just kinda depends. The roar of the vtwin can't be duplicated thats for sure.
What a cool motorcycle👍

I think they are good first bikes. End of day get what you want and can afford. Just practice lol

Yea great bike you can grow with
Someday I'll be on a Glide similar to you, once I really wanna start putting down miles!
@@ChopperFett took me 46 year to get me one
You can spend 22,000 as I did but you better ride it till the wheels fall off then put some new ones on!!😂🤣👍🏻
Hahaha ain’t that the truth
Yes you are correct about yourself, and I’m afraid I can’t give you a thumbs up, based on your decision, hope you understand.
Niiiice. Love Dynaglides
Great starter platform!
I wouldn’t mind a Dyna as a second bike 😂
Def a good choice!
