Alex Marno Wow thank you so much!! I’ll definitely be looking him up (even though i’m in the US). I feel a lot better now haha. I’ve always been interested in painting and drawing so i was hoping that would count for something. Thanks!!
well some people try learn so much from the beginning and try to take in so much information, I'm only 15 but I think you should take it slow and keep on building up as you go through your school - people learn in different ways.
I’m 19 now and once I was a kid I was inspired to build and know more, I used to work at making custom cabinets, installing floors, installing basically anything for interior when I was 15 and every time I went to a clients house it tells a story and each time I see a structure of their homes it brings out like a vibe and I want to do something like that one day to design and build at the same time. So basically I’m trying to say it’s always good to see beyond your potential on what ever you’re interested at
Ha, same. I’m literally 13 and I was driving with my mum and kept saying I’m gonna make that, look at the shape. Etc... and she was like, you should be Sam architect 😂
I'm 16 and I love seeing and sketching houses and buildings which drove me to be an architect and I watched some videos which really brought me down and I saw this video and it really inspired me to be an architect and hopefully one day I can be one, your video change my view towards architecture for the good
i'm 15 and EVERYTHING around me screams about how architecture is hard. Wow, thanks a lot. This, it's driven by passion and persistence, and if i don't have these then it's good bye... Honestly don't know if I can, so, y'know, bye bye building. But I'm sure this built someone a lot.

First time ever commenting on UA-cam. I'm 6 years into my career as a structural engineer in bridge design. I've been on stress leave for 10 months now due to severe burnout. Over that time, the burnout has turned into depression. Both of these mental states I've never struggled with before. I've been searching for the changes I need to make to be happy. It's not a small task, and I find myself losing motivation too often. I cannot thank you enough for creating this video. The way you tell your story gives me so much hope and inspiration and it put a rare smile only face! I'm positive things will turn around. Cheers from Canada!
amazing that this shared experience hasn't been documented more often, rather it's been carried inside all of us...love hearing that the video has reached so many like minds...best to you my friend...
As an Industrial Designer navigating a period of self-discovery and redefinition, this resonates deeply with me. It’s clarifying, meaningful, and truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Finally here. Great documentary, quality almost too good for UA-cam. Genuinely happy to see that you're able to earn your creative freedom when your'e still at your prime age Eric. So this documentary culminates in the development of your studio, looking forward to a 'follow up' documentary in say 5 years.
kind words frank...thanks for your continued support...looking forward to seeing where the path leads (for both of us) in five years...cheers my friend!
I am in senior year in high school, I really want to become and architect, this video encouraged me to focus on my path and I will work hard to pursue this career. Thank you, and I hope everyone else here accomplishes their goals. God Bless all of you guys.
My heart is genuinely eviscerated, to the point of tears. This is beautiful, I'm starting my journey down this road next month as an architect, and I'm thrilled to be a member of your community. Thank you
A Sneaker And a Dream I wanted to be an architect since I was 11 not because of LEGO or kids show is because of minecraft because the limitless ideas and creativity you can do in the game although you can do like thin walls or anything but I saw the game as a way to set off my future and currently I’m using rebut city to design things although I’m only in grade 10 I’m curious what it will be like to advanced into this more because I have a lot of ideas
why do I exist? The whole reason I’m choosing to be an architect is also because of minecraft. I started getting addicted at age 11 or 10 as well and I’m also in year 10. Recently built a computer, went onto UA-cam, hit play on one of keralis’ old videos and started building in Flows hd with Sliders Vibrant Shaders. Couldn’t be happier
Amazing video, really inspirational. I think I'll keep coming to this video every time i need a little push up to keep working on what I want, thanks for sharing.
I start trade school for masonry soon & this is giving me the chills. I spoke with the instructors about my goal to build an “architecture firm”. In my mind it’s vague & childlike & now your testimony is giving me a broader idea of what’s possible. Thank you
The very discipline of your routine is creatively freeing. Successful people / artists practice and embrace this concept of working effectively and efficiently. A terrific personal reminder of how to use your time well. Well done and much success.
