AMAZING EMMANUEL THANKS A MILLION
I’m following these tutorials just on a flight from DUB to DXB, I absolutely love your vids Emmanuel, will be looking forward to the ebook. Keep up the awesome work! Loving the 300ER so far, your vids do help as am not lost 😂
All the best from Ireland mate!
Thank you very much mate!
Great, done! Waiting for your next 👨✈
Excellent as usual
Thanks for your tutorials! Really helpful!
What happened to the OMDB Event live stream yesterday. I started to watch it from the beginning while it was online for quite some time already and then it abruptly stopped :(
The sim decided to crash to desktop - three times. After that I decided there's no sense to continue.
@@A330Driver oh sorry to hear that! Sometimes it is one of those days..
@@marty2704 yep, seems like it. I think I found the issue though, with a bit of luck I'll be able to do a stream tomorrow.
@@A330Driver great! What was the issue?
Thank you very much for these tutorials, they are really very helpful
You're welcome!
Great information
Is the trick were you switch from auto to 1000 to auto again something you do when flying on the line with the a330
We do the same on the A330, yes
Do we have to set up the throttles and/or flaps? I had full throttle on at London Heathrow and struggled to get up to 160knts, before running out of runway. Something not right, here???
This is great, but I have a question about the "little gotcha" you mentioned around 18:36, why is it better to set the air-speed in Mach instead of IAS in the 777? I've flown the 767-300 and I was told it's better to use the IAS on it.
Keeps you from overspeeding
Good manual !
Very helpful
The climb is where I struggled when I took off in the 777, the plane’s throttle would immediately go back to idle and the A/T wouldn’t do its part in maintaining climbing speed, do you have a tutorial for that because I think I clicked something yesterday during the setup process before I pushback from the gate last night. I spent like 15 mins trying to get it to operate normal like how the 737 could absolutely climb like a beauty and there A/T worked like a champ, so if you can, please let me know if there’s a tutorial on throttle controls or at least using the autopilot properly that can get my bird to fly as good as the 737 when it came to taking off and climbing
Does your joystick maybe send out some noise that overwrites A/T?
i have massive problems with the tca thrustmaster Airbus, freezing reverser und parkingbrake issues, any sugguestions?
Best to contact customer support either through the forums or support.pmdg.com.
May I know that 5:40, is the Tacs don’t know my alt setting ?
TCAS ignores selected altitudes. What if, for whatever reason, the pilot does not level off at them? Warning time for a potential collision would become minimal.
Will the 777 calculate step climbs based in optimum FL or recommended FL?
Flew the 777 in P3D v4 and now back at it again.
Awesome tutorials
it uses recommended FL, because optimum FL will not take the forecasted wind in account. It will also only calculate step CLIMBS and no step descents, even if a descent would be preferred for better wind.
Unfortunately it uses the OPT level and not RECMD. That's a rather significant limitation in the FMC and actually is the reason why some airlines do not use the calculated step climbs at all, but simply overwrite them completly with the step climbs from their flight plan.
@@A330Driver 777 FCOM quotes „The FMC calculates step climb locations and altitudes as a function of lateral flight plan, current cruise speed mode and altitude, entered forecast winds and temperatures, step size, cruise cg, and gross weight.„
OPT Alt calculation does not use temperatures, IRS wind or forecast wind. So the calculation of FMC planned step climbs should not solely be based on OPT Alt.
Question for you Emanuel; so om descent when I'm approaching FL100, I slow down with speed brakes but the auto throttle doesn't idle instead it increases thrust and I have to manually idle the aircraft. If I don't it keeps throttling up. Is it something I'm setting up wrong? Or is it a bug? Or is there something else I have to set up in vnav for the 777?
If you're approaching the target speed quickly, A/T will try to counteract that. Welcome to the wonderful world of Boeings. In the real world you'd simply block thrust lever movement with your hand to force it to stay in IDLE: In the sim you can usually do that by holding the F1 key.
@@A330Driver wow this is a behavior I thought I'd be used to having flown the 737 numerous times. I guess it's part of the FBW system? 🤷🏽♂️ I'll have to manually control speed then thank you
What mode are you descending in? If it’s vnav then the aircraft will go into a shallow descent to reduce airspeed, there shouldn’t be any need to pull the speed brake. By using the speed brake you are working against the auto pilot therefore the auto pilot corrects your input with more thrust.
@kickedinthecalfbyacow7549 it was vnav. I've gotten used to the aircraft behavior and ever since I've never had this issue. It's a big aircraft so there's a lot of momentum on descent.
How to fix max alt limit?
you are doing it wrong if you have a max alt limit that you are trying to exceed
❤❤❤
👍👍👍
How do you change from Vnav Alt to Vnav path
Push the button next to the alt window on the mcp
Did you find an answer to this?
777 has no Alt Intervent button
@@Marc1999th push the altitude selection button
@@kickedinthecalfbyacow7549 there is no such Button. Do you mean FLCh?
