Hey Ken! I don’t know if you remember my comment on your last video, but I’m new to wet shaving. I’m still waiting on my Supply razor to get here with the starter kit of the brush, the soap, and the post shave balm, but I was just going to share a story since your hashtag on the videos is always #shavelikeyourgrandpa. I actually was talking to my grandfather yesterday, and we somehow got on the subject of shaving. I told him that I recently have gotten interested in all different types of razors, and he gave me a razor that his father, my great grandfather, used as his first razor. It’s a double edge, but I’m not sure of the brand or any other details other than this thing has to be from the 1930’s or 1940’s. When he showed it to me, his eyes just lit up because he was remembering watching his dad shave. Super cool way to start a razor collection if I do say so myself! Anyway, great video, and have a great week.

Polo blue is my favorite aftershave. I've been using it since my dad gave me my first bottle after I first started shaving. I rotate through aftershaves but Blue is what I want to use the most.
the proper way to use a brush is to grab it from the knot so you will squeeze back some of the soap when you apply it if you grab it by the handle, a lot of soap will get wasted
Great shave Ken. Polsilver Super Iridium are really good comfortable blades. Hard to get at times but totally worth it. Love the classic barbershop smell specifically Barbasol original scent. PAA's C.a.D. that very same scent on steroids.

@@kensurfs That's subjective Ken. It's perfume so it's much stronger than a light cologne. No EDT sadly, which being in between the two would be great IMO. Enjoy!
After watching your videos as I am new to wet shaving I ordered Wilkison sword razor blades from amazon and the description said made in India but ended up being from china slightly disappointing. Going to see how they work for me and order so that are from India later. I will say I called amazon and they refunded my money without any hassle. Thanks for the videos help a lot.
Thanks for reviewing the soap! Nice that this video was up the same day I have to return my masters thesis :). Your lather with that soap was way better than mine, I guess the fact that it dissolves made me feel like it wasn't such a good soap.
Eau de toilette and eau de cologne both have a higher concentration of essential oils and alcohol than an aftershave, which makes them harsher on the skin, but lasting longer. Here's the order of lowest to highest concentration: Aftershave/splash < Eau fraîche < Eau de cologne < Eau de toilette < Eau de parfum < Parfum (perfume)

Apparently this shaving brush is an experimental prototype. I have not seen it anywhere on sale. Only in reviews of one blogger and you. Perhaps the company sends new brushes to bloggers to know their opinion and then starts selling. Thank you!

Hey Ken! This is random and totally unrelated to this video, but I just got a 1962 Gillette Adjustable Slim for $20 shipped on eBay and I wanted to see if this was a good deal or not? It looks like it’s in pretty good condition judging by the pictures. The reason I ask is because I saw them going for a bunch of different prices on eBay and I couldn’t tell what it’s actually worth.

Kensurfs Thansk Ken! Unfortunately it wasn’t in the box but it’s in great shape cosmetically. The only issue is the blade gap is fairly uneven, it looks like something has been bent, I just can’t figure out what. Have you heard of a good way to fix this? Would it be stupid to try to shave with it?