I’m starting architecture school in the fall, this video is reassurance I’m getting into the right field. What I absorbed from this video is you must break the rules and stay curious; you can’t feel complacent in this industry. You must constantly adapt to changes. Thanks Eric, your videos are extremely helpful & inspirational
that cleansing and renewal notion is a door we can pass through or know we can pass through. thinkers often walk about in solitude of thoughts returning to things to be worked out. in time your sculpture is formed. appreciate your unique work.
This is a work of art. As a “maker” I find myself have many similar thoughts and appreciations but find it difficult to formulate into words or routine and this video has actually helped me answer certain questions I have been asking myself. Best video yet!
I did work experience at a firm and I quickly realized the repetitive nature of the job that I have been dreaming about for years, thinking I had been told architecture was something it was not . After watching this I see how this wasting time for money cycle could be broken as you've shown because architecture in its simplest to me is the art of making
As a young architect in training , this video is very inspiring and encouraging to the many years to come in the field of architecture. It reminds me that each step is a process and making your dreams into reality, happens with acting on your potential. Very impressive short film.
Amazing history, amazing life and amazing video! I'm a architecture student from Brazil and found in you one of my biggest inspirations! The simplicity, objectivity and precision that you have in you work as a hole is admirable. Thank you very much for sharing this experiences whit us! Thank you!
You hit the nail on the head. That is why in the end I didn't pursue architecture. I could see very early on that I wasn't going to get to create like I wanted to and be stuck in a rut- swamped by details I didn't choose. It is awesome to see you breaking out and making this work!
This is so inspiring! Being in a contractor company drained all my creative juices. I was only thinking of making money. But on the bright side, I learned construction details that most architects forget to comprehend.
This was so inspirational! I've been studying architecture to decide whether I want to start to pursue being an architect. Every video I watched would highlight the negative aspects about architecture and didn't even begin to mention how wonderful it is to create and explore the aspect of building and creating something, like your workshop. This was a wonderful film and I'm so glad I came across this video!
I'm a senior student in architectural engineering and whenever I feel down I watch this because it gives me hope, Thank you so much for being a great content creator!
I’m 17 years old n I’m planning to enroll in architecture engineering I’m sooo exited to do so, but ppl around r saying that it’s hard :( anyways best of luck mate Have some faith 😌
@@habibaammour3980 i'm 14 and I also want to be an architect in the future but sometimes I feel like I can't really do it:< btw, goodluck to the both of you!❤
This was well needed an inspirational. For a while now I have been thinking about giving up my architecture dreams for something safer and more mundane due to me being able to afford architecture school. However this video took me back, to when I was a kid, building cardboard houses for my toys, building my own towns and cities out of sand, roads to point A and point B. The very thing that I was doing since I was a child, is now giving me a new sense of inspiration towards the future. I'm 21 at the time of this comment, hopefully I will find a way and make it worth, tired of the norm and mundane, I want the exceptional and excitement in my career and my life
This is an amazing and inspirational video. It made me feel alive again and reminded me why I chose Architecture as a career. I want to be like you when I grow up. ( I am 38 ;-) lol ) Great work ethics. That studio is amazing. Happy to learn that you are happy creating. Best of wishes and continue to inspire all of us.
kind words my friend...so happy this film is reaching so many people and tugging at just the right emotions...much success to you, keep making things out there...
I've watched this before, but it still inspires me. One day, I may just have, and live the creative life I've always wanted for myself. But I've got to make the sacrifices first. Fighting!
I am currently studying architecture in México and I was having a hard time finding inspiration and motivation to keep on going. My girlfriend encouraged me to look for a "role model" in architecture for me to not forget why I started in the first place and where do I really want to go. I'm happy to say that this video (and all the others in your channel) has inspired me. I really look up to you, the things you do and how you do them. Your passion for making and sharing is outstanding and contagious. I'll come back to this video everytime I feel my motivation is running low. Keep it up amigo!
I love this. You have no idea how much others can relate to this. I hope to get where you are. Freedom from 9-5, freedom to reap the benefits of the hard work you put in, freedom to enjoy life. Thank you.
