I realized watching this how rare it is to see a yellow car anymore. Good thing about this one, though it represents every shade of yellow ever available by any manufacturer on one car. Enjoying the progress
@Matt Ross well the 50 Shades of Yellow comments were being over done. But there's Ferrari Fly Yellow, Lamborghini Giallo Clarus, GM Butternut yellow, Ford Screaming Yellow, Dodge Curious Yellow I could go on. But the one yellow not represented is Porsche Speed Yellow.
I noticed that you had the quick jacks with the safety bar on the inside of the car. Always make sure that safety bar/lock is on the outside. You don’t want to be reaching through when you have to unlock them. I used to not notice but then realized it’s a bad idea to use them like that. Not sure if you knew.
Darn, someone else commented that before and I totally forgot they were supposed to go a certain way. Don't judge because the next video is already filmed and I didn't turn them around yet lol.
Matt, you're doing an awesome job! You will eventually enjoy the fruits of your labor. Love the progress and remember this, this is your build and your car. You have established a loyal fan base that may question your choices, but in the end, we love your channel. Now back to work!
When you do spark plugs I recommend ngk plugs. If you have an exhaust and tune or more go 1 step cooler for the plugs. Ngk 4853 I believe would be the right plug. And update the coils to the newest version.
You can hammer in a m10 or m12 triple square (can't remember which) into the turbo drain plug and it'll grab (soft aluminum) and you can remove it. Then just replace with new plugs. Had this same thing exact issue a couple months ago
Hey Matt, I’ve been using an OptiMate 7 battery charger/tender/AGM Rebuilder for a few seasons. Might be worth looking into to ensure proper system voltage. Here in the Mid-West (and not having a cooled or heated garage) with it getting so cold, this tender is able to modify amperage output based on temperature. Comes with quick disconnect leads you’d use on say a motorcycle, lawn mower, utv etc.
Mobil 1 0w40 European formula is a good oil option. But I highly recommend getting the oil change kit from fcpeuro next time. Liquimoly oil, mahle filter, 2 orings, and the crush washers are included. All for $100.
@Matt Ross I did the mobil 1 0w40 and napa gold filter my first time. Then I found out about fcpeuro and I have been going to them ever since. Best part is that they will replace the oil change kit for free. You simply pay shipping costs to send back the old oil, filter, orings, and washers and they send you new stuff for free. I'm running the 5w40 liquimoly in my car now. It helps quiet it down compared to the mobil 1 0w40
