Oh Nelson. The blooms and your variety of orchid lifts my spirits. Just gorgeous. Thanks again for sharing. 🥂🥂🇦🇺🇦🇺
You are very welcome. Thank you for taking the tour of the show. The flowers were awe inspiring.
Nice meeting you yesterday at the Boca Orchid Show. Your blooms are fabulous, so jealous 😅
Great meeting you as well. The Boca show was really good. I’ll be uploading an amazing episode showcasing their amazing orchids. Stay tuned! 🤩🤩🤩
We can't wait. We'll see you soon.
💚

Súper bello ese jardín, Como para no salir de casa 😘
Todos los días me pesa irme de mi casa. 😁
Te creo, tienes un paraíso, tengo el mismo sentir 😘
Being a quiet follower from Canada I have watched all of your videos to date. I just finished watching your February one with the stunning unnamed Cattleya. I'm going out on a limb with this but I believe it's Cattleya Amazing Thailand 'Rainbow'. This seems to be a very popular one right now, making its rounds at most shows this season. Very striking indeed!
Hi Karen. You are absolutely right. Another viewer suggested it and I immediately remembered I got the Amazing Thailand from Pam “Orchids In Bloom” last year at Tamiami show.
Absolutely beautiful. We love the new setup with the clay pot and towers in an angle, leading the viewer into the growing space. Saludos.
Thank you! And still allot more to come. 🎉
I remember when you were collecting the colors for the gigantea chandelier & I’m sure next year the peach ones will join in. I love seeing the progress of your lovely garden. I’m working on some garden projects but I have to pause for shows. Hoping to complete them by spring. I can’t wait to show you 😊. See ya soon 💚
Hi my friend. Thank la so much. I too wish I had the time to do more projects. Maybe we can do another home visit this year. 😬
@@naturenel sounds like a great idea 💚😊.
You did it again Nelson with your amazing What's in Bloom! Amazing show of beautiful, healthy orchids in a pristine environment!
Thanks a bunch Curlene. Can’t wait to do more projects. 💚
cantik dan subur subur bunga anggreknya
Thank you!🙏🏼
I have quail egg tolumnia too that is almost opened up
OMG that Rhy. Colmarie 'Banjong' is *GORGEOUS !* If Motes were selling it... they'd ask a Bazillion dollars... Now, it's got me drooling thinking of Smucker's Grape Jam... ha
ps. I Also LOVE that C. Sea Breeze x Lc. Louis McNeil "Hawaii" cross. a Fantastic set of parents !!!!!
Lol! Smucker’s grape jelly? I believe he sells them for $160. Not exactly sure but around that ball park. Colmaría is always up there in price. But it’s a spectacular orchid. A definite prize winner. 🏆
Loving all of your beautiful blooms but that “showtime” and cattleya are just WOW! 💚💚💚
Showtime is my new obsession. Those colors are so Avatar. I’m super happy I got 2 now. 😬
Great job! Now I wish I could have been there!
Thanks LInda. This was a great show. Very unexpected. 🤩
You have very beautiful orchids
Thanks for sharing They're beautiful.
💚
Oh, that paph. Incredible. Some of your mounts are as pretty as the blooms. Can't wait to watch again. Beautiful.
Thanks so much Donna. I appreciate that. 🙏🏼💚🙏🏼
Nelson, It is always a pleasure to be able to watch your videos. Loved seeing your orchids.
Thank you so much🙏🏼
Love the tour, Nelson! I particularly enjoy seeing all the blooms in the quick tent! Your collection is fantastic!
Thank you buddy. My Quicktent is always full of surprises. I love going in there and hanging out. I always discover a new bloom. 🥰
Nelson, I had a great time seeing all your blooming orchids😌🙌💞The Ludisia is Beautiful, and the Rhyncostylis are beautiful too🥰🤲
Thank buddy! Wait till we get to Spring. I may have to do a 3 part “What’s In Bloom” I don’t think I’ve ever had this many in my years.
Great video. Beautiful orchids. Thanks for sharing the events of orchid show. You are so generous always giving information all that you know, stay blessed🙏💕
Thank you so much. I don’t hide a thing. I feel growing orchids should be for everyone. 💚
You’ve outdid yourself, they are all so pretty and healthy. Love your property, many areas for orchids and plants. Thank you as always for the tour💚💚
Thank you Linda! 🫶🏼
Beautiful set up, I'd love to create something like this if I have enough space. The problem is, so little space and so many orchids that I want to collect. 🙃
You would be amazed on what you can do in a small space with orchids. There are plenty of mini and smaller orchids that do great in a small space like the novelty Phalaeonopsis and also small growing Bulbophyllums. Also many species from Africa are small.
Hola Nelson solo tengo palabra para decirte que Dios conserbe tu precioso gardin ❤❤
Mil gracias por tus bendiciones. Y que Dios te guarde en su protección.
