I tried many cad software for electrical drawings and settled with See Electrical. Using it for more than 15 years. Simple, faster and flexible. Easier to create documents, templates, and reuse many sheets from other projects. Compared to Eplan or Acad electrical, this can produce drawings twice as fast. And about 10 times faster than regular AutoCad. All software have some limitations..Weigh the drawbacks and choose. Regards.
No doubt, See Electrical is a really great software package. But, Eplan is still more than a horse head in front, in my opinion. I'm also familiar See Electrical since they were called Caddy++.
what is the shortcut key to get the symbol selection box pop up at 2:17:48? i can only do it through properties which is much slower and can't find the shortcut key on the eplan website.
Great video, How do you edit the macro at 2:09:42 directly, I can only do it by ungroup it first and then group it again and convert to window macro. Is there a shortkey for doing so.
Is really a fair comparison when you spent most of your time in autocad creating linetypes, components and terminals, which will already be complete once anyone has Autocad for over a month? Also, Autolisp is a major benefit for autocad. I can draw a complete project with PLCs, panel layouts, and BOMs is just a few hours after we automated the process with Autolisp. If you choose to put in the time like any good Designer should, Autocad is much better than EPlan.
I started from scratch on both products, so yes, I believe it was fair. EPLAN does also have an API, so you can automate anything. Feel free to take on the AutoCAD Electrical challenge: ua-cam.com/video/cJwol-EJyuc/v-deo.html And also challenge me back! Looking forward to see you convince me that AutoCAD Electrical is so much better.
Do you know AutoCAD Electrical? Capital Electra X? ExS ? EPLAN? PCSchematic? SkyCAD? No? How can you claim that E3 is the best then? I'll just regard your comment as a lame fanboy comment.
Great help for new consultancies to determine which CAD package to opt in for. Looking forward to analysis on 2D and 3D. Hope they're out soon
The 3D part with AcadE and Inventor is... Stupid. This will take some time...

Good one..have you any course regarding eplane
No, but EPLAN have trainings you should attend. You can only learn so much via UA-cam.

Hold down the shift key on the keyboard while selecting an object in a group to select that "sub object".
Press and hold shift
Really great video. Will we be able to enjoy videos about eplan tutorials?
Take a class to understand the core philosophy of EPLAN. Then, tutorials will make sense.

Brilliant tutorial. Please can you make more ePLAN videos or make a course for ePLAN
Nothing can beat a proper training class.
why my AutoCAD screen is so different than yours?
Maybe because I'm running AutoCAD Electrical, and not plain AutoCAD?
The best electrical program ZUKEN E3

It’s not even a comparison. I’ve used both, Eplan blows away Acade
I've used both as well. AutoCAD Electrical for 20 years. EPLAN for 5 years
Seems like eplan is way easier and intuitive than ACADE
Not unless you take a class to understand how Eplan works. It's NOT like traditional CAD at all.

You are absolutely right.

Thanks!
Why there is annoying music at the background? There is no need for it.
To annoy people so that they don't use it for "training"
@@ctrlaltel Thank you sir for a training video.

"Promo sm"
I've really been trying to show both programs from their best side. Do you think I've been unfair?
The most boring video on UA-cam hands on
Thank you! Is there a prize involved?
