Did you enjoy learning all about Thunderbird 1 from Brains? Anything you didn't know before? Who's looking forward to episode 2?!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
That was great and really well made! Definitely learned things I didn't know before. Looking forward to the next episode ❤
@@keeskoenen2956 Thanks Kees! More weekly(ish) for the next few weeks!
Gerry Anderson YES! Please do!!!!
Will there be an episode on Tracey island itself?
Best Kids television show ever made - excitement, explosions, the best ships ever designed for any tv show, more explosions, fun dialogue, even more explosions, this was television when shows were made to be remembered half a century after they were made. RIP Gerry Anderson, Best tv show producer ever
Best "Big" Kids television show ever made also. : )
Thunderbirds was the best of Gerry Anderson, and Gerry Anderson was the best creator of kids TV - Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray prior to Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet to follow. Classic.
I prefer to think of the series as
"Family" entertainment.
My mum and I watched it together.
make it a century later
Thunderbirds is one of the greatest shows ever made.
*Change my mind*
Does it need *CHANGING?* 😁😁😁😁
That's a mind that cannot be changed
I'm heartened and delighted that Thunderbirds is still entertaining after 53 years (and counting....). It was "fab" then and it's fab now.
So cool they got David Graham himself to voice Brains for this video.
It's amazing how ahead of it's time this show was, from thunderbird 1 to the Skylon Rocket plane with Sabre engines if it works of course.
Considering the period when this show was produced, I suspect someone was privy to insider knowledge to some black budget programs. TB1's nose cone looks suspiciously like the Oxcart / D21 inlet spike.
Who in there right mind is 'Dissing' this excellent Tech Talk... Come on?! I thought it was brilliant! Thank you to everyone involved :)
Cheers Chris, it was great fun to make, hope you enjoy the rest of the episodes!
Thunderbird 1 was always my favorite Thunderbird
Yeah TB 6 wasn’t my type either. Imagine the intro saying 6 in the beginning instead of 5 if the show continued lol
@Ian Turner Kayo doesn't do rescues, she is an agent.
@@theatragon2163 The Mole is Thunderbird 6 as far as I am concerned.
I'm amazed, when I recall watching this as a kid in the 1960s. I can only think of a couple of other other shows, such as Astro Boy, Star Trek and Doctor Who which have had this kind of longevity and reach. Note that all of these were ground-breaking and imaginative.
I feel kind of sorry for Gerry Anderson, though -- he kept trying to become a mainstream producer, but will always be remembered the most for Thunderbirds. This is easily understood, though, because we started watching his work as kids (I go all the way back to Supercar on 1961 Los Angeles TV) and then moved up to Journey to the Far Side of the Sun, The Protectors, Space: 1999 and UFO because we knew that these would be worth our time to watch.
Keep em coming guys looking forward to the rest!
Dom757200 if they do do more... but I’m sure they will
@@phoebegardiner9819 Loads more to come!
Love the construction hangar shot. Great work. Thank you!
I'm so glad I grew up with these television greats..Thunderbirds..Captain Scarlet..Stingray..etc..as a child these shows where mesmerising and led me to a science fiction path I'm still on today..Alien..Aliens..dune etc..priceless.
This is honestly brilliant! Thunderbird 1 is my favourite TB craft!
Excellent Jamie, one of the best produced Thunderbirds vignettes I’ve ever seen! Thunderbird 1 was always my favourite craft, but can’t wait to see the other craft and vehicles. FAB 1 will be fun, I’m sure!
Thanks Alan! Credit where credit’s due though, the concept and execution down to Andrew Clements!
I can almost guarantee you're going to love FAB 1, Alan!
Let's just say Brains will have some h'assistance for that one ;)
@Ian Turner She may well make a brief appearance 😉😉
Think about it. Brains was one of the first characters with a disability, along with Ironside, portrayed as something other than a victim. The Andersons were always trying to be ahead of the game.
oh man you guys had high hopes for this century. You pioniered scifi so thank you.
It is so comforting to hear Brains giving these Tech Talks. I've recommended these to my youngest brother who is also a Thunderbirds/Gerry Anderson aficionado. Thank you for posting these wonderful videos.
FAB! can't wait for T2
It's a good one!
Brains certainly sounds older and wiser. :)
We think David's doing pretty well for 93!
He sure is!!!
Cool show. Keep 'em coming. Love the digital art in the credits.
TB1 is such a beautiful machine
Being nuclear powered, I'm sure T1 could travel in space. A lovely ship. Jamie, I thank you for carrying on your late father's legacy.
Who’s doing the voice of Brains? Is it David Graham, the original voice actor?
It is indeed :)
@@ACtheLegend Fascinating.
Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant! What a great kick-off to a new series! :)
Plenty more to come!
Good stuff. Looking forward to the rest
Tremendously well produced!
Thank you Nigel :)
yes i am and im so looking forward to ep 2 too!
Awesome!! Love it!
Fantastic, good work
Super Storytelling Brains From Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds The Original Series. X
Thank you Brains! Sorry you had to leave in a hurry.
