Garth Ennis and the Punisher, goes together like pizza and beer.

Great video guys, and what an awesomely brutal issue. All the Punisher stuff Ennis did is amazing; with the MK stuff being set in the “MU” it was super fun to see how far Ennis could push the limits of “superhero” comics (a genre he mostly despises) and that run is very in line with this issue, just uncomfortable and hilarious shit happening all the time. But when the Punisher MAX series began and they let Ennis take the character out of proper continuity and out of the Marvel Universe, it became a whole new thing. A way to examine what the Punisher would be like if he really existed in our world, and getting his revenge on all the sick fucks that actually do exist across the globe. Just a super engaging and satisfying read, every issue, with great rotating artists. Then you’ve got his Vietnam backstory runs which don’t disappoint either. I’m so glad he kept bringing Goran Parlov back, that guy’s art is really legit (especially for you Toth fans). All worth a deeper dive for sure if you guys enjoyed this story!

Also my favourite Joe Quesada comic. Dynamite form-play. So clear with the fixed camera storytelling, and threatening body language. Eisner indeed, reminds me of pages in “Last Day in Vietnam”.

Just discovered your guy's channel and I'm hooked. I feel like I've been in Kayfabe comic school the last few weeks.
    Keep up the great work!

Quesada is one of my favorite artists from the 90's. It seems he is under-rated, and more remembered as EIC at Marvel. This was the last period of great books from Marvel. I'm going to see these images in my head next time I'm at the dentist. LOL

I had never heard of this series! Apparently #2 has Ted McKeever doing Man-Thing - sounds like it would be worth a look.

Guys, how can I focus on this comic with that amazing Geoff Darrow Red Room art in the background?

Can you do a review on indusverse comics from India. They have just launched this year. I was thinking of buying. Would love to know what you guys think.

A ton of great comics came out of the MK line.

Yes, _do_ talk about Rob Haynes' deceptively simple art.

I loved this era of Marvel Knights. I still have a whole ton of these comics.

This story is rad. I’ve shown a number of people this short story and it’s always fun to hear their reactions.

I'd love to see you guys look at some of Marvel's MAX stuff in relation to the whole end of the 90s/early 2000s edgey period. That line had some amazing highs (Punisher MAX) and lows (Cage MAX).

Picked this up back in the day... Made me uncomfortable, in a "good" way. Keep it up. Fun stuff.

Joe's art style reminded me of the xtian Crusaders comics for some reason?

That was amazing. I'm surprised I didn't have this back in the day. Always loved Quesada's stuff. Wish we had way more Quesada art and creator-owned comics.
