How exactly do you animate your ragdolls? Do you use any external programs or do you use the camera tool and stop motion?

@@DS-bk7nb Funny enough, It's possible that GunSlingerPro2009 could exist in BadwaterVideos2009's universe as he made his account in 2009, which is the year that BadwaterVideos2009 started uploading his videos.
Sooo, the Blu Soldier that was meant to become a major character ended up mutilated by the experiment that was supposed to turn him into said major character. Badwater deleted the soldier, canceling that intended plot line for the video. Interesting

I think that badwater try to mechanize the soldier (possibly an in-character thing with Dr.Metalhead), badwater is experimenting with him, probably cutting off limbs and try to attach metal part on. Obviously that didn't work and being sentiet means he suffer immensed pain

something to note: he says that he doesn't know who gunslinger is, but in a later question badwater mentions a ragdoll walker tutorial on youtube, which is coincidentally a video by gunslinger. might just be a coincidence but its still interesting
I think it's just a little funny reference to gunslinger. Also there are a lot of tutorials on how to do it, it was common use on old GMod videos!
Many others made the ragdoll walker way before him. It was probably one of the first things GMOD machinima makers figured out.

The clip of the Blu Soldier crawling on the the floor in agony before being deleted, with the clip ending in "Answer: A failure." seems so cruel, yet still so ominous as we don't know as to what had happened that would lead to THAT.
Maybe the failure was that the mutilation didn’t work.
Bringing someone back to life, even as a god, is no simple task.

I was not expecting the legless soldier. It's honestly amazing how in character he was in this. I thought the Melon Man episode was cancelled because of actual real life issues separate from the ARG. Really impressive.

Quick theory:the footage of the cut in half soldier dragging himself on the floor and getting deleted was NOT put in the video by badwater himself rather that the entity that saved scout in the video where we see the aftermath of the broken tv video where he was "deleted" and then reappeared in passage interrupted badwaters recording to warn the viewer of badwater and the horrible shit hes done to other ragdolls
further proof being that badwater would NEVER leak the fact that the ragdolls are alive because that would ruin the magic of the machinimas

i think that what actually happend is that whatever badwater was trying to create whit soldier didnt work, he probably try to create a hald machine half tf2 character like melonman and dr. metalhead and fail
I believe he was trying to create a living ragdoll, like melon man, red scout, and heavy. I think in the lore badwater realised what he could do with the living ragdolls in the broken tv, and decided to force the ragdolls to do the things he wanted them to do.
I think the soldier just didnt comply with Badwater, instead of becoming a "new character", he attempted to escape. I personally dont think Badwater was trying to create his own alive ragdolls, its just that this ragdoll failed to meet his demands.

interesting note: they say left 4 dead 2 is being released “two months from now” which means the channel is somehow taking place in 2009 and responding to comments 12 years from then, meaning the date of the video is September 17th 2009 maybe?
well he was talking about how the map "Nucleus" was 'recently released'. Which was released in august of 2009. so safe to say they still live in 2009

according to gunslingerpro's 4th video title, his videos take place in 2010. badwater's takes place in 2009, so him saying he doesnt know who gunslingerpro is at 1:15 makes sense.

Like everyone said, L4D2 came out in 2009, which is why he expresses his enthusiasm for the release.
He uses gender neutral pronouns for the Teethineer, possibly hinting that they are genderless.
The grammar is quite good, which means that this is a smart child or adult of average intelligence.
He says "Melonman and friends," possibly hinting at new secondary characters that are allies to Melonman.
I noticed someone else say that the characters are legitimately mutilated to create these characters like Melonman and Doctor Metalhead. This may become a major plot point.

Interesting detail, we know from the video that this was published in september of 2009, and the only date we know a gunslingerpro video was recorded was in 2010. Perhaps Badwater doesn't know who Gunslingerpro is because he hadn't published any videos yet?

God there are so many touches to this series. I love he said he's excited for left for dead 2 coming out in 2 month and yet still has that uncanny vibe to them. It feels so grounded and so good!.

I like how he interacts with the community and has some videos fail, makes it more realistic and fun for us to influence videos.
holy shit he managed to do a Q&A while also staying in his own universe and giving us clues for the next parts of the story such as the 2 months before L4D2 which released in I think november 2009 which is september 2009 so we know these videos are not someone finding these videos and revealing them in the present (like other ARGs). So we have to pretend that we're in 2009. Also a good thing to know about these ARGs is who the player is or how old they are and I believe that Badwater, the player is around 14-17 years old because he has little to no mistakes in his text, he's played games such as TF2, Portal and L4D2 which are pretty mature games and typically teenagers play them and the whole melonman story just seems like something a teenager would do in 2009.
imagine if someone makes an arg where instead of the player being the enemy, the player and ragdolls just both get along and have fun making films together.