This is what scares me the most. Dedicating my WHOLE life to the career. Don't misunderstand me, all about this video is so inspiring. But how everything is meticulously calculated, your mornings, your "free" hours, where you're still thinking about architecture, your afternoons. I'm architect, and I respect your life being entirely dedicated to work, there's just so much for me for me out there.
Amazing 8 minutes of inspiration! I an an architecture student from Portugal and I am about to graduate. This gave me a bit of confidence. It is easy to feel overwhelmed by the unknown world outside of school, but we have to believe we got the tools not only to draw buildings, but also to draw a meaningful (professional) life :)
Your happiness and success are due to many things especially discipline. You seem to have found that elusive combination of a passion/labor/true self, the reward of which fuels your motivation and ability to maintain a self-rewarding discipline. Very well done.
Sir.. you earned my respect. I had the same feeling about facing the world after graduating college. I took Bachelor in Architectural Drafting Technology, it was great. But when I stepped in my "On Job Training" (OJT) to experience my line of work outside the school, everything that I have learned became dull on what I have expected. Most draftsmen were not following the ground basics of making models, there lots of flaws. It made me sad. The statement you said, "Trading Time for Dollars" was a great impact. Thank you so much for this, it really made me cry with a smile. :') And same time made me hit the subscribe button.
I'm not in high school yet, but I plan to take courses in architecture, I'm self-studying and researching the realities and the hardships that this career has. I'm more advanced in artistic and creative ways, but sociably and under pressure, I'm lacking, but I have a long time till then, and those are things I can work on. Recently I've been getting more organized and I watch a lot of UA-cam and read articles on this career path so I have an idea of what I'll do after I graduate.
I've only just stumbled across this video (and the channel) and I'm just blown away. I used to love drawing random buildings for fun when I was a kid but fell out of it all in high school due to a teacher. Slightly envious, Eric! You've got a clear love for what you do, freedom to create and your photo/video/edit skills are excellent. The channel and Instagram account are something to aspire to. Awesome work.
Thank you for showing your journey. Not an overnight success story wondering from a cocky view point why we aren't on your level. Thank you for showing and sharing your story from start, working toward success. Thank you for really trying to provide a product of mentorship.
glad it wasn't painted as all rainbows and unicorns...that was the intent. every day is its own struggle, still working to figure it out. much success to you my friend...
I've been planning this lifestyle since day 1 in Arch school. I'm beginning to crave your videos. Side note: Istanbuls and Zilgjians harmonize beautifully! If you're ever looking to switch up your cymbals ;)
cheers my friend, thanks for watching. my son is in charge of the drum kit and all I hear about is how he wants to upgrade his cymbals...he's apparently saving for a bosphorus...
This video was an emotional ride for me! After 6 years in Uni and 5 years working in the field (of architecture), a few months ago, I found myself truly burned out! I decided I need to rethink how and where I want to go. Showing how you made it all work out so beautiful gives one hopes, so thank you!
Eric this is one of the best videos that I have seen on youtube. I'm glad that you are now enjoying your work. I too share a similar pain when I had worked for construction companies and mainly did 11 hours of just drafting each day. I'm now working as a BIM Engineer whilst also completing my masters in Architecture as I'm chasing my registration just like you did to be free. I do not need the registration as much to find a decent job but it is just to realise the dream. I too hope I can find another source of income whether an investment or the like to allow me to have my own studio someday and have the freedom to pick and choose the next job. Please keep making these videos, they are great.
I'm 17 and looking at colleges that offer Architecture as a major. I've always loved sketching houses and buildings. When I go to competition my dreams get shut down pretty quickly by all the other competitors. Since I was 9, I've known what I wanted to study. This Short film has really inspired me to keep working on my dream. Thank you!
I really love this short film, i don't even know how many times I've watch it. every time that i want to be motivated i just watch this video and it really helps me
Eric, thank you so much for the material you have made available. I've read both Vol I and Vol II of your book in the past year. Your resources and other "EntreArchitects" have been vital in my own transition from a life of trading hours for dollars into a life of building my own design business. You've helped me think and plan. You're part of a new generation of leaders in the profession I think are paving the way for what the business of architecture and design is moving towards. Thanks for following your heart and being a pioneer for the rest of us!
