By the way, it was Kevin's skills "Cello-Boxing" (playing the cello and beatboxing at the same time, a term he himself coined) that got him the gig with Pentatonix in the first place. Matt had not officially joined yet at this point. This was one of several projects they did as a quartet while awaiting Matt to join full time.
I love this so much. Having Kevin play Avi’s bass line and probably what would have been his solo the lyrics missing are “So far away but still so near The lights come on, the music dies”. So sad but so fitting.
One of my favourites but a sad period, all the same. Then Matt walked in and made the world all right again although I will always miss Avi too. Thanks for posting.
This still makes me tear up. It’s so sad, I’m glad they found their missing piece and Avi was able to find what was missing for himself. The cello solo, is the verse Avi would’ve sang.
They are so in sync! They breathe together, attack and end the notes together, create nuances together. Man! They not only sing amazingly, they listen attentively as well. Love it and yes, it was a sad goodbye to Avi. Tough times. 🤗
What can you say about Kevin he is so dam gifted first time I saw him playing playing the cello and beatboxing I was blown away and still when I see this it's still just blows my mind he is so multi-talented just unbelievable amazing I feel like he brings everything together🤯✌️❣️🔥

It took me weeks to be able to watch it, and it still brings out the feels, especially when Kevin sings Avi's part through the cello, and Scott sings "I just came to say good-bye".

Can you please react to their cover of Elton John's "Can You Feel The Love Tonight" from The Lion King? It's really really good. You'll love the harmonies. Matt's bass line is also incredible. The Christian hymn AWAY IN A MANGER is the only other music video they did in the period between Avi and Matt.
