*Demi from Sri Lanka living in Botswana* if you are reading this... a *HUGE* thank you.... you truly are a gem... and a gentleman for helping out Noraly supplying her with petrol and giving her a drink and some food. You sir are a true angel.... from this KIWI in New Zealand. :-)
Wrong, the world is full of indifferent people with the extremes of good and evil that are glaringly obvious as they stand out from the masses that like to "Blend in" like in a herd. Those that are wired to render assistance do so, those that don't will be oblivious to the plight of an individual. Typically they are the ones that drive by whilst those that help will pull over and try to assist. Occasionally you get that one that goes the extra and then more. So Bryan, please think again about that statement of yours, it is only the super woke that use it, in the belief that everyone in the world is good... utter tosh, so where do men and women that murder fit in to your schema? I'd like to know.

Being in a town which becomes low or empty of petrol can become a bad situation quickly. The gentleman with the petrol and food was extremely helpful and caring.
Your kindness in handing out gifts to strangers at Christmas has been returned by that kind gentleman. There are some really kind people, including you Noraly, in this world.
My faith in humanity has been restored. This gentleman is a true legend. He went above and beyond what a normal person would do. I would of done exactly what he did for you, helping others is what life should be about. There’s no need to repay because he knows at some point you will do the same for others. Anyone that’s followed you for more than a few videos has seen your kindness and helping hand towards others. . He’s an excellent judge of character. Best show on the internet! Demi went out of his way to help you. Blessings to Demi and his family, the world needs more caring and compassion and eyes out for those in need! I have huge respect to you sir!
I watch your adventures from the safety of my livingroom armchair. At 64 years of age, my days of wide-ranging motorcycle touring are behind me, but I share the thrill you find in your own travels. Nestled in my right arm is my five-year old granddaughter. Her eyes are wide and sparkling and she delights in seeing the animals you've seen. At five, she claims she wants to follow in your bike treads and roam the earth as you do. Whether she ever does or not, I thank you for the many happy hours you've shared with us. She remembers you in her nightly prayers. I thank you, too, for the kindness and respect with which you engage others along your way. You model the best character for all who watch your videos. To every culture you've encountered, you have been a wonderful ambassador for all humanity. Lastly, you treat us - your online audience - with respect. In the language you use and the explanations you provide, we feel respected and treated with dignity. So, from an American armchair to wherever these words find you...Thank you and safe travels!

More good than bad. It's just that good people don't make good stories on the news so all we here about is the bad to keep us people separated and in constant fear. Sure, there are dangerous places in the world but the media focuses way too much on them.
Demi is now a real rockstar…here comes Noraly and hundreds of thousands of UA-cam viewers right along 🤣. Best ambassador for Sri Lanka and a really nice guy!
The song by Alabama Group, 'Angels among us' came into my mind, there are angels among us that God sent for us in our times of need and troubles, so you've experienced one. Its could be because you are kind to everyone else too. When I think of Uzbekistan children and the dog you rescued in Africa, you are paid for those kind deeds, and many more. Give and it shall be given to you...
This episode reminded me of a trip I made through Ireland in the 1970s, My van broke down and a passing mechanic on a motorcycle stopped to help, he went off, bought the new part, came back and repaired the van, No charge and also took us back to his mothers house, she cooked us a big breakfast. The world is full of nice people.