I am a Musician and a Software Engineering graduate. My dad is an Architect and this video is really inspiring, even for me, though I am not really into the architecture stuff. My dad wanted me to persue Architecture but I always loved both Computers and Music and I'm really glad that I'm living my dreams. Will definitely share this video with my dad. Keep up the great work :)
Nice, nice, nice, Eric ! Worth waiting for! I love the quote; ' how we spend our days, is how we spend our lives'. There is a huge lesson for us all in just those few words. And my, how you take charge of your days and take responsibility for, and pay attention to the details. Like the little pebble on your front door-step..... Inspirational!
Love this Eric. Great job. As you put so well in the video, you've summarized well what so many of us have felt. Great to see how you've merged the love of architecture with online entrepreneurship!
Desde Peru-Sudamerica, te envió un gran saludo y agradecer tu forma de compartir tu vida y profesión, ser arquitecto no es fácil, pero es maravilloso!!
Im a teen and I want to be an architect in future. i too love "making" things. so starting of your story and mine are quite same. once one of my family members told me that he has seen "NO FUTURE" of architects. i promised him, i will show the future of architects! it is difficult in the concept of my country. now your video inspired me and made me to dream that i can live the life that i always dream only if i want to. Thank you. you truly are a dream-maker.
perhaps the definition of what it means to be an architect is changing, indeed I'm hopeful it is...however, there will always be a need for architecture and space making that improves life...pursue what makes you happiest in whatever form that takes...
@@30by40 Sir I know you dont remember me. But today I am an architecture student of one of the best architecture schools in my country. Today I actually did the setup of drafting table in our design studio. Obviously I remember you, I thank you. Also, I told my professor about following your channel, he appreciated me, and you.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! oh you have no idea how much this video helps me and i'm sure many more of us who are at this point in our life - a crossroads of sort- and need some help in understanding how to cope with whats ahead. You have hit the nail on the head for me! You have opened my mind and given me new perspective.
Thank you for this new interesting video, I have enjoyed it all through and shared most of your thoughts. To be creative, to understand this special quality being an architect (or not) and to apply it to our world is a personal journey that only few people can have the vision and ability to develop for their own fulfilment. As you well say "I made it with you in mind. To empower you to go find the things that make you feel most alive, most fulfilled, the things that bring you happiness". Thank you once again for sharing your experience. Regards and congrats!!,
You know, I'm a teenager RN and I've always wanted to be an architect, found your channel today, and I'm already convinced I wanna be like you, living by my design
Going to uni in september to study architecture. I'm so glad I've watched this video. When I'm done with these next 5 years of architecture, I want to do what you do: love my work. Keep it up x
This was the most inspiring video i've ever seen and i mean it. I too was into architecture since i was a kid playin with legos building roads and cities. Now after i grew up and finishes my studies i got punched with a sad reality of working on a firm facing the laptop for straight 8 hours a day, this was not what i wanted. you sir achieved every thing i dreamed for so i hope you keep doing what you are doing, and to be honest this video made me more determened to achieve what i once pictured to do when i was a younger me. Thank you sir and enjoy what you have.
@@angelinafahm if you love something then its always worth it no matter what ... how ever todays young architects main struggle is the first years of practice wich can be very frustating so you need to work hard and have the weeling to learn more and more every day
I just graduated architecture, but I'm just getting started. I always watch this vid/channel when I'm having exhaustion from the profession. Thank you for sharing, teaching and inspiring us students.
Excellent. And now for the title of your next video. The one we’ve all been waiting for “I don’t know why it’s so hard to believe in myself”. I hope you recognize that what we appreciate about your path, is the courage. The lack of which, keeps us under the thumb. Thx!
am just a in the second year of architecture and i feel so impressed ! you are such creative architect ! thnx a lottttt for your efforts keep going and i wish to you all the best !!!
I found this channel about 4 years ago, and I took notes from some of the videos. Next month, I'll be in architecture school. I'm glad I found this video again. It reminded me of why I chose architecture in the first place; to create.
this is the only architecture-based short film i've seen. I have never felt so much sincere inspiration, hope, and just pure joy hit me - via youtube, of all things. Thank You so much for what you do. Your dedication and clarity is touching, and I am so, so grateful because i don't know if I could have ever received this much motivation and clarity for myself otherwise. This is such a powerful medium, and i cannot thank you enough for making such wonderful use of it.
