Strange to see movies like CODE: WHITE which I just saw in theatres right next to classics like Kurosawa films. I always appreciated how your compliations conclude in the present day, acknowledging a continuation of the artform rather than strictly invoking nostalgia like almost every other Little Dark Age edit.
That was incredible! It was so much fun recognising some of the Studio Ghibli, live action, and other anime films. But what were the rest called and what Cinéma edit are you going to do? I’m from the UK, so maybe there are some ones that could catch your fancy.
@@ThisFrenchEditor That’s my favourite film too, it was the inspiration for Disney’s Aladdin! But what about the films in this edit, and what do have planned next?
Some of the movies I was able to spot The Dull Sword Katsudo Shashin Ikiru Godzilla Ultraman Yojimbo Animal Treasure Island Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro Godzilla vs Megalon Castle in the Sky AKIRA My Neighbor Totoro Porco Rosso Grave of the Fireflies Princess Mononoke Ringu Jin-Roh Spirited Away The Cat Returns Dragon Ball (don’t know which one) Ponyo Parasyte The Wind Rises Your Name. If Japanese cinema simply looks like samurai, kaiju, anime, and drama over and over with the craziest fever dream you’ve ever witnessed mixed in every once in a while, you’re goddamn right and it’s glorious. Why make mid stuff across tons of genres with a rare hit every now and then (US/UK style) when you can perfect the genres you’re already good at?
The chills, i can't even describe it. Thank you for that