2:56, hardware cloth 😊
Wow 😍 I love your content♥️
Thank you so much Nickie. 🫶🏼
Beautiful blooms as always. Love your new project definitely makes new room specially for the dendrobiums.💚
I can’t wait for a year or 2 to see those Dendrobiums get gigantic. 🤩
I love your videos nelson I'm always here to support your journey 🇵🇭❤️🌸🌸😊😊😊#keepItgreen🌿🌿🌿
And I appreciate you guys so much! Thank you for you support. 💚🫶🏼💚
Nelson you have made it to the orchid knowledge world of excellence with your experience in growing these pretty (what some people call weeds) but you are right we all should take a minute and look at our collection and think how far we got from the first orchid we bought. Your orchids are looking OUTSTANDING so well presented as usual 👏 and yes we are keeping it green thanks again from Mitch from Australia 🇦🇺.
Hello my Aussie friend. Always a pleasure reading your comments. You bring validation to my platform with your great feedbacks. I believe we need to always go back and see where we started from. It keeps us grounded and most of all humble. I appreciate you. 💚🙏🏼👍🏼

I do have the showtime too! So beautiful, so it is for sale sometimes in the EU 😅 and my Roy Tokunaga bloomed for the first time, I am impressed by the size of the blooms! I love it ❤ :D beautiful update again, thanks!
The “showtime” is just now hitting the market. I learned about it recently through Josh of The Orchid Den. And yes, the Roy Tokunaga Dendrobiums are massive bloomers. That’s part of its beauty.
Hi Nelson, in my opinion The natural beauty of orchids transforms any space💖🤩
Very true. I always say “ if you want to build your own paradise, start with an orchid”.
Great video and beautiful orchids as always 🤗. Love what you’re doing with the entryway with the pots and wire. 💚
Thank you! I have so many projects and ideas but very little time. ⏳
Ooohhh what was that punky/purple phals with the white streaks? I luv it 😍
Love, love, love your editing 😄. Gorgeous plants as always😍
Thanks so much 😊 I take allot of pride in my editing. It’s something I thrive to perfect more and more. That’s why every new year I like to amp it up more
Cattleya Amazing Thailand.
Perhaps!🤔
Welcome back :) just in time yey, making dinner and watching Nature Nel , love it.
See you on the next one. Bye.👋
Happy to keep you company during your daily chores like prepping dinner. Bon apetit! 💚
Nelson we miss you and tere Saturday in Camila open and always beautiful garden 😻 ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve been sick in bed since Friday with a stomach flu. I was not able to attend. 😷
@@naturenel I hope you’re feeling better and we miss you 😘
What a treat! You’re killing me. 14:09 Rlc Amazing Thailand.
I love the progress on your new projects.
Thank you PC! I believe I got that at Pam’s. I’ve only gotten one Amazing Thailand from Pam a year ago. First time blooming. 💚
Thank you for sharing your beautiful orchids- it is inspiring. Thank you for the growing tips also! Glad you will go back to Mercedes
You’re very welcome. Educational content is the most important thing to me. We can all grow our orchids together successfully. 🤩
Hi Nelson, I’ve enjoyed your videos so much, lots of orchids and other plants and the blooms are so beautiful. Thanks for sharing and keep it green 👍🏿
You are so welcome. More to come soon! I’m uploading the Boca orchid show. Wait till you see the amount of orchids they had. It was Cattleya paradise. 🤩
Always look forward to your videos, beautiful blooms as per usual. You give me inspiration to grow better, thank you!
Awe! Thank you so much. And reading comments likes this is my inspiration 🫶🏼
Love, Love, Love your Arachnis. The color is gorgeous. Beautiful blooms as always.
Thank you! I love the Arachnis because is so different from the rest of the orchid world.
Wow the anosmom is spectacular!! I absolutely love the entrance to your orchid house!! I’m working on mine as well. Thanks for all the ideas!
Happy to share! One more project to add to the list! Lol!
Nelson I loved your new arrangement and entrance. Looking good. Loved your Life Is Good T-Shirt, my husband collects them.
Thank you! I appreciate your compliments on the new entry way to the orchids. I’ve come to terms it’s a never ending project. I love Life Is Good shirts. I love that they put “think positively “. A company after my own words.
I ordered that same dendrobium from SW last year after watching your video :)
Is yours also blooming? This is the season.
@@naturenel it’s budding up :)
Love this video! You have a fabulous collection! Please take us to Mercedes and Maria’s house. You all give us so much inspiration. Thank you!
I do have those 2 visits planned out. I’ll be going very soon. 👍🏼
That SHOWTIME orchid is perfect! I’ve got to get one! 😊
It’s a spectacular orchid
@So.avant.garde1 I just ordered one after watching this vid. It is indeed hard to find. Waldor is out right now. I found a couple of ebay sellers and Marble Branch Farms has them available in 4.5in pots for $35.
Such a great job ❤❤ Everything looks gorgeous ❤️❤️👍👍
Thank you! 🤗
Nelson howdy.
Check if the cattleya with several colors which you don't have the tag for is Rlc. Amazing Thailand.
It turns out I got that Cattleya from Pam at Orchids In Blooms last year at the Tamiami show. It is an Amazing Thailand.
Thanks for taking the time to share your passion.