Eric, this is an amazing and inspirational video. It certainly highlights the gratification of the design process. However, my experience is the design process is a smaller part of my day than most people realize. I think it would be helpful to aspiring architects to the see the entire process on your channel. They need to understand the impacts of all the forces that are applied to a project. Clients, contractors, code officials, budget are just a few that can make or break a project. Only 10% - 15% of our time is spent on design and presentation. 65% of our time is developing construction documents, specifications and cost estimates. The remainder of our time is attributed to construction administration, accounting and general business management.
Thanks for watching! This is an older video so be sure to check out the newer series I've been making on the Outpost: ua-cam.com/play/PLuJj3iQpiK3tBMHmc3vnlc5vQEFbh7Hsv.html Here's one from that series, "Most of my time as an architect is spent doing this..." ua-cam.com/video/fCERN8_JMvM/v-deo.html I'd love for other architects to make videos and add to the conversation, I'm just one voice! Cheers...
Being architecture student i feel sometimes i missed alot of things in my years because i didn't grew up i n a home with everything like floor plans and know it but today alot of Things changed lot.
i used to always build things and pretend to be an architect but got discouraged when my family said it wasnt a job for women, this has reinspired me ...thank you
That was beautifully filmed, scripted and truly inspiring. I love your philosophy on practicing architecture/design/creativity. I aspire to create a work/life balance like yours. Great job!
Eric, thank you. What else can I say? With yet another client who had cited his reasons for not being able to pay my fees after I'd done what was needed, I had started off questioning the future of my career as an independent architect. Your video made me think and I write this comment after some good, hard looking into what I could do to make a change. That's all I know for now, but surely you've inspired me to not give up. Once again, thank you.
Jeez man, you are like the reflection of what I want to be in the future. Starting my masters of architecture in the next two weeks. I was anxious about this step, but you have given me the clarity I needed. I will too nurture my passion for filmmaking and music to keep me calibrated. I wish to have this level of meaning in one of my future videos. Subscribed :)

why do I exist? The whole reason I’m choosing to be an architect is also because of minecraft. I started getting addicted at age 11 or 10 as well and I’m also in year 10. Recently built a computer, went onto UA-cam, hit play on one of keralis’ old videos and started building in Flows hd with Sliders Vibrant Shaders. Couldn’t be happier
Don't be an Architect, be a builder.
the most beautiful film ever made on architecture. Eric Reinholdt, Sir, you will always be one of the greatest inspirations and role models.
wow...can't tell you what it's like to hear this...much respect...
Amazing video, really inspirational. I think I'll keep coming to this video every time i need a little push up to keep working on what I want, thanks for sharing.
right on...that was my plan...
i am architect from russia and when i watch you video i understand HOW I LOVE ARCHITECTURE! thank you for my inspiration!
I start trade school for masonry soon & this is giving me the chills. I spoke with the instructors about my goal to build an “architecture firm”. In my mind it’s vague & childlike & now your testimony is giving me a broader idea of what’s possible. Thank you
A successful inspiring architect, I thank you and all the architecture channels that help to spread the true culture of architecture.
kind words...many thanks...stay positive...
The very discipline of your routine is creatively freeing. Successful people / artists practice and embrace this concept of working effectively and efficiently. A terrific personal reminder of how to use your time well. Well done and much success.
I live and die by routine...many thanks for your kind words...
I’m starting architecture school in the fall, this video is reassurance I’m getting into the right field. What I absorbed from this video is you must break the rules and stay curious; you can’t feel complacent in this industry. You must constantly adapt to changes. Thanks Eric, your videos are extremely helpful & inspirational
are you 4th year archi now?
This video is sooo useful for apiring architects!
+1
that cleansing and renewal notion is a door we can pass through or know we can pass through.
thinkers often walk about in solitude of thoughts returning to things to be worked out.
in time your sculpture is formed.
appreciate your unique work.
Very impressive short film.
precisely...small steps, each day. appreciate the kind words my friend...
