Today at Badgerworks, while painting a miniature, I found myself in need of a specific wash that I didn't have, so I used a method I learned from Luke over at @GeekGamingScenics to make the very thing I needed...

I watched this via Patreon on my phone and I've just watched it cast to my TV. The detail really shows up well on the TV.
I'm glad to hear it. It's shot in 1080p so it should work on TV. I'm actually surprised how many people watch youtube on TV, but it's pretty much replaced traditional TV for a lot of people.
@@SteamGeezerUK I watch all my UA-cam channels on TV. Much better than on my phone, which is a decent one. Look forward to your next. Maybe you could do a short one of all the "Stop laughing at the back" moments.
I can’t wait to watch this tutorial
I hope you enjoy it ;-)
Ladels and Jellyspoons... Best intro ever
Many thanks TCB
Thanks for watching ;-)
“Stop laughing at the back” 😂😂
Looks really good can’t wait for the next episode.
Thanks, I appreciate it :-)
Nice!
Thanks :-)
Ink is superb stuff, I have pre mixed bottles of medium and water and actually "paint" with it over a zenithal undercoat. Unfortunately there is no standard mix ratio as each in has a different colour density.
Very true. Off camera I made another pot using burnt umber ink and I had to put about ten times the amount of ink in that one.
get some dropper bottles as it saves you then having to use pipettes to get the stuff onto a pallette or the airbrush.
Yes, but then I have to wash them out, and I'm lazy like that, as you well know :-)
@@SteamGeezerUK dont wash them out just reuse them and put more of the same wash into them
Have you tried Fiebling's Leather Dye, Black, to make a dark grey stain/wash. Mix 30ml of dye with 473ml of Isopropyl Alcohol. Mkes a fab grey stain. Try it out, if you can, and see how you get on. Mike
I have some of that (I do a fair bit of leatherwork too). I might just give that a go, cheers.
Matt medium: check
Deionised water: check
Dish water: check
......
Hey, you can't change ingredients like that!
Shush, you... :-)
If I need to repaint it, I can use model remover. Is it possible to wash away the paint that was applied?
I'm very sorry, but I'm not sure I understand the question. If you're asking if it's possible to remove the wash once it's dried, I'd say probably not, although you might be able to with isopropyl alcohol, but you then might remove the layers underneath as well.
@@SteamGeezerUK You got it right. Yes, I mean remove all the paint from the model including the wash. Sorry for my strange language. I can read but can't compose English sentences. So I have to use Google to help communicate with you.
A bit late to the party but thank you.