The creepy thing here about *Soldier* is that he was mutilated, and he tried to get away (shown in the video) he gets deleted.
I think that Badwater removed him as he noticed the mutilation is a failure ("Answer: a failure.") and keeping Soldier alive makes no sense. Or maybe Badwater simply got bored of tormenting him. Who knows
Ok, so here's what we have learned in this video given BW's (BadwaterVideos2009) answers:
His Favorite Class is the Spy.
He Likes Bad Water because the owner enjoys payload maps and thinks that Bad Water is well designed. (However, he doesn't like the area that's around the third point. I wonder why).
Other than Badwater, he also enjoys Nucleus too.
Aside from TF2, BW also plays Portal and Left 4 Dead. He is currently looking forward to L4D2.
The owner was inspired by Dasboschitt (Creator of The GMOD Idiot Box) to make his own machinimas.
BW uses Sony Vegas Pro 9 to edit his videos.
GunSlingerPro2009 might exist in BadwaterVideos2009 universe, but he hasn't heard of him (Which makes sense as GunSlingerPro2009 was making videos in 2010).
Teethineer is basically fucking Kirby. He's able to eat basically anything. But he is blind as a bat, so he sees via echolocation.
Dr. MetalHead is the MelonMan's arch-enemy. And that he created Teethineer to be his henchmen.
Imagine a BW2009 and a GS2009 collab, or maybe they could fight.
but if GP2009 started in 2010 and this is a QnA vid, why do ppl are asking about a guy that didnt even started posting yet

He does them in gmod (in universe) and given the quality of the animations I’m lead to assume he is using SFM out of universe
There are tons of gmod machinima tutorials on UA-cam, but some of his videos, namely the ones with red scout like Passage, are made in Source Filmmaker I believe
Stop motion helper is very good, if you don't want to be arsed in using sfm. (At least practicing animation)

Something interesting is that the soldier was walking towards badwater, but the real question is why? Was it an attack out of anger of being mutilated so horrifically? Was it a plea to die out of pain? Was the soldier really dead in mettalhead rises? If so, did badwater bring him back to life and he was now thanking badwater for life? Also, why was the soldier being deleted become such a problem that the video had to be cancelled? Couldn't another soldier be spawned? Or does only one of each sentient ragdoll exist? But if this is so, why did badwater delete the heavy so recklessly in the broken tv video.
I think he wanted to just be deleted out of existence without pain, and well badwater could do that.
I don't think the soldier was dead just a ragdoll that looked dead but wasn't.
Good question, if there were only 1 of each kind that means badwater wouldn't be deleting them like that, that would be a waste especially considering he exploits them for videos, so i think all the ragdolls spawned are alive, BUT (and we enter speculation territory here) maybe badwater knows a way to make them come alive! So he doesn't care about how many die, they are disposable and he can spawn as many as he wants.
As to why the video got delayed, maybe the video got ruined because of that failure and he had to start making the whole video again.
With this video now we know that the ragdolls are conscious of any changes made to them, maybe badwater was in the process of making the new enemy when something went very wrong and the soldier ended up with only half of his body, think how the theetiner felt when badwater changed his whole face!
It is likely that only one sentient ragdoll of each character can exist at once but you can just spawn a non sentient one by just keeping the sentient one on the map. And also by the scout exiting the map but not being deleted probably means that he can no longer use a sentient version of the scout.
Also, maybe in the broken tv video, badwater spawned a scout and made him come alive for some reason (maybe smoother animation?) When the video ended, badwater went to delete them, he deleted the heavy but scout was teletransported out of sawmill for some reason, he ended up in another map where he hides in a white room.

For real, this answer "A failure.", it is terrifying, we don't know what was a failure, what happened to solider, we know nothing behind the scenes, unknowing is scary
the way the soldier moved when he was crawling away makes it all the more disturbing, his movements looked like how Melonman's looked when beating the Teethineer, also the fact this guy stays in character is unsettling to me...maybe he'll make a QnA but out of character, who knows

This arg is nice! When the arg ends, can you make melonman, but high effort? I really like the idea of it.
so from what we have seen (and from some comments) we can actually get some stuff on what is going on and when this takes place.
the series takes in 2009. reason being because he was excited for L4D2 when it came out in 2009.
GunSlingerPro2009 MIGHT exist in badwater's universe, but he doesn't know who he is.
the soldier that was meant to be the next foe melonman would face was deleted, which meant the end for the episode. it's unknown whether badwater did it or the machine that was supposed to turn him into the foe did it.
but considering that he basically forced melonman to ''kill'' teethineer (and my next point) i wouldn't take in consideration that he did that to soldier.
this also brings a point on whether the other creations he made are like this. are melonman and teethineer also living in constant agony?
who knows? we'll have to wait until melonman returns in his next adventure!
Plus gunslinger began to post in 2010 so all the events hasn’t happened yet
Each mercs’ fate so far (over the course of both the gunslinger and badwater channels) seems to fit their personalities somehow.
-Scout is an explorer, so he would fit as the audience pov character.
-Heavy is usually friendly and jovial, so he warns scout to stay still, hoping to reason with whatever’s controlling them.
-Spy is pompous, so he’s mangled to degrade his pride.
-Soldier uses codes to communicate for help.

Notice how his favorite class is the spy. In all of the videos, he's picking on the scout and messing with him. I believe it is because as a spy main, he hates scouts, so he would have the scout be the one targeted.

i dont think so, theres just not really any basis for that and all of the evidence says otherwise. why would he grow into someone with worse production value, spelling and whatnot? if they have any relation to eachother then theyre probably siblings

Alright, so my guess to why the next melonman video was delayed/cancelled was most likely because the blu soldier attempted to escape the player, but was deleted in the process.
He tried to scape the death hole
It just means that, The characters like melonman and teethineer literally go through something that they have a low chance of surviving, i mean look at how much pain blue soldier was in since they were going to be a major character, Now imagine what Melonman and teethineer had to go through

Given as to what we saw "Dr. MetalHead Rises", I wonder what went wrong to have caused that Soldier to look the way he did before he was deleted.
Because the last time we saw him, he was being dipped into a vat of liquid.
I'm thinking the liquid was like some form of acid? And it melted the soldiers legs, and that's why he was crawling with a trail of blood behind him, perhaps Badwater wanted to swap out the soldiers legs with something?
@@crystalcrazeee What could be said is that Badwater mutilates some of the characters to change them up, like Melonman.
