"we have the power of editing, this can all be gone." But I absolutely LOVE that you kept it in because look, this is real life, it's how sessions go. No GM can be 100% on top of things and ready for ALL outcomes 100% of the time. (That was a fact I had a HARD time coming to grips with...no matter how ready I was there were always little snafus, sheets missing, books mislaid, dice rolling off the table, etc.) Leave it in, we love you anyway. ♥
Excellent work as per usual, you'll never hear me complain about a combat heavy session. Really appreciate how the team is starting to come together / gel when it comes to offense and defense, it's always interesting to see what they're going to come up with at any given moment. Also, props to David for the creepy carnival aesthetic, I don't really have a problem with clowns or circuses in general but throwing in a distant or off-key calliope will make anything exponentially scarier. Unrelated to the narrative, I just wanted to say thanks to the cast and crew as a whole for being a bastion of normalcy these last few weeks when it's been in short supply, even by Florida's admittedly looser standards. Here's to episode 7!
Well, at least I got to be there for the first 45 minutes of the premiere before stepping away, then passing out on the couch again 😅 Damn my job giving me three points of exhaustion every day. Time to watch the rest of the VoD now, I suppose! (For the future, David: portals are typically considered Conjuration magic, according to Plane Shift, Teleportation Circle, etc.) Fun fact: in the new 2024 rules for D&D, incapacitation *does* explicitly end a barbarian's rage. But that's new. I don't know if I like it; after all, being incapacitated doesn't stop you from being aware, and honestly I'd be *more* angry if someone locked me down. On the other hand, it stops you from attacking, which would end the rage after your next turn anyway, so... mechanically, maybe it doesn't matter? I dunno -- debate the 2024 rules amongst yourself, nerds in the comments 😂
That Robin Williams impression was spot on.
