It's such a shame how audiences can be blinded by the 4th wall so easily. Also, it's ironic how comedians such as yourself happen to be the only creators I see who actually give serious messages like this every once in a while. Eg. Lewis Spears, FriendlyJordies, Charles Ross, they all at some point have put on their serious face for disclaimers and underlying issues. Anyways, thanks ScubagDad for trying your best to educate the latest generation despite them despite it not working. My eye is even keener now because of this.

If you want to be truly kind. Donate to a clothing locker/ food pantry. Most churches or goodwill will happily take your donations and don't generally explore those who are in need for clout. Pay attention to the charities that you donate to. Some aren't as noble as others so it's important to research what happens to your donation. If you can't donate, volunteer. Don't let politics and social pressure get in the way either. Many people I've known would never get near church even if they are in the best position to get your donation to the right people. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Suck up your pride and do what works. Also, don't worry if ur not in a position to donate. You have to help yourself before you can help others.

Counterpoint: I'm feeling pretty sad and pathetic myself on a lot of days lately and would be completely fine with being exploited for content if it meant I was getting money or help etc.
I completely agree with what Scumbag is saying but just like assuming someone is pathetic so it's fine to use them for kindness content can be seen as wrong so can assuming people that need help are too proud to be used for kindness content. If you feel like you've been f*cked over and exploited again and again in life then maybe you'd see getting used for kindness content as not so bad because at least you get something out of it and the intentions aren't as sinister as in other situations.
Asking "can I use you for content?' beforehand would kinda ruin genuine responses and people would probably be too proud to admit needing help or wary it's a scam most times if you asked them directly.
Ask yourself the simple question: is pointing out helping people in need for content is being exploitative helping those people more or less than the kindness content creators exploiting them? Not long ago I realised I was watching some content going "look at this asshole helping homeless people just for follows and likes" while I don't actually do anything to help homeless people etc myself.
I don't really like 'kindness content' at all but at least they're doing something to help and pointing out the shortcomings of kindness content doesn't do much.

Filming people in public should be legal
Secretly filming people anywhere should be illegal
    Thoughts?

If he was using his own personally earned money to bless these people maybe I wouldn't have as much of an issue with it because then the kindness seems pretty sincere and genuine, but the fact that he's using their tragedy and suffering to make that money both for them and to advance his own online brand is some kinda exploitative ngl.

I think this content is fine just because people benefit from them. It doesn't really matter if the donaters aren't good people or are doing it for clout because real struggling people are getting help in the end, I believe it overall sends a positive message because most people don't read through the lines anyway. As for Jimmy darts at least I'm pretty sure he lets them know he's recording after because they usually agree to a dance at the end, maybe some of them get inclined to just agree because they got $500 but overall it's not that big of a deal. Like you're on the internet for a bunch of random people to see who will probably forget about you soon after, I don't really think that would affect their life negatively in any way, they got a free $500. In the end it's just a win win no matter the motives because the videos pay for themselves which just enables more videos to be made.

The only thing I would say is that Mdmotivator actually gives kids the chance to meet their favorite athletes whenever they are given tickets which is life changing for them

But the situations aren’t candid. I don’t give a shit if people introduce kids to athletes. I dislike the disingenuous presentation. Why lie to the audience and convince us you just randomly found the kid?

Luckily in Germany we have the right to have the control over any picture taken of us, so somebody filming you without consent would actually be a crime...

Simply put, if you publicize yourself giving charity, your motives are questionable.
