It just goes to show that the music from the 1950s to the 1980s (music of my generation) is the best of the best. A good example of this is John Parr singing “St. Elmo’s Fire”. I’m glad DiscoCat grabbed ahold of this song and gave it some serious refreshment. It’s so good.

I am a 1990s baby, and I am excited that I grew up with my dad's influence on music I only listen to the 70s and 80s music. Something he taught me ( I am autistic and he helped me learn through a special technique) that music is universal. You feel it too. So my dad, taught me the ways of love - not just with music. He taught me that beautiful people come in a variety and to never judge. He taught me a lot of things. But daddy passed away 2 years ago. So I appreciate his teachings and music
This song should have had an extended remix back in it's day. I had imagined Francois Kevorkian having done the honors. I believe I saw a movie based on Terry Fox in the 80s. His friend with a van tagged along to provide a place for him to sleep during the night. The vocal sounds different, not too different but I think I notice some differences.
This reminds me of high school so much... OMG. Graduated in 86, I remember driving around with this song on in driver's education in 1985...our instructor let us listen at a reasonable volume...he liked the music too. Oh man, the memories...and I was lucky to have a perfect driver's ed student partner that was a great guy and a great driver, too. As usual, you knocked it out of the park....as you ALWAYS do!! trivia which some may know, in '12 parr rewrote the lyrics to sef, titling it Tim Tebow's Fire to honor TT and the way he lives his life!!..but getting back to sef, it was one of the songs when i first heard, i knew it was going to #1. it is another one of those classics from the 80s which still rule!!!