I always wondered how scott and his equipment go in and out TB1 😁
Brilliant!
More of the same please? FAB!
More on the way!
Brains saying "internation rescue" is soo nostalgic
I love Scott Tracy beautiful realmente beautiful!!!!
Brilliant
looking forward to stingray as well as TB 5
Brilliant.
Thank you were are honored 🤩To be special Agents
No one seemed to notice Encoded Signal Channel TX-204? The TX-204 being the target carrying aircraft seen in Trapped in the Sky and The Mighty Atom, I noticed it as soon as it started. But this is my first time to this channel.
Glad someone picked up on it!
1:04 Scott Tracy Thinks He Looks Like Anakin Skywalker From Star Wars Episode II Attack Of The Clones In 2002. Thanks Mate. X
Metv is airing T birds Sundays at 5 am.
Who did the artwork? It's fantastic
Chris Thompson, search DeviantArt for 'ChrisofEDF'
@@ACtheLegend can do!
As much as I love Thunderbirds it always bugged me, even as a kid that Scott would get into TB1 and then it would move into launch position. OK it looks cool but surely it's quicker, easier and takes less energy to move Scott instead of an entire ship. It makes me think Scott is just lazy and can't be bothered to walk, he doesn't even walk into TB1 the platform carries him.
Scott being lazy is certainly a possibility. We wonder if the launch area had to be moved for some reason, after initial construction - and that's why it happens that way? Or it was just overcomplicated to make the launch more fun and dramatic. Probably the latter ;)
He makes up for it by having to lug the Mobile Control unit out of Thunderbird 1 each time :)
Haha Carwyn, if you think that’s lazy what about the launch sequence for TB3 (my second favourite craft!) - the crew just sit on a sofa and get transported across Tracy Island to the spaceship without walking a step! What a brilliant world Gerry created. And well done to Andrew and Jamie for this awesome new series!
Love the artwork at the end. And great to hear Mr Graham still going strong.
The whole idea of the show was so the puppets didn't have to walk!
To the powers who can make it happen, please do remakes or more movies!
Already been done, Thunderbirds Are Go [2015] ran for 78 episodes and was FAB
15.000 mph... that's Mach 20. Woah.
What about the camera detector and the gadget that can wipe electronic material and thus destroy video tapes?
❤
MORE
Don't worry Colin - lots more coming over the next few weeks and months!
50000 mph eh? Scott would be experiencing -7 G in level flight (approximately 18000 mph is orbital speed at sea level, which would give 0 G in level flight).
Its 15,000 not 50,000 :)
@@ACtheLegend Ah, yes. I was listening with the volume turned down, and the closed caption (at 2:52) says 50,000 mph. Turning the volume up, you're right, Brains clearly said 15,000 mph. At that speed, Scott would experience about +0.3G in level flight (1G from Earth, -0.7G from the near orbital speed), so he'd feel like he was on Mars.
@@svorkoetter ah I see! Will have to get the subtitles amended!
I wonder it's possible to build all the Thunderbirds vehicles in real life? Since we have the technology to make it. I mean, most of our modern-day vehicles do have the same similar function as the Thunderbirds vehicles.
It could be but I don’t think anyone would want to think of the time money and effort and besides where would they keep something that big okay maybe Thunderbird four because it’s just a submarine
@@rainpuppy14 Or at least make a drone version of them.
Subtitles gave maximum speed of 50,000 miles per hour
instead of 15,000
2:45 Fif-TEEN thousand, right? Not 50.000
Yes, Fifteen. Auto-generated subtitles often get things wrong.
Scott is doing his chances of being the oldest kid Scott had to do cool rescue for the rest of his life
SPV is my fave....
It's funny how technology came on so much that everything the mobile control console can do could be done today using a basic tablet.
how do they hide those strings so well?
That has remained a closely guarded secret all these years ;)
Strings, N?
Thunder birds are go....
I got 3 models of Thunderbird 1 plane.
Thunderbirds have an agent in Mt Isa? Dear god why?
90 feet? That can’t be right Michael Bay’s Optimus Prime is 31 feet high and I think Prime and TB1 would be the same height compared to a person
Not putting this in anyway that I don’t love the show but I just feel that measurement can’t be right
Stated on screen as 90 feet, but all the craft varied depending on which model was used to represent them :)
50,000 mph it would probably vaporize at that speed and temperature.
Nope, it's hull is comprised of Cahelium Extract X.
@@ACtheLegend If you have a look at its destination times it probably had a high speed of around 7,000 mph.
@@JohnLee-mq4hk its 15,000, not 50,000 :)
Your'e right. Century 21 did a coffee walk with Brains, and they printed the error up.
@@JohnLee-mq4hk not sure I follow, it said 15,000 in the script, which is what David said.
Date of birth: November 14, 2040
You couldn't find someone that could do an accurate impression of Brains,so you did it yourself badly.FFS !
It's literally the original Brains voice actor, David Graham. Now who's the fool?
Too bad it's not the proper voice
It is the proper voice!