Amazing history, amazing life and amazing video!
I'm a architecture student from Brazil and found in you one of my biggest inspirations! The simplicity, objectivity and precision that you have in you work as a hole is admirable.
Thank you very much for sharing this experiences whit us! Thank you!
kind words...many thanks my friend...!
You hit the nail on the head. That is why in the end I didn't pursue architecture. I could see very early on that I wasn't going to get to create like I wanted to and be stuck in a rut- swamped by details I didn't choose. It is awesome to see you breaking out and making this work!
choosing to do something different wasn't easy but so worth it...cheers...!
This is so inspiring! Being in a contractor company drained all my creative juices. I was only thinking of making money. But on the bright side, I learned construction details that most architects forget to comprehend.
This is my favorite video of you, makes me believe in architecture once again. Thank you for sharing your mind and your world with us
cheers my friend...
This video just waken the deepest joy I had in architecture. Thanks
it worked then...!
Allon Morgan same here
I'm a senior student in architectural engineering and whenever I feel down I watch this because it gives me hope,
Thank you so much for being a great content creator!
I’m 17 years old n I’m planning to enroll in architecture engineering I’m sooo exited to do so, but ppl around r saying that it’s hard :( anyways best of luck mate
Have some faith 😌
@@habibaammour3980 i'm 14 and
I also want to be an architect in the future but sometimes I feel like I can't really do it:< btw, goodluck to the both of you!❤
After watching this video, I respect you and am grateful to you for sharing this wonderful journey.
respect.
30X40 Design Workshop thank you so much for your reply. Keep creating..... 😊
absolutely beautiful short film my friend. Thank you for sharing your creative practice with us.
Keep it up amigo!
cheers my friend...humbled that I might be an example for others...hard work always pays dividends...keep at it...!
Cheers...🙏🙏
Sir.. you earned my respect.
And same time made me hit the subscribe button.
Yourself and Bjarke Ingels have made a real impact on a career choice I've been deciding. The good and the bad.
Love your passion! Not just a work! I have a challenge project need an architect like you!
Beautiful video! this perfectly shows how architecture is not only a profession, but also a way to live.
Please keep making these videos, they are great.
thanks for sharing your story...keep after the dream and keep making things...anything is possible with focused effort...
Thank you!
I really love this short film, i don't even know how many times I've watch it. every time that i want to be motivated i just watch this video and it really helps me
Me has inspirado para salir adelante como estudiante de arquitectura y futuro arquitecto.
Saludos desde México

Eric, you are an artist.
Thanks for following your heart and being a pioneer for the rest of us!
kind words my friend...many thanks...!
Keep up the great work :)
fantastic...thanks for sharing...
My dream is to work with orchestra and make epic theme for movies ,but don't know how
Nice, nice, nice, Eric ! Worth waiting for! I love the quote; ' how we spend our days, is how we spend our lives'. There is a huge lesson for us all in just those few words. And my, how you take charge of your days and take responsibility for, and pay attention to the details. Like the little pebble on your front door-step..... Inspirational!
you noticed...one of my favorite finds...
kind words, many thanks...cheers...
Dude, I love your story! Keep up the great work! :)
cheers my friend...
I can't believe how much this channel has grown in the past 5 years. Really amazing to see.
Love this Eric. Great job. As you put so well in the video, you've summarized well what so many of us have felt. Great to see how you've merged the love of architecture with online entrepreneurship!
many thanks Enoch...each day is a new experiment!
Regards and congrats!!,
thanks for watching and for sharing your thoughts +NORA MÁRQUEZ DE CHACÍN ...appreciate it!
You know, I'm a teenager RN and I've always wanted to be an architect, found your channel today, and I'm already convinced I wanna be like you, living by my design
kind of you to say...keep making things out there...
Going to uni in september to study architecture. I'm so glad I've watched this video. When I'm done with these next 5 years of architecture, I want to do what you do: love my work. Keep it up x
fantastic...an amazing time awaits you in school...
Hi, How's your architecture studies going?
