Welcome to Imphal dear Rocky! Missing Mayur, your veggie counterpart!
He would have loved the Prasad lunch offering which is a purely vegetarian 15 to 17 item thali in various temples of Manipur. The most famous being at Narsingh Temple, Imphal. For you, Non veg usop or lunch at functions like weddings or festivals would have been the ultimate. Although it's limited to fish items.
For the chicken and meat, the tastiest preparations take place during private parties with the dishes cooked over open wood fires.
For the dishes of the hill people, u need to visit their places and enjoy the local delights of various meats, including chicken, beef, pork and dog meat dishes.
The variety is limitless and it needs a strong heart and a strong stomach to digest it all! 🤣