Anytime!👍🏼
That red one by the Red Dragon looks like Renathera James Storie. I also have a Den. Pendulum which has remained for so many months with no new growth.
Thank you for the verification on the Renanthera. It’s definitely that one. I got about 5 viewers identifying it as such. 👍🏼 Pendulums are finicky. I was pleasantly surprised to see it bloom so soon after receiving it.
I love your orchids collection and your yard. Hi from Puerto Rico!
Hello my Boricua friends. Love you all dearly. 💚🙏🏼💚
HiNelson all beautiful thanks fot sharing 😍🌱🌱🌱
Thank you Rosana. 💚
Bellas Nel ❤ me encantaron todas 💚💚
💚
Hi Nelson, those are the summer blooming phalaenopsis. Called policholis, excuse the spelling. I have quite a few, and some are species, and some are hybrids. They normally are sequential bloomers. I love them, and I love your channel ❤️ 💕 💛 .
Thanks for the info! I had only heard “Novelty Phals “. I guess there is a term for everyone. Lol! Thank you for you support and engagement to my channel. 🫶🏼
Chomthong fancy “fireball”have I think the same cattleya and is from krull smit
I thought the same. But I have the Chomthong as well. But when I compared the two they are different in the coloration. But a great guess non the less. 👍🏼
Thanks for another great video! Your red arachnis hybrid looks like Aranthera Anne Black. My Renanthera Kalsom Red Dragon does the exact same thing with the yellowing leaves!!
Yay!!! That seems to be correct! Thank you for identifying it. I looked but couldn’t find it online. I never thought to search Aranthera. So I guess the Red Dragon is prone to loosing leaves. Good to know. 👍🏼🫶🏼💚
I’ve been on the hunt for the genos gem since I saw it on your channel and krull smith finally brought it back! In small pots now
I got mine in a small pot as well. They grow pretty nicely. You will love it’s gorgeous blooms.
Question-is the pressure treated wood safe for the plants? Aren’t chemicals used in the process of the wood treatment?
Really great question. They use waterborn to make the wood moisture safe. Waterborn is made from a combination of polyester and polyurethane. The way is done is by pressuring all the water out from the wood and replacing with this substance which creates a sealing inside. There are other types of wood pressuring system like oils. But that’s more common in street polls and other types of industrial elements. This wood is used only for homes making it very safe. Also don’t forget we sometimes spray our orchids with extremely toxic chemicals and they don’t seem to be bothered by the toxins.
Just wanted to point out that those other phals would be considered “novelty phals” they have flutter growth, habit, waxy, flowers, and are usually fragrant
31:57 These types are usually referred to as being summer blooming, polychilos, or sequential blooming.
I don't own one yet since I only have 2 years of orchid growing experience so far, but I want to get the Bellina.
You are probably referring to the Florida rainbow Phal. That’s from Krull Smith.
@@naturenel I bought my first seedling size ones from J&L Orchids in Connecticut last Friday. I have to be really careful with watering during winter since they are moss.
Phalaenopsis bellina Sarawak ('Red Apple' x alba)
Phalaenopsis violacea Malay-Sumat coerulea Tawan Blue
Your Angraecum cross is Veitchii
And excuse my manners ; hi from the Cape Winelands !
Just wanted to point out that those other phals would be considered “novelty phals” they have a flatter growth habit, waxy, flowers, and are usually fragrant
Never heard that term before. Thanks for that! 👍🏼
The phal amboinensis is a species. “Tejas Giant “ is just the clonal name to distinguish it to other amboinensis phals.
And then there’s Texas Giant which supposedly is different from Tejas Giant. So confusing. 🙃
Hi! I was wondering if you can tell me how to get a hold of Backyard Blooms? They had that stunning vanda “Moonlight “. Thank you Sir!
Sure! They are really awesome people. That. Anda was incredible! Tell them I sent you. They’ll take good care of you. backyardbloomsfl@gmail.com
Also you can send them a direct message through Instagram at backyardbloomsfl
Nelson, may I ask, are you still mounting most of your orchids, or are you moving back to clay pots? I like mounts, but I think they are so pretty in the pots. I tend to overwster, though...
I’m doing both. I just mounted allot of Dendrobiums. An experiment 🧪 mmteying out with water pressure wood. But I do like potting as well. Specially Cattleyas.
Nel, what type of screen do you have on the screen area for your orchids?
70% UV blocked Shade screen.
I ordered a lot from S&W orchid.
Nelson what is the lowest temperature you have there ?
The lowest is usually in the 50’s but it doesn’t last. We are known to get flash cold weather in the 40’s, but it happens on rare occasions.
first 🙂
How often do you water the rhyconstylus
Since their bare root I usually water every other day in winter and everyday in summer.
Okay, I don’t know what to say, your new project looks awesome, and the orchids OMG please stop buying beautiful orchids. My collection looks so pathetic compared to yours next time I will send you my credit card and you can shop for me. lol 😂 lol 😊😊❤
You’re gonna trust me with your credit card and Orchids? Girl you have no idea what trouble you are asking for. Lol! 💸💸💸
