A well deserved reupload. Everyone deserves to see Mark working and learn a few good things from him. Also everyone should know what Tom Evans is about and while it is bad it is indeed out of this world!
I will not look the whole video again, I am just here for the comment and then I will let it run til the end in the background - just for the algorithm - lets spread it!😉
What a dog's dinner! Tom Evans isn't a good constructor! Full credit to Mark for reverse engineering this without manufacturer support and for tracking down a mundane fault. Mark++ Evans--
10:30-13:30 and 15:15-15:20 are where the re-created design document is leafed through page by page on screen. At 17:06, moreover, you can see how the exact position of each component and the precise shape of the board is diagrammed in the document.
I guess the poor schmucks dropping 25k for this amateurish shit must kick them selfs. I would not even let this slip through as a prototype. This is just a classic scam.
With Tom Evans everything is a little bigger. The absurd advertising promises, the excessive prices, but above all the arrogance. The phrase “Mark can’t fix this” certainly motivated Mark particularly and success is a painful kick in the ass for Tom Evans. But instead of tucking his tail, which probably would have been better, he gives Mark trouble about his copyright issue. He may have used it to set his cozy house on fire. We say: Whoever digs a pit for others will fall into it himself.
The technology is all well beyond me but I can say that the Tome Evans stuff that I have - pair of Linear Bs, Master vibe and groove to produce a very accurate, musical, dynamic sound! I'd also like to mention that both my phono stage and pre-amp were delivered in what used to be tea chests, packed in so tightly with bubble wrap and foam rubber that it's not easy to get them out, so I can't imagine the damage was on the delivery side. Maybe the buyer didn't hang on to the original packaging. Also, looking at Tom's website the list price is showing as £15,000 not £25,000.
Did you actually watch the video, to see the shoddy workmanship AND the price on the Tom Evans website in the video @2:00? You sound like the perfect buyer of his products. You need to look a bit further into this, if you are inclined. Tom Evans sent this unit to the gentleman repairing it, after the owner declined to pay the ridiculous repair cost Evans quoted him. The owner said "send it to Mark," and Evans told both the owner and Mark that he wouldn't be able to repair it - apparently believing that without a schematic it would not be possible. Mark is so smart and knowledgeable, he reverse engineered it to create a schematic so that he could repair it. All that was wrong was one capacitor was shorted - and Evans wanted 5,000 to 6,000 pounds to do the job. Mark did it for free. Evans thanked him by issuing a copyright strike, which caused this video to be removed from UA-cam. There's the story, if you realy have an interest in knowing what happened.
The thermal camera trick was priceless. nice job. you know your craft.
Totally heart-warming the way everyone's coming together for Mark. Good job
Well done to you and everyone else for re-uploading this video! 😁👍
I have re-uploaded the video on my channel as a show of support for the Mend It Mark channel and for the right to repair.

Commenting to boost the Streisand effect
The number of channels that have reuploaded this video is hilarious!
Thank you for reuploading this good video! Well done with all the work.
I can't believe that the Tom Evans world decided to get this removed.. Geez.
I'll like all reposts of this, as soon as I see them pop up.

Thanks for uploading! :-)
Shared on my page.
Some companies just don't understand what the "reputation" actually is.
If TEMU made Pre Amps
😂😂😂
Hello Tom Evans-Streisand - hope you're having a good day.
Filing a complaint against the truth is proof that the complainant has a lot to hide.
We'll remember that.

The more the merrier. I I can hear teeth grinding down in Glamorgan, 400 miles away.
Tom Evans, Tom Evans, Tom Evans you done f*****ed it up :P
I'd have missed out on Mend it Mark had it not been for reading about this debacle on Audioshite. Thanks for uploading.
well played

Tom Evans messed around with the wrong person. Bummer, dude.
cool cool!
Serious question: How can he live with himself selling that for 20k of any denomination?
Some people have more money than sense. The volume doesn't even go to 11.
It can go to 123, or 667..or any number you like to label it on your face plate.😉
I still think someone has to prove they hold a copyright before they are allowed to take an action.
I see a LOT of other channels have posted this video in response to the take down... evans got this horribly wrong
Tom "Barbara" Evans.

24k for dip switches on a 1k pre-amp but what do they do?

😃👍👍👍👍
Are the transistors hand-ground, or do they use a Dremel?

The repair quote was 12,000L I believe... way, way stupid. R2R!
£6,000

No one seems to be estimating what Tom Evans Audio Design would have charged for the fix.
I'm guessing 1800 pounds.
What's your guess?
haha Tom Evans
Cheap crap

That's UK vs. Australian cost.

Very rarely comment on videos, commenting now as a show of support for your re-upload and Mark who has been treated abhorrently.
