It was interesting that Rosemary promised the governor so many grand promises and then surprised everyone about it all. During the season Elizabeth and especially Rosemary and others had criticized Lucas for doing just that. So who is baling her out and organizing the two biggest events the big dinner and glamorous gala ball, well Lucas of course. Kind of hypocritical.
It was Henry who gave Lucas good advice about what was important and then he decided to stay in Hope Valley. Now Henry may help Elizabeth see how grief is controlling her feelings and that she should look ahead to what is really important for her future. He is a good friend to them both.
These last two episode have had me on the edge of my seat. My only wish is Nathan isn’t being used again as a vessel for Elizabeth’s grief. I think it would be sad for that to be his main storyline. I do sense unresolved feelings for Nathan from Elizabeth. Anxiously awaiting what happens there. It will be interesting considering Nathan’s main story in the first half was a “relationship” with Faith and now this last half seems to be Mountie driven. But also lots of intimate conversations and looks from Nathan and Elizabeth.
Agree above N & F ,when he told E Faith called it off, i was saying out loud when were they a couple. It doesn't make sense. Im still hoping for a wedding but i want it small intimate and romantic not some big grand thing.
Not loving the way certain storylines have developed or seeming dropped so far. The roller coaster ride this season is reminding of season 8. Sigh! I hope these next 3 episodes clear up this mess with certain storylines and characters
I really don’t love the season. I did love episode 8 - it was the only well written episode- I liked the piece of season one. BUT Where is the romance??? Not between Lucas and Elizabeth- not with Nathan and anyone. Not with anyone anywhere!! I agree I am frustrated by the lack of development of both Nathan and Lucas this season. Lucas is not himself! He is so blah and like a pushover. Nathan has no storyline of his own. I agree that they are playing it too safe. It feels like Season 9 never happened!!! The writers are acting like they are rewriting season 8. More of Elizabeth mourning for Jack with Nathan as the vessel.. she already went through that!! Why are they doing that again? It’s just lazy writing. And if she is going through mourning why isn’t she speaking to Lucas about what she is feeling? I like all of the minor stories (choir, hot springs , etc) but Elizabeth is not herself and rehashing things she has seemingly already dealt with! I understand that they wanted drama before the wedding, I want that , but they could hav redone that in 100 different ways without going back to old storylines. (Where is the book wagon? She could hav whine out of town and gotten lost or hurt! What about that kind of drama!!) just frustrating!! Thanks for letting me vent!!
I think it was ok for Elizabeth to go through the grief of Jack again because of Little Jack and his questions. They just didn’t have to add Nathan in the mix.

I feel it was a stretch for the storyline that she saw Jack in Nathan with them both being Mounties.
And all the montages feature dug scenes from season 6 and 7 lol 😂
