Tangkhul tribe is the biggest tribe not Thadou, need to rectify the census 2011 ... wrongly collected census.... tangkhul is the most advanced tribe in terms of Western education and tradition culture n yes is the first tribal to recieve Christianity in Manipur when William pettigrew stepped his foot into tangkhul Naga community....the oldest and the first church in Manipur is located at the centre of Ukhrul town Headquarter called PHUNGYO BAPTIST CHURCH ✌️

It is of utmost pride for the Meitei community of Manipur for gifting the game of POLO also known as "Sagol Kangjei"(in traditional form) in local language, to the World. The actual "Sagol Kangjei", traditional form of modern POLO is played riding the PONY and we the Manipuri, specifically the Meitei community have it's relation to the "Marjing", a primordial deity in Meitei mythology, also known as God of horses, POLO, Hockey Sports and War. And the divine creature "Samadon Ayangba" or "Samaton Ayangpa"(in olden days) which is a mythical winged horse created and used by the Marjing, the God of "Sagol Kangjei", the traditional form of modern POLO is the ancestor of present day PONY according to Meitei mythology. PROTECT & SAVE PONY, IT'S ENDANGERED 🙏🙏🙏
And that is an IAS officer who is answering the questions. Rocky is asking the USP and way forward to attract international and domestic tourists, and he is stuck with Polo. Tell me one thing, how many would come to Manipur just for polo.. Very unprepared and less vision on how to promote manipur tourism. Waise bhi, we cant expect out of the box thinking from a atomistic bureaucrat
