    The problem begins when we start referring to the events that happened in this period of time as "ancient history".

    Mr. Allison fails to acknowledge a) DCI McCone had predicted the placement of MRBMs in Cuba , b) The U2 photos came after a significant gap in collection and, c) Kennedy's blockade etc. was not just a strange concoction but a was based, in large part, on McCone's advice to begin with a naval blockade. While it is understood President Kennedy was the executive, it must be elucidated that McCone was brilliant in his analysis and advice to the president.
