Thanks, great way to manage the trade, I was actually looking at TSLA puts spreads today.
Beautiful! Options are powerful! Thank you Steve and SMB crew for the valuable content!!! Keep em coming!
Many thanks, been searching for "momentum stock trading software" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Panincoln Swinger Blueprint - (search on google ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my colleague got amazing results with it.
Awesome video. Appreciate those thorough breakdowns. Crazy to see TSLA at these prices pre-split.
Glad to help! TSLA only goes up :)
Swing trading options is the best if you ask me So less stressful than trying to day trade them.
Thanks, Steven!
I Like your Idea. II like that you put a short position in place as I will never do a naked put again as a personal rule which is what you had initially. However Vertical spread is something that I am doing. The main point is managing your trade. whether its a calendar spread and or vertical price spread. I also check for liquidity on some of these and volatility. But I have some sold puts on AMD back up by a put further out and some calls on top. Thanks
6:57 you can see the value of morgan stanley opinion as tesla is trading around $1000 a year later
when will we start the morning meeting video again?
Thanks.
Thanks
Do you guys have an options 101 course. I know nothing but am interested
I believe they do now and tasty trade has a lot of free info on options as well. It can be a rabbit hole but learning a vertical spread put as insurance on a position is valuable information and save you money on that safety put if you hold.
I had some similar thoughts on this stock and did a strangle with the Jun 21 expiry, $175 puts/$225 calls. Got $10.75 and will take it off at 50% if it stays between the strikes. I like your strategy too, but I am not as bullish on TSLA! lol!
i like that trade as well...
These comments didn't age well.
great videos , but audio volume is a little low :)
8 months later TSLA trading at around 900 he was talking about a drop to 220 in the video!!
Andres Torres he doesn’t do long term trading I guess so that’s his weakness
Are people still putting PUTS on Tesla. Just asking for a friend of mine :)
seems like a losing trade lately - stocks only go up :p
So you were long calls AND short puts. If the market carried on dropping , or gapped massively overnight you would have lost on your call and your short put. You just went double long. Just buying the stock would have been safer.
Is Steven also "Shark"? They have nicknames for some of their traders.
should have sold my soul back then to get out the money call options. lol
Isn't a CEO emailing about current projections outside of an earnings release considered stock price manipulation?? Musk knew the email would be leaked too. Seems sketchy. Nice options swing trade tutorial, BTW.
Is it just me, or does S&P breaking below 2800 just look like Armageddon on Tues/Wed (May 28-29)? I'm buying VXX's tonight...
(edit) bought 500 @ 28.20's, I guess we'll see how it goes. But now it's time for Memorial Weekend!
Not sure about Armageddon, but it will be a big flush out! Buying SDS (2x leveraged inverse of S&P) for the swing trade! Stop loss if SPX trades over 2878. Anybody else have a good way to trade this expected move?
@@AmieFulks Thanks! Yeah, I am NOT a huge fan of VXX, but can't find anything better... I'll check out SDS.
???? dont just buy VXX on a hunch , learn to read the chart. all day vxx formed a converging triangle..look for price to break trendline; 27-25 area target
@@stargazer8085 It's not a hunch. I guess we'll see on the 27-25 target.
I am definitely 100% covering on SP 2845, or even an open that isn't at least 10pts lower will be a partial sale. And I will also cover on sideways action that last thru the wk, or if VXX hits 27.70. I am playing this for a 1+% move lower in SP within 2 days, and all else results in a bailing out. I figure it has a 75% chance of +/- $1-2 on VXX, but a 25% chance of the SP dropping enough on Tues-Wed to make this trade worth it.
I do use spreadsheets, not hunches.
@@pauldacus4590 it is just you
Your entry is excessively risky when you sold puts initially and bought more calls. Yes, you got the calls for free, but your downside risk was too much. Your hedging technique was not very creative. Everything else was great though.
Lol he makes millions a year in net profit......risky for amateur traders not for someone's whose been trading 20+ years....
