Everyone is talking about how good the music is, the learning, and the shitposts, But no one is talking about the lore, so I’ll recap:
In the first episode, martin calls upon Kevin, and starts to be a fucking bully to Kevin because he seems to have a bit lower intelligence than martin, I assume this because Kevin talks a bit slower and quieter, btw not saying people that are more quieter and talks slower are less smart, anyways, eventually martin is done with Kevin just asking simple questions, and tosses Kevin into space, but then Kevin somehow is able to disrupt the screen, showing the class that they are trapped out in space, then martin pulls Kevin back in so the disruptions stop, then eventually, martin asks Kevin to design a rocket in like 10 seconds and if he does it he wouldn’t be tossed out anymore, Kevin does it, and martin marvels at it under his breath, and then martin shows his bias towards Kevin because then he says Kevin did a terrible job, tossing him into space once again, but then Kevin, watching from the cosmos, sees martin using his design, and this is when Kevin snaps, he either stole or made his own spaceship while martin kept on teaching, then eventually, another screen disruption happens, and then martin notices Kevin is gone, then martin peaks out and sees Kevin place something in his ship, and martin asks what the fuck Kevin is doing, “FUCK YOU!” Kevin shouts in a loud, booming voice. “IM DOING MY OWN SHIT!” Kevin says again, then martin, horrified, sees Kevin go in the ship and drive away, then, in the end credits, we see Kevin, looking down at a device, it reads: “proxima kentauri”, Kevin changes his angered face to a smile, like he just ate a good burger, he is not heard from, until...
Martin in this episode, makes a goal of making bases, (releasing the space kraken on mimbus in the process) and makes a big f_cking ship to contain and sell antimatter, and after making the big fuck off base in the middle of jool, he receives news of a new planet, one that was never known of before (besides by one man), and since he had a warp drive lying around because of all the science he had from the large base, decides to use it to reach the planet and sends two astronauts, to be the first to land on it and plant a flag, and uses “shitfart 14” the spaceship and the astronauts zoom off with the WD, but then..
    *_BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!_*
    *_EXPLOSION_*
    *_crashing_*
The ship was hit with an anti air missile, they see a man in a black suit with a gun.
Martin, witnessing the events from cameras installed in the helmets, makes a horrifying revelation.
    *_It was Kevin._*
And martin helplessly watches Kevin climb into the cockpit of ShitFart 14 and execute the astronauts. It’s not known what happens next, maybe Martin sends a whole army, maybe Martin leaves Kevin alone of Proxima Kentarui B, maybe Kevin invades Kerbin or any other planet, we’ll have to wait for episode 4, but all we do know is..
    Martin fucking despises Godzilla

To add my own small nitpick re the explanation at 19:00, nuclear thermal rockets do not actually heat their working fluid (hothot gas) to higher temperatures than chemical rockets. NERVA, on which the KSP nuclear rockets are clearly based, only operated at about 2100 celsius compared to the space shuttle's RS-25 reaching 3300 celsius. Yet, NERVA reaches almost twice the specific impulse. The question is why?
The key parameter we're interested in is the exhaust velocity, and the main source of the difference is that nuclear thermal rockets use hydrogen as their hothot gas whereas chemical rockets usually exhaust water + carbon dioxide + occasionally other stuff like nitrogen which we're not worried about right now. Temperature is the measure of kinetic energy of the particles in the gas, which is (1/2)mv^2, so for a given temperature a lighter particle is going to be moving faster. As it turns out, hydrogen is much, much lighter than water or co2. So, 2100 celsius hydrogen is moving a lot faster than 3300 celsius water. That's actually the main driver of nuclear rocket efficiency -- it's not temperature, but the freedom to choose a better hothot gas.
There's also a secondary benefit of hydrogen which works in nuclear rocket's favor (not as important as the mass difference but still interesting). Hydrogen gas is a small, one dimensional molecule, which means it stores less energy in vibrational and rotational modes than a larger two dimensional molecule like water. So, more of the energy of the gas can be converted into its momentum, which also raises its efficiency a bit.
source for NERVA -- page 18 of fas.org/nuke/space/nerva-spec.pdf, the R is rankine which is kelvin but american.

For a couple summers I worked with ALPHA, a group at CERN that produces antihydrogen to study aspects of the atoms like various spectrums and how gravity effects the atom. I was actually there the first night they successfully measured the spectra for the first time. Fun fact, even with the best methods we have for producing antihydrogen, the vast majority of it is lost during production. It's very easy for it to annihilate on its matter counterparts so it has to be contained in a vaccume. It's pretty easy to contain positrons and antiprotons because charged particles follow magnetic field lines, so you can use simple Penning traps. But antihydrogen, just like normal hydrogen, is charge neutral. So you have to contain it using the magnetic moment, which is significantly weaker than electric charge. You need really strong magnetic fields (or more specifically, strong magnetic fields gradients), but even then you can only trap the lowest energy particles. The vast majority of atoms produced are lost.
At first, each cycle we were lucky to trap 1-2 atoms, and each cycle takes hours. Methods improved to help trap more, but it was still on the order of tens of atoms. Also, even after they were produced, they wouldn't easily be contained because a perfect vacuum is a challenge. So producing and maintaining antimatter is a serious challenge, which is why the cost estimate for antihydrogen is so high. It's valued very high not because there's a black market or a ton of utility for antihydrogen that makes it valuable, it's simply expensive because it's hard to make and therefore hard to study. If you could easily make and contain that much antihydrogen it wouldn't be worth nearly as much. If you could it would still be worth a lot to the researchers who want to study it. But most researchers don't have billions lying around. In many ways, antiprotons or positions would probably be worth more in larger quantities because they would have more useful applications in the real world. For things like medicine or fuel.
Very fun video. Keep up the good work!
