Virtually identical to the Prius C. Nice work Igor. The cooling blower speed is duty cycle controlled. Excessively hi HV battery temperature or low cooling rates relative to blower speed and breather temperature (basically cabin temperature) will trip the message. I believe the system will autonomously turn on the AC if breather (blower intake) temperature/HV batt temps exceed threshold. Cheers 👍
Thanks for the feedback Ian , pretty handy to know a little more about this system operation . I’ll ask him about the a/c perhaps turning on next time he comes around for a service 👍 cheers mate
Thank you mate this message just came up on my auris gonna sort it out. 1 1/2 hour job for Toyota lol they are there to charge absolute cash for a bare minimum jobs. Knowledge is the key.
Thank you so much for this video. It’s very helpful. I had the same problem and it just solved as soon watched your video and tried it with my car. Much appreciated you saved me $150. Your my mate
I have a same 2018 auris hybrid same issue i try whats you show and explain. Its perfectly right 👍 after nicely clean same parts. Msg gone. Thank you so much
Every Toyota Hybrid owner should now this. The older types dont even have a filter, so checking the ventilator once in a while is needed, especialy if you transport your dogs in the back.
There is an extra part from Toyota for "dusty environments" which just costs about 15€. And you just clip it onto the air-opening. Advantage: This filter will be dirty at first an you can clip it off an clean it easily. Or you can just vacuumclean it while installed. So the built-in filter never really gets dirty. I would recommend it for every Auris Hybrid! Absolutely worth the money, if it just saves you once from cleaning the inbuild-filter.
Thanks mate. This was really helpful! I had this message for some time. It come and goes for a few days, but hoping now won't come for some longer time of period.
I cleaned the filter on my Toyota Yaris 2018 and it’s one of the hottest day in uk now at first the error didn’t disappear but after few hours it’s gone. I think this is a common problem for Toyota hybrid so if i new from the beginning I would always clean it. Toyota company said if it’s my fault I will have to pay 170 pounds for diagnostic 😂 I suppose it is my fault because it has not been cleaned.
I had my battery warranty extended just 2 months ago at my Toyota dealer. I asked them if they cleaned the filter, they told me yes. I'm gonna check it tomorrow, I bet you those bastards lied to me
Hahaha thanks a lot i did it with my toyota corola 2021 im guessing it was the same with your auris and it did thank you so much, love from france 15 september time 21h14🥰🥰🥰
Check and/or cleaning isn't part of the scheduled maintenance at the dealer... No clue why toyota doesn't update the service manual to check the filter every year and also suggest the filter that connects outside. I also have the Auris TS HSD and bought the G92DH-12010 filter. Even with that I'll check the inside filter every 2 years (personal car no need to check every year).
How's she goin'? That was an easy fix eh!!! Cool. I have been looking into hybrid vehicles. I'm not a fan of electric vehicles for a lot of reasons, but the non-plug-in hybrid vehicles seem to be a good compromise and the prices don't seem to be too bad either. Thanks for sharing this and take care!!!
Hiya Mike !!! Clever cars these Hybrids aren't they ?... Super easy fix in the end I was happy to learn this one which will become part of my service. We all are going to have to switch at some point specially with the fuel prices😲... Thanks for watching Pal 👍
I have already cleened the filter, but the message dont desapered. WTF Auris 2017 hybrid. For 1 day it wwas desapired, but now its giving message "Hybrid Maintenance required for hybrid battery cooling parts at your dealer" Can u tell me what i need to do?

anyone knows where is the battery fan air intake? Is it taking the air trough the same hole where it blows out or is it somewhere in the boot?
What about cooling system fan? Does anyone consider that?

It's about right for in town drive consumption, motorway drive should do a little better around 45mpg
@@CarsExposed yeah i know in motorway its down to 4 - 4.5 liters. But is it normal in town 8 liters ?
@@berkedeniz5625 In my calculations you are getting about 35mpg in town , anything between 35mpg and 38mpg I would consider normal