This was the most inspiring video i've ever seen and i mean it. I too was into architecture since i was a kid playin with legos building roads and cities. Now after i grew up and finishes my studies i got punched with a sad reality of working on a firm facing the laptop for straight 8 hours a day, this was not what i wanted.
you sir achieved every thing i dreamed for so i hope you keep doing what you are doing, and to be honest this video made me more determened to achieve what i once pictured to do when i was a younger me.
Thank you sir and enjoy what you have.
DEHRIB Aissa do you enjoy your job?
@@angelinafahm if you love something then its always worth it no matter what ... how ever todays young architects main struggle is the first years of practice wich can be very frustating so you need to work hard and have the weeling to learn more and more every day
inspirational . keep doing it!!

Thank you for your wonderful video! I loooooove this video! I have always wanted to be an architect!!!! Thank you! Thank you! For this video.
Dude. Clarity. Hats off.
As a 30 year architecture veteran, I love this.

Artist + Engineer + Maker = Architect with Soul
I just graduated architecture, but I'm just getting started. I always watch this vid/channel when I'm having exhaustion from the profession. Thank you for sharing, teaching and inspiring us students.
Such a blessing to create and to be the commander of your own life.

Excellent. And now for the title of your next video. The one we’ve all been waiting for “I don’t know why it’s so hard to believe in myself”.
I hope you recognize that what we appreciate about your path, is the courage. The lack of which, keeps us under the thumb. Thx!
am just a in the second year of architecture and i feel so impressed ! you are such creative architect ! thnx a lottttt for your efforts keep going and i wish to you all the best !!!
kind words...many thanks...
I found this channel about 4 years ago, and I took notes from some of the videos.
Next month, I'll be in architecture school. I'm glad I found this video again. It reminded me of why I chose architecture in the first place; to create.
I'm 13 and you inspire me SO MUCH!!
this is the only architecture-based short film i've seen. This is such a powerful medium, and i cannot thank you enough for making such wonderful use of it.
kind of you to say...you're quite welcome...! cheers...
Just brilliant. Congrats on achieving this for yourself.
This is an older video so be sure to check out the newer series I've been making on the Outpost: ua-cam.com/play/PLuJj3iQpiK3tBMHmc3vnlc5vQEFbh7Hsv.html
Here's one from that series, "Most of my time as an architect is spent doing this..." ua-cam.com/video/fCERN8_JMvM/v-deo.html
I'd love for other architects to make videos and add to the conversation, I'm just one voice!
Cheers...
Being architecture student i feel sometimes i missed alot of things in my years because i didn't grew up i n a home with everything like floor plans and know it but today alot of Things changed lot.
i used to always build things and pretend to be an architect but got discouraged when my family said it wasnt a job for women, this has reinspired me ...thank you
Great video! As an architecture student this is pretty inspiring and it makes me keep doing what I'm doing.

Thank you for sharing your story. Fantastic video, and inspiring to want to lead a life that works for you.
That was beautifully filmed, scripted and truly inspiring. I love your philosophy on practicing architecture/design/creativity. I aspire to create a work/life balance like yours. Great job!
kind words my friend...it's all within your grasp...! best to you...
Well done Eric! Very inspiring and beautifully executed. I especially liked your sharing of your daily routine...keep living the dream. - Karen
thanks Karen...appreciate the sentiments and kind words...

*I’m 17 right now and when I was younger (about 10) I planned a WHOLE LOT. Bloxburg, the sims, and Minecraft inspired me. And every time I heard it, I start crying tears of joy and memory*
Are you studying architecture now?
This is amazing!!! Seriously, I’ve never felt so inspired to finally start my career in architecture ! I’ve been so lost in all the career options and what to do next for it but this video pushed me to research and call architecture company’s for internship or work experience. I’m about to buy your books, THANKYOU! 🙏🏼
How has it gone? I’m thinking to go into this career :)
Eric - thank you for this insight into how you've shaped and changed the way you work so it serves you - and in turn helps you serve others more effectively. Beautifully made, and so great to see your studio, and the gorgeous location you live in.

I am a prospective architecture undergrad major. I am so in love with the field. But I toured a residential architecture firm and was disillusioned. I saw so many projects and broken souls. This video really helps out with me seeing there are other ways to make. Thank you!!
