This is the Native American with the blue shirt on Episode 5. I rarely comment on social media as I don't find much value in its' content. I did though view your critique of Episode 5 , Desert Gold Bloom, and it warrants my comments. The gold recovered panning from the winnowing blanket scene that was shoveled onto the blanket by Dave Turin came directly from vacuumed dry washer concentrates. They did not air that scene of where that material came from. The large gold nugget found bed rock crevicing was found in elevated hillside bed rock where recent winter storms had washed through that gulley and that water flow pressure often cleans gold nuggets of their dirt layers. This is the case of why the nugget was not covered in dirt or mud like a dry washed nugget could be. Pretty much all the nuggets found in this scenario are quite clean in this location. Again, not aired, were the multiple days spent looking for gold and unfortunately due to the short actual airtime the production company can show scenes, much of the prospecting filming was not aired. And, therefore, it looks like finding Gold is easy- which it is not. I am an experienced prospector with many years of success in gold recovery and through my knowledge of geology and biology can find Gold successfully in most situations in a gold bearing region. I hope this helps clarify some of the comments you both made on your channel critique.
Thank you for those clarifications. That helps make sense of the various things that we pointed out. Discovery left out quite a bit of info during that episode then.
It's really crazy how some guys here in az that drywash and leave the place spotless!😂..metal detectors and a simple drywasher with knowledge in geology is key!🤘..wish arizona was available for lidar!🫤
