I was down there yesterday with my dog. I fell on my backside several times. Pretty muddy and slippery.

Memories 😊used to go mad adventures at the weekends with my friends down there.
I remember saying to Tommy.. you've left your mark..and he just sort of sighed...and said...aye.
It was Tommy Hawkins who donethose carvings.
He told me so himself .
I came across them as a boy..then I met him down the park.. years later. And he told me how he done it.. with a hammer and chisel.
Should have parked in the football parks down the whins road on top of the old monastry!there's still steps there!go down the trail to the left there's the wee waterfall or not!cave entrance up on the right "don't go in you won't come out!"ha walk round the path to the carvings (Mr H)doon the path to the the golden sands and 10ft tall Lillie's or whatever then round to the "Swing" out over the Clyde in front of Bothwell Castle! Happy days.