This episode brought me to tears a few times. From the giraffes and elephant on the side paved road to the Lodge with a lake that u stayed in, soooo close to the Ellies. What a view. But what gives me goosebumps, and tears of joy was that Sri Lankan legend. What a beautiful soul he has. May God bless him immensely throughout his life. Faith in humanity restored. 🙏
You always keep proving in this world of doom and gloom that things are pretty good really. Good people are everywhere. Keep on doing this to us for a very long time. It is wonderful.
The care toward others shown by the driver from Sri Lanka, well ....remarkable. I quite like such a soul as this man. A life of full goodness and decency.
In 1988 my car broke down on that same road as I was driving from Kasane to Francistown. It was dusk and the first car we had seen in over an hour stopped and towed us 250 km to Francistown. People are wonderful there. Just like Demi.
A tent with a view of elephants too! Demi was concerned for possible problems, and came to the rescue. Like most, surprised at your "winging it" and what style of traveling you do Noraly
The power required to overcome aerodynamic drag increases with the cube of speed. Rolling resistance power increases linearly with speed. To increase fuel economy, go slower to substantially decrease aerodynamic drag, and raise tire pressure to slightly reduce rolling resistance.
The power required to overcome aerodynamic drag increases with the speed squared D=Cd × (Rho × V^2)/2 × A, in which Rho = density, A=frontal area, Cd=coefficient of drag, V=velocity, D=Drag. I agree with rest of your comment.
@@henri.witteveen Aerodynamic drag force is proportional to the square of velocity. Power is force times velocity. So power is proportional to V^2 * V which is V^3.
Run the highest gear you can, without the engine labouring and light throttle and stay on tarmac roads. Off roading will substantially increase fuel consumption.
@@henri.witteveen Correct.....but in any case she was comparing apples with lemons. While driving on tarmac she uses the sixth gear. On dirt she uses lower gears.
Yes, Demi from Sri Lanka came to the rescue, with humble humanity. But even more impressive was the drive of Noraly to just go on, the long empty road, elephants roaming, no place to sleep, just giggling about her completely impossible situation. In the absolute acceptance of the situation and simply believing that it would work out OK. No panic but hardly sarcastic remarks and giggles. Hoping to do the impossible or somehow run into some other solution. Are we amazed that she did it again? Hardly, despite the odds.
I have been following you since u left India. I am a Sri Lankan too and proud to b one. That gent as you say is a true legend. That is Sri Lankan hospitality for you. You are most welcome to ride in Sri Lanka. Stay safe and ride hard.
Its great when folks chip in like that, so glad an answer was there for you, when you needed it. A friendly guy too. I've known a couple of folks from Sri Lanka, and they were just as friendly as he was. Fingers crossed for you Noraly, as ever :)
Your adventures renews my faith in the goodness of humanity all of the time. Thank you Mr. Demi for taking such good care of Noraly and Savannah. I'm from Bellingham, WA, USA and am sharing this episode with everyone. You are an angel. I was very worried once Mr. Demi drove away that a curious elephant would want to investigate Noraly and her bike. Good thing she kept moving!
It's good to see the kindness of people who go out of their way(knight in shining armour) to rescue a damsel in distress. So glad you arrived in Kasane safely!
Agreed. My wife and I were helped by a good samaratin Frenchman in Paris and another good samaratin Chinese lady in Shanghai, when we were abroad in 2009. The memories of the kindnesses of strangers remain close to the surface in my mind; I don't know why that is the case, but when I think of them it warms my heart.
What an amazing man to help you out. It put a lump in my throat, and brought a tear to my eye. I hope you gave him your youtube channel, so that he could join us here and see how we all appreciate his kindness.
This episode is dedicated to Demi. For restoring hope in humanity

Wow, Demi is a good samaritan, im so happy for what he has done, i wish to meet him one day in Botswana
@@jptrainor You're right
Yes, Demi from Sri Lanka came to the rescue, with humble humanity.
So kind, Demi, what a gentleman.
Your smile and attitude brings out the best in people!!
15:13 nice to hear my country name in your blog. Srilankans are always good and nice with people.

May god bless his soul
Its people like that restores my faith in humanity fantastic !!!
Its great when folks chip in like that, so glad an answer was there for you, when you needed it. A friendly guy too. I've known a couple of folks from Sri Lanka, and they were just as friendly as he was. Fingers crossed for you Noraly, as ever :)
what a great guy, when you"re good to people God will bless with more in tough time /unexpectedly.............you're really blessed Noraly
It's good and satisfying to see the world (Africa) is still rich of people like him.
Wow what a nice man, as someone else said, he has renewed my faith in humanity. So very sweet.
Demi is the definition of a gentleman......Thanks, Demi!
You aways find nice and kind people everywhere. There is still hope in this world :)
Sadly, not all parts is that true. eg. Afghanistan now!
It's good to see the kindness of people who go out of their way(knight in shining armour) to rescue a damsel in distress. So glad you arrived in Kasane safely!
That awesome man is the living proof that GOODNESS and KINDNESS has no skin color, nationality or belief system. It just IS.

💚❤
What a beautiful kind gesture. You are always kind and polite to people. Repaid in a lovely way.
What an amazing man to help you out. It put a lump in my throat, and brought a tear to my eye. I hope you gave him your youtube channel, so that he could join us here and see how we all appreciate his kindness.
What an awesome chap Demi is to get petrol to you in the middle of no where!
