Korki you need to find another stylist.
Spend the money and go to a nice good salon, they charge higher prices for a reason,knowledge and experience.
I've been to some some high end salons and paid a lot of money to get a horrible hair cut before. For some reason hair stylist always want to cut in layers even when I'm very clear that layers do not work for me and my thin hair and just cut them in anyway. It always ends up maki g my hair look thinner and choppy.

I never thought about parting my hair in the middle to give it more volume on both sides! Usually I just part it on one side and flip it over. Thanks for the tip, Melissa! The lob definitely suits you.

I've had a cut like yours since May - it was such a huge change because I always had long, waist length hair. I'm so self conscious about it not looking good cause most girls on campus have really pretty, long hair. I also don't have time to style my hair every time I wash it because I'm a student, but after watching your tutorial I definitely feel more confident since your styled hair basically looks like my unstyled hair (except your hair is much shinier than mine). This is my next hair cut. I have the length close enough but I did the shorter in back/longer in front before and LOVED it. Granted, it was really short in back but I like this so much better. Unfortunately, my hair is incredibly thin and never gets this kind of volume but I am going to try. Love it!
And I have to echo what others have said about the color. I have nothing against highlights but this shade is perfect. I like dimension to hair, and shine of course, but sometimes highlights are just too, too much. One shade works beautifully on you.

the cool button also closes the cuticle of your hair shaft and locks in moisture. which is why you (are supposed to!) shampoo with warm water and rinse conditioner with cool water. that's also why it helps to keep it smooth, bc it is locking in the style. (and you should never use hot water on your hair either for moisture/dryness purposes! warm/lukewarm is as 'hot' as you should go!) I am a hairstylist btw! and this is a great hair tutorial.

Two weeks into my lob (and style it the way you do) and people are still going wild over my hair :) Not with the same products you've listed, but I use Bumble+Bumble products to style it.

I have this exact hair style rn and I loveeee it but I don't know how to style it besides straightening with a slight under curl inwards. This is exactly what I needed! My hair was down to my butt before I impulsively went in to chop it all off haha I freak out now and then when I cant do a bun or put it all up. But it is super fun and really sleek and chic + edgy and I do really love the change. Thank you for this video! This hair style really suits you! But I love your natural hair longer
OMG! Finally a tutorial for my type of hair! This is my exact look on hair right now, and I've been struggling with it because I have very full hair with too many volume and the other tutorials I've seen are for people with very thin hair, so I always get frustrated with the final look I get all puffy and messy. Mine is super thick and curly. I cut out under sections at the base of my crown and behind my ears to make it manageable. Stylists refuse to thin my hair because they said it would just cause short hairs to stand straight out

When I got a lob I got two inches of dead ends from constantly having to heat style it in order to get it to look the way I want. So my hair never grew because it would always have to be cut off. Versus to when it was long and didn't need much heat styling and could be worn natural

Your hair is gorgeous!! I love the cut and style. I also really appreciate you give options for products and explain why you use them. I just grew my hair out but because I now have Crohns nearly all my hair fell out. It's very fine and sparse now. it's always been fine but I had a ton of it so it looked thick. If I ever decided to cut it this is how I would do it. ❤

mine used to take forever also but if you do scalp massages daily and take vitamins it helps! Now mine grows super fast, Ive also heard that Castor oil works well for hair growth!

yes, use castor oil plus Plantur 21 shampoo if you can get it where you are. it grows SUPPPPPERR fast !

Try taking Chlorospirulina supplement .. I've seen people growing their hair real fast by using them in seminars .. even it helped some people who started to get bald grow some hair back .. like magic my brother is using them right now too .. But you have to find the best kind .. tell me where you live, I'll try to help you find it where you are~

It's so hard to find UA-camrs whose hair is as thick as yours. Personally, my hair is the same: thick, and when I dry my hair it tends to go pouf. So I'm glad I found you and this video. I now know what to use to take and style my pouty long hair.
Omg, I have the Sedu Revolution hair dryer and I absolutely love it! I bought it over 3 years ago and the dryer is still going strong! It dries my hair really fast too! Right on!

I used to have really long hair too.Then, POOOFF! One morning... I just decided to cut it short to a shoulder length, almost like yours in the video. And, I used to hate short hair hahahaha! But little did I know, the puffiness just makes me fall in love every single day! Yeeaayy!

What's so bad about black hair?
I dye mine jet black for a few years now and I love it. And I get tons of compliments on it.
Dyed black hair looks like shoe polish and it rarely looks natural or complimentary to most people. But if yours looks great then great. :O)
there's nothing wrong with it, it's just not the color I would go for but would always end up with it that color because I didnt know how to dye my own hair LOL
some people just don't like how they look w black hair! like me for example. lol
Nothing technically wrong with it. It just doesn't work on every skin tone. I like my hair dark, but if I go too dark my skin looks green :-/
I think hair that has lighter tones to it look more better when waved/curled, and I personally prefer my hair waved/curled but since my hair's black I think it just looks not as great. :/

Holly Miller It really depends on the oil. I don't think it'd matter w/ a blow dryer, but putting coconut oil on your hair before flat ironing it would be a no. It'd basically fry your hair!

I have a similar hair type and got a cut like this a few months back. As long as I continue to use Kirkland's moisture shampoo and conditioner my hair stays manageable but I'm always on the look out for different products to get different results :)

crl62089 yes always! I see them in my makeup photos when I zoom in and I'm like MEEEEEKAAAA!!!!!!!!!
If you do this and use mousse while your hair is damp before blow drying, either pull up or forward while styling for volume and make it seem thicker. And after you curl your hair use a dry shampoo or the texture spray she used at you roots and flip your head over and rub it into your scalp.
I have finer hair and I just cut it to this length it looks awful straight and flat and trust me when I do this it looks like I have a set of full thick extension in!
